"That… Sensei…"
A timid voice reached Gojo ears.
He turned to see Miura Yumiko running up, her little face a mix of fear and astonishment.
"What's wrong?" he asked, tilting his head, curiosity flickering in his blue eyes inside his blindfolded.
"No, it's nothing," Yumiko said quickly, shaking her head.
Her gaze, however, couldn't stop glancing at Gojo, still filled with disbelief and lingering awe.
She had just witnessed the horrifying spectacle of the weasel-like filth exploding into pentagrams—an image that would never leave her mind.
And at the center of it all had been the girl who saved her, Benio Adashino, standing tall beside Gojo-sensei.
"Gojo-sensei… should we erase her memory?" Benio asked, her tone flat, as if it were a routine question.
As a prodigy in the use of spell techniques, Benio could erase memories, though she rarely used the ability.
"Eh? No! I don't want that!"
Yumiko exclaimed, waving her arms frantically. The idea of having her memory erased terrified her.
Seeing Yumiko's refusal, Benio remained silent, turning her calm gaze toward Gojo, waiting for his decision.
Miura's eyes flicked nervously between them. The thinking look on Gojo's face made her think he was deeply considering it, as he clasped his chin in thought.
"If we don't erase her memory, what if she says something later?" he muttered softly.
"No, Sensei! I promise! I'll never tell anyone!" Yumiko said, her expression earnest.
"Then what if you reveals my identity, or Benio's? After all, she will attend Sobu High School in the future."
"Absolutely not, Sensei! I swear! If you don't believe me, I'll do anything… anything, as long as it doesn't have anything to do with erasing my memory!"
"Anything?"
Gojo deliberately drew out the word, his gaze playfully sweeping over Yumiko.
Despite his blindfolded, Yumiko felt his eyes lingering, and her pale, delicate face flushed bright red. She crossed her arms and whispered defensively:
"It's not okay to… do lustful things!"
Even with Hayato Hayama, whom she liked, she had never allowed him to touch her.
Gojo chuckled quietly to himself, shaking his head.
He stepped closer, gently patting her head.
"I'm joking. You're Shizuka's student. I wouldn't dare do anything to you. Otherwise, she would kill me if she found out."
"Whew…" Yumiko exhaled in relief, though the gentle touch on her head made her little face scrunch up.
Even as the 'queen' of the school, she found herself squashed by Gojo Umaru's presence.
.....
After returning to reality,
Miura inhaled deeply, taking in the crisp air. The terrifying trip into that hidden world seemed like the worst nightmare.
She glanced at Gojo next to her and at Benio Adashino, now unmasked.
She couldn't help but laugh bitterly at herself.
How could this be real? The teacher she knew in school—the one whose presence was so calm and ordinary—was actually a legendary Onmyoji, a master of exorcism.
And the girl who had saved her, Benio Adashino, cold and impossibly cute, was about to enroll in Subo High School, in the first grade no less.
First grade! That meant she was barely sixteen, yet she was already capable of facing monsters. Even killing them.
Her resolve was astonishing.
"Huh?" Miura felt Benio gaze lock on her, eyes sharp yet assessing.
It made Yumiko fidget under the scrutiny.
"Then let's go, blonde student," Gojo said, placing his right hand lightly on Benio's shoulder and gesturing toward Yumiko.
Blonde student? Yumiko grumbled silently but puffed up her chest. "My name is Miura Yumiko! You have to remember it, Sensei!"
"Yes, yes, I will remember, Yumiko-san," Gojo replied smoothly.
With a subtle flick of the wrist and a flash of pentagrams, Gojo and Benio vanished from view, leaving only a stunned Miura behind.
Teleportation?
Yumiko rubbed her temples, her perception of reality completely shaken.
Ping! Ping!
Her phone buzzed in her pocket.
She fumbled it out to see an incoming call from Hayato.
Answering quickly, she put the phone to her ear.
"Hey, Yumiko, are you okay? I tried calling a few times and the line said you weren't available. Are you alright?"
Her heart warmed at his concern, but she replied calmly:
"I'm fine, Hayato. I've got something to take care of. You guys play first—I'm going home."
After hanging up, she tilted her head to the bright sky, eyes wide with disbelief.
So… onmyoji and monsters really exist in this world.
...
Blinking again, Benio Adashino found herself in a high-end apartment.
Gojo slowly walked towards the kitchen, opening the refrigerator and turning back with a casual smile.
"Coffee or black tea, little Benio?" he asked.
"Uh… coffee," she answered reflexively.
Her mind was still processing recent events, and a warm drink seemed grounding.
Gojo nodded knowingly and began preparing the coffee.
Benio hesitated for a moment, unsure how to behave, then noticed the huge couch and quickly settled onto it.
Suddenly, a Shikigami—an ethereal creature resembling a fusion of a cat and fox—descended gracefully onto her palm, stretching as if waking from a nap.
"Ah…, mama? Where are we?" the creature asked, glancing at the unfamiliar surroundings.
"Don't call me that," Benio whispered, patting the small creature's head.
The Shikigami tilted its head, scratching lightly in confusion.
Then—
"Your coffee, little Benio," Gojo voice came from the kitchen as he walk towards her, setting the steaming mug on the table.
"Hey, white-haired boy! She is mama, so why are you calling her Little Benio?" the Shikigami protested, pointing at Gojo with an indignant expression.
"You… Kinako!"
"mmmph!"
Benio immediately covered its mouth, silencing it.
"Sorry, Gojo-sensei. This is my Shikigami. And you don't say anything rude—this is Gojo-sensei, my teacher from now on."
"Gojo… Gojo?" The Shikigami blinked, still gagged, cold sweat forming along its forehead.
Wait… isn't that the name of the strongest person in the World.
Kinako shook his head faintly, trying to process the situation.
While—
Gojo sipped his coffee calmly, a faint smile on his face.
Around him, the room seemed safe for the first time in hours.
Yet, outside, the world was chaotic—a storm of filth and demonic-energy brewing, waiting for the next encounter.
