Chapter 7: Beast Dominion
Leo did what Rurk said and stood aside. Next names were being called, but Leo's attention wasn't on that, rather a digital sort of holographic screen in front of him.
Leo was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even notice Zolton awakening his Beast Taming talent. Zolton really did awaken, the one in a hundred thousand.
While Zolton was busy getting full of himself, Leo was going through what he had received.
Leo *Leonel Draven* -> Leo
Level - 0 (0/10)
Soul Strength - Common, *Mythical*
Talent - Beastiary of Souls, *Primordial Beast Taming*
[Beastiary of Souls]
Effect 1: Can collect the beast essence from the core of the slain beast, making the core useless. Later, the stored essence can be used to enhance a similar type of tamed beast's bloodline and strength. The essence contains a random skill of the slain beast, which can be absorbed by the recipient beast.
Effect 2: Can collect the soul essence of Beasts that have gained intelligence and use it to enhance the soul of the talent holder. With an extremely rare chance to gain a talent from the soul.
[Primordial Beast Taming]
Due to the soul not being native to this world, a suitable talent had been bestowed upon it.
Effect: The bond formed due to this talent is 'Primordial Bond.' Even if the Beast and tamer are not fully bonded, it allows the tamer to share senses and strength with their tamed beasts. If the bond level increases, the tamer can share more strength with their bonded Beast and even communicate with them.

What the hell! A fucking system! Lets gooo.
But who is Beast God Sanguor?... a God. Yes, he is a God. He saved my fucking life. Thank you!
He observed his system interface carefully.
So... it looks like my original information are in between the asterisk signs... Which means I have a Mythical Soul! And the world can only detect the original owner's soul, so thats why it displayed Common soul rank.
And it looks like it was my soul that awakened the taming skill... wait, doesn't it mean that even if I had awakened a talent? Just because it was not a taming type, it would go unnoticed, as only taming talents form a visible reaction to eyes. That was dangerous, I might have just cried in corner after someone beat the shit out of me just because I was a 'commoner'.
Fhew... lucky me.
And what does it say? I can share the strength of my tamed beast and on top of that I can enhance the strenght of my beast with the other talent? Isn't that overpowered like hell?!
Leo was right to think that way; normally, a Beast Master hones their body to grow in strength and can share at most the beast's magical skills and not it strenght, unless they have some special talents that can share strenght or fuse with their beast using a fusion skill that they attain when their bond with the beast grows to a soul level.
There are four levels of bond. Everyone starts at the lowest level with their newly contracted beasts.
1. Chain Bond (Lowest)
Forced subjugation; beast obeys out of fear and forced contract clause.
Stable when beasts are of low★, but prone to rebellion as they grow stronger and the bond has not improved.
Growth is stunted; bottlenecks are harder to overcome.
2. Blood Bond (Intermediate)
Forms when beast trusts the tamer completely and uses the tamer's blood to imprint a mark on its soul; shares vitality between tamer and beast.
More stable, allows smoother growth through bottlenecks. Beast is ready to lay down its life willing for their tamer.
If beast dies, tamer suffers backlash.
3. Soul Bond (High)
Deeper resonance; beast and tamer share fragments of soul, which evolves automatically from the blood bond as their bond strength increases.
Highest stability and greatest potential growth.
Enables access to Fusion Skills (unique powers born from synergy).
4. Ascendant Bond (Extremely Rare)
Born only when beast and tamer reach perfect harmony.
Can break bloodline limits, even creating new evolutionary paths.
Both tamer and beast influence each other's growth (a Common soul-rank tamer could rise beyond expectation through a perfect Ascendant bond).

Leo was having hard time controlling his expression as he thought about the future possibilities.
Doesn't it means that from the moment I tame my first beast, I will be stronger?
Wait. Lets take a step back.
Why did I received this system? It just said the Beast God was fascinated by my desire to grow stronger and my potential. I don't have to do any noble deed to I? Like to save the world?
At most, the best noble deed I can do is take Lily with me and live on a mountain to level up peacefully. That would save the world from a crazy maniac.
...
No response huh? Well don't complain later when I ignore the sorry souls just to save my hide.
And what is this system? What can it do and what are its limits?
...
Still no response... not a user-friendly thing.
Before Leo could think anymore, Rurk's voice attracted his attention.
"Alright, this years awakening trail is over. Those who have failed, promptly leave before someone drags you out, and those who have passed follow me to the Beast Hall building. Get yourself registered there and contract your first beast of choice which are secured by the Hall for you."
Leo finally came out of his chain of thoughts and observed his surroundings. Out of around 40 people, nearly 30 have awakened and rest walked away. It was then that he saw among the awakened Zolton was also present.
"This is bad. Now he might just come himself to take Lily away. I need to grow strong quickly." Leo muttered cautiously.
---
Rurk took them inside a building made of polished wood and stone with intricate designs on them.
Well, that looks expensive.
There, everyone got their details registered and received a copper badge signifying their Noble status, albeit the lowest rank, a Knight. An interesting fact that Leo observed was that even Zolton, although having a surname due to his father, was not a registered noble himself. He too received a copper badge signifying his nobility status.
After everyone registered, a new person started escorting them to an open area where several cages were lined up in order.
Looks like Rurk got way too bored with us.
Then the man who escorted them began.
"Everyone listen closely. Here are beasts that were captured by experienced Beast Masters. You will get time till evening to decide which beast to tame. It is possible that you may not like the beasts that are here."
He meaningfully looked at Zolton.
"So, you are free to go and try your luck in the wild; no one will stop you. But my suggestion to those who are not privileged enough is to choose their first beast here itself. Train them, grow a bit stronger and hunt in the wild to grow even more stronger to help his majesty the Emperor rule over more land. Remember, now humanity's survival lies in your hands."
Everyone nodded, and the man finally gave way for people to choose their beast of their liking.
"Everyone can choose only one beast, so choose carefully." The man mentioned before departing back.
But Leo momentarily stopped, before continuing so as not to arouse suspicion.
He was able to see all the beasts' bloodline rank and personalities above their heads!
