Before Gabe could say anything further, the door to Alex's office swung open.
A burly man dressed in a well-tailored black suit stepped inside. His presence alone commanded authority. He stopped a few feet from the desk and bowed his head respectfully.
"Greetings, Big Boss. Your friends and the rest of the staff are downstairs. They're waiting for your announcement."
His deep voice carried a formal tone that instantly made Gabe stiffen.
Big boss? Is Alex right or this is just an act?
Gabe's brows furrowed in confusion as he slowly turned to look at Alex.
"Shall we?" Alex asked calmly, his tone gentle as his eyes settled on Gabe's stunned face.
Without waiting for a response, Alex rose gracefully from his seat. He walked around the desk, positioned himself behind Gabe's wheelchair, and began pushing him toward the door.
"Alex, what exactly is...."
"You'll see," Alex cut in smoothly, his voice unreadable.
They entered the elevator. The ride down felt unusually long.
