A minute later, an extremely angry roar echoed through the Hog's Head pub: "Get out!"
The three men, kicked out by the pub owner,
looked at each other, bewildered. They didn't know what they had done to offend him. The Hog's Head pub owner was a tall, thin old man with eccentric temperament, long, gray hair and beard.
Kyle felt he looked familiar, resembling Professor Dumbledore.
He wondered if the owner had some kind of grudge against his father, Grindelwald. Kyle thought their being kicked out might be related to his father's eyes.
When they first entered the pub, the owner had greeted them and asked what they wanted to drink.
But when he reached the bar and saw those eyes, the owner suddenly became extremely angry, grabbed a broom, and chased them out.
Kyle awkwardly touched his nose; it seemed the brothers wouldn't be getting their drinks.
After cursing the pub owner as a lunatic, George and Fred left dejectedly.
"Where are we going now?" Kyle asked.
George glanced at a shop with three brooms hanging outside not far ahead. "There are only two pubs in Hogsmeade Village, and the other one won't sell us alcohol."
"It's not like we have to buy alcohol," Kyle shrugged. "I have plenty in my cellar anyway."
Over the years, Kyle had earned far more money from street thugs than he had spent on renovating his hideout.
What could he do with all that money?
Of course, he'd buy things to satisfy his collecting obsession.
Guns that the gangsters didn't have, every type of game console on the market, all kinds of fine wines…
Kyle's cellar was stocked with enough wine for everyone at Hogwarts' dinner parties.
"You probably haven't tried wizarding sweets yet, have you? Shall we go to Honeydukes?"
…
When the three returned to the secret passage they had come from, they were carrying large and small bags of sweets.
Besides the bags in their hands, their pockets were also bulging.
The twin brothers looked a little embarrassed.
"We should have treated you, but you've ended up spending money again,"
Kyle waved his hand dismissively. "It's alright, I'm so poor I only have money left."
He truly was so poor he only had money left. The inheritance Grindelwald left him was at least tens of thousands of Galleons, and the price level in the wizarding world…
a wand only cost ten Galleons, can you believe it?
Hearing Kyle's words, the brothers' slight embarrassment vanished instantly, replaced by the urge to punch Kyle in the nose.
What did he mean by being so poor he only had money left?
Believe me, I'll slide tackle him, kneel down, and cling to this rich guy's leg!
The group chatted and laughed as they approached the mirror. When the mirror was moved aside, the smiles on George and Fred's faces vanished instantly.
"What's wrong?" Kyle, lagging behind, was confused.
"Professor McGonagall…" George said, his teeth chattering.
Hearing Professor McGonagall's name, Kyle's heart skipped a beat. He dropped the candy he was carrying and tried to run back.
"Come out, Mr. Dumbledore, I see you."
Three young wizards, trembling like quails, stood in a row in the fifth-floor corridor. Standing before them was Professor McGonagall, her face stern.
"Mr. Weasley, I think you should know that no student below the third year is allowed to go to Hogsmeade Village."
Kyle stepped forward. "Professor McGonagall, I asked them to take me!"
Professor McGonagall glared at Kyle. "I will relay your words to Professor Dumbledore." "Holy crap! Hogwarts even tells parents this stuff?!
" Professor McGonagall crossed her arms. "No matter the reason, you two shouldn't have sneaked off to Hogsmeade Village. You'll both be in detention for a week!"
"Thank goodness, no points deducted," George muttered almost inaudibly.
"Gryffindor lost twenty points!"
George looked up sharply.
"Twenty points each," Professor McGonagall added.
Kyle, standing beside him, silently lowered his head.
Although he didn't know how severe the punishment was, seeing his twin brothers being punished for taking him to Hogsmeade Village made him feel terrible.
And the thought of Professor McGonagall calling their parents made Kyle feel utterly awful.
"Your detention starts at eleven o'clock tonight. The task is to patrol the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid," Professor McGonagall said, looking at Kyle, whose head was practically buried in his collar. "If you weren't already enrolled, you'd be in detention too."
With that, Professor McGonagall quietly left without looking back.
Kyle Dumbledore's head popped back out of his collar. He intended to offer some words of comfort to his two brothers, but instead, their faces were filled with excitement.
"Finally, we have a legitimate reason to enter the Forbidden Forest!" Fred exclaimed excitedly.
"The Forbidden Forest is full of wondrous magical creatures, and we've been looking for a chance to go there for ages."
Upon hearing that the detention involved going to the Forbidden Forest, the forty points deducted from Gryffindor were completely forgotten.
Uh… looking at these two so thick-skinned, Kyle figured they didn't need his comforting words.
"If it's the Forbidden Forest," a slow smile appeared on Kyle's face, "perhaps I can take you to see something interesting."
He wondered if Professor Dumbledore had dealt with Cerberus yet; letting Cerberus roam freely in the Forbidden Forest was definitely not an option.
Oh well, he'd ask Hagrid tonight.
"You're coming too? But Professor McGonagall didn't punish you?" George asked curiously.
"We'll share the good times and the bad," Kyle patted George on the shoulder. "After all, the three of us went to Hogsmeade together; it can't be just the two of you getting punished."
Fred grinned. "Sharing the bad times? I totally agree!"
Kyle picked up the bags of candy he had just put on the ground. "See you in the Gryffindor common room at 11 p.m.."
With that, Kyle started to leave.
However, he turned back after a few steps. "Um… could you take me back? I don't know the way."
George and Fred's cheerful laughter echoed in the fifth-floor corridor.
Kyle awkwardly rubbed his nose. If he weren't carrying things, he would have climbed out the window and over the wall. He
definitely had to ask Professor Dumbledore later if there were any portable storage items like sealing scrolls or storage rings in the wizarding world. Otherwise, what was the point of carrying around even buying candy?
"Come on, come on, we'll take you back." After laughing enough, the twin brothers led the way for Kyle.
The three of them disappeared down the corridor.
Unbeknownst to them, just around the corner on the other side of the corridor, in their blind spot, a figure stood silently in the shadows.
If George and Fred had seen him, they would have recognized him as their Defense Against the Dark Arts professor—Tom Hiddleston.
Tom Hiddleston's eyes burned with the flames of revenge as he murmured, "Eleven o'clock tonight…the Forbidden Forest? My chance…has come…"
