Suddenly, fragments of memory came rushing back, slicing through Gabe's mind.
Romeo joining him and Alex for drinks… Alex agreeing far too easily… the strange tension hidden behind Romeo's charming smile… and then nothing but darkness.
Fuck. This bastard. Gabe muttered inwardly, his jaw tightening as fury flared across his face.
A low chuckle broke the silence.
"Oh… you're awake, Angry Bird," Romeo drawled lazily.
The blanket slipped from his body as he stood up from the bed, utterly unbothered by his nakedness. He stretched deliberately, as though he had all the time in the world, before strolling toward the door slowly.
Damn it… he didn't sleep with me, right? Of course he didn't. My body doesn't hurt. He's just trying to mess with my head. He's naked on purpose to make me think he had his way with me.
Rage overpowered the last remnants of panic.
Without wasting another second, Gabe jumped out of bed and stormed toward him.
