"You deadass?" Bradley looked at him with his misty body, feeling excited that the moments he had read about in novels were finally happening to him.
"I am serious, and you seem pretty excited about it," the bearded man said with a surprised face, as Bradley's mood had shifted so quickly after hearing the news.
"I mean, who wouldn't be? I can go to a better world with so many powers, just like in the novels I read." He was already excited about choosing new powers from the old man.
"You might want to hold that thought right there. I'm not giving you any powers," the old man said with a shrug and a smile.
"What the fuck do you mean? Isn't it supposed to go like you give me powers, then I become strong as fuck and get a bunch of girls?" Bradley shouted in surprise, while also thinking, 'Don't read my mind.'
"Nah, nah, that would cause too much imbalance in the world. But don't worry, you'll have your memories and the potential of the body you're going to transmigrate into," the old man said, thinking about the novels Bradley was referring to and how the main characters became stronger than gods in them. "Also, nope to the second request," he added with a hearty laugh.
"Ugh, that's so weak, but whatever. Just send me to that world already." Bradley gave up on his overpowered dream but didn't feel too sad since he still had the chance to live again.
"Oh, before that, you have to choose the world you want to go to," the bearded man said with a smile. Suddenly, a blue screen appeared in front of Bradley with various choices.
[Worlds:
Bleach as Ichigo
Elden Ring as Tarnished One
One Piece as Luffy
Summertime Saga as the main character
Dragon Ball as Goku]
"Hmm, interesting choices. But yeah, Elden Ring? You've gotta go, buddy," Bradley said, immediately removing Elden Ring from his choices due to its difficulty.
"Why remove that one?" the bearded man asked with a curious expression.
"Can't you read my mind already? So I don't need to answer," Bradley said with an annoyed look, still a bit angry about not getting extra powers.
"Hey, you said not to read your mind, so I'm doing that," the bearded man said, shaking his head with a laugh.
"Ugh, it's just too difficult, and I'm not interested in dying repeatedly," Bradley said, reminiscing about how much he suffered in that game when he first played it.
"Fair, fair. But other worlds should be pretty fun, especially for a young man like you," the bearded man said, remembering how popular these shows were among young men and assuming Bradley would pick one of them.
"Hell nah! I'm not picking any of those," Bradley immediately denied, as going there was worse than death for him.
"Hmm? I thought it was popular among young men to read about people going into these worlds and all," the bearded man said, confused by his words.
"Yeah, it is, but I don't remember shit about these anime, except that they suffer a lot or die a lot," Bradley admitted honestly. "And who likes to suffer?"
"Tsk, tsk, young men these days. Back in my day..." Ignoring the old man, Bradley focused on the only remaining option among all the worlds he was given.
"Anyway, old man, what is this world about?" He decided to ask about Summertime Saga, a world he had never heard of.
"Oh, this?" Looking at the world Bradley was asking about, the old man couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Have you gone insane or what?" Bradley asked with a deadpan voice, looking at the weird actions of the supposed god.
"Well, let's just say it's a perfect world for a young man like you," the bearded man said with a smirk, knowing what happened in that world.
"Oh! Such as?" Bradley asked curiously, feeling that the world would be perfect for him, just as the old man said.
"Let's just say, it's a modern world with a lot of girls you can interact with," he said with a smile, looking at Bradley for his reaction.
"I don't trust you at all, old man." Bradley looked at him with a suspicious gaze. Even though his gut feeling told him the world was perfect, he couldn't trust the guy who accidentally killed him.
"Younglings nowadays, always doubting their elders. But it's not like you have any other choices, though?" the bearded man said, pointing out that after rejecting the suffering-filled worlds, only Summertime Saga remained.
"Well, you're right about that, and even my gut feeling says it's good for me, so just send me there already." Bradley couldn't deny his words and decided to go immediately to the new world, preferring to talk with beautiful girls than some old man. 'And wasn't the trope that some beautiful goddess would greet me, rather than this old husk?' Bradley looked at the old man with an annoyed look while waiting to get to the new world.
"Weird thoughts you got there, but anyway, are you sure you're going to that world?" The bearded man ignored Bradley's thought and asked for his confirmation.
"Yeah, I'm sure about it. And you're sure you're not going to give me any powers?" He tried a last-ditch effort to maybe get some extra power, but it was instantly rejected.
"No. Anyway, see ya, young man. It was nice to meet you." Just as the bearded man snapped his fingers, the white mist disappeared from his sight immediately.
"Well, let me just give you something." After feeling a bit bad, the old man decided to give a small gift to Bradley for his adventures in the new world.
