Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

The elite genius who, despite all that, left without looking back the moment his contract ended. He's still young but that kid is a monster. When it comes to work, he has no mercy.

Is he even hiding his face? They don't seem to be able to identify my brother by face. All I discovered was that he was concealed in obscurity. Since I'm in front of them, they might be in a mess right now if they knew his face.

It's hard to imagine someone with such talent turning down those opportunities, But i guess he values his freedom and passion more than prestige. The way he dives into projects out of pure curiosity is what truly sets him apart from others in his field.

My brother, who's lucky. Is it so. unbelievable that everything he works on comes to fruition. When would he ever think of showing up for me? "Maybe he believes his success is enough to keep him in the spotlight, even if it means sacrificing our relationship. I wish he could see how much it hurts to be left in the shadows."

This means only one thing. I don't have to worry anymore because they know my brother but not his face or name. starting from this day on. I will live as if I were him. Sorry, brother, but I have to do this so that we can live longer and be free. I will adopt his mannerisms, his style, and even his voice if necessary. It's a risky game, but the stakes have never been higher, and I refuse to let fear dictate my future.

So how is that guys? ? Are we all okay now? Aren't you angry anymore? Who said we're not angry anymore?.... Han Joon said while smiling like a fool

They made a noise with their fists and looked at me at the same time. They rushed at me with Kei leading them pushed me to the floor and burst out laughing. Stand up, you idiots; you're the ones who are weighing me down. I can't breathe.

With a sudden burst of energy, I pushed them off and stood up, brushing off the dirt from my clothes. "Alright, alright, let's just settle down and talk this out," I said, trying to regain some control over the chaotic moment.

We'll forgive you if you come with us. Where are we going? I calmly asked. Let's celebrate .... We have a surprise party planned at restaurant, and I promise it will be a night to remember. Just grab your coat, It's cold outside and let's make this a celebration you'll never forget!

Where are we Haji? To Ho Lee Fook or Michelin star restaurants? Han Joon asked the man with red hair.

Is it really possible for us to get out? I wonder how they will get out if we are on an island so far away there are no ships at this time... Don't worry, we have many pilots here, we'll take a helicopter to get there.

Are you sure we won't get hurt by what you're doing? It seems strange that we can go out at this hour? maybe dad will scold me if he finds out. Han Joon put his hand on my shoulder, and said don't worry, we'll take care of you.

Let's go; we might not be allowed next time. They dragged me, and I couldn't do anything. When we got out of the forest, How are you all? A tall man stepped out of the helicopter to greet us. there were two helicopters waiting for us. The rotors whirred loudly as we approached, the sound drowning out my racing thoughts. I knew our escape was just the beginning of a much larger ordeal, and I could feel the weight of uncertainty settling in.

They wanted to beat me up earlier but then they invited me out for drinks to welcome me. I'm not sure if these guys are Weird or I'm the weird one I'm puzzled about. When we arrived at the restaurant they said everything was ready, it turned out that reservations were possible so everything was already set up. They occupied two large tables

I didn't understand anything they were talking about, so I just kept quiet to one side.

Oh, right your turn. Alistair, your glass is empty. Damn it, I want to punch him. what should I do? Is it okay to drink like this? What if there's an emergency? I looked to Kei for help.

I don't drink alcohol. Even when I was in the military, alcohol was strictly prohibited. I need to make an excuse to avoid it. I thought they were going to eat. why do these idiots seem to be getting drunk? It's frustrating when plans take an unexpected turn.

Right, guys, Nathan was a member of the military before he got here. That's why he's so stuffy and serious sometimes. However, when the situation calls for it, he knows how to let loose and have a good time, showing a different side of himself that surprises everyone.

You know, my friend, don't worry about it. There's no reason to be tense around here. unless you get something knifed by your colleagues, that is, we've never been attacked. However, it's always good to stay alert and maintain a positive atmosphere. After all, fostering camaraderie can help us all feel more secure and supported.

But the ones you need to worry about are those bastards. Those sons of bitches from the Grace branches. Why do I have to worry about what they're doing? I suddenly became interested in what Han Joon said. His words echoed in my mind, stirring a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

Those guys are going to shameless stroll in here soon! What do you mean? Can you explain it better so I can understand how shameless it is and why? It's hard to believe they would just waltz in without a care in the world, as if they own the place. Their lack of awareness about how others perceive their actions is what makes it so audacious.

The Grace branch is the absolute worst. The Asia and Europe branches fight like dogs and cats. Their constant bickering not only disrupts productivity but also creates a toxic atmosphere that affects everyone involved. It's hard to see a resolution in sight when tensions run so high.

I guess they really are on bad terms. If that's the case, does that mean even those at the top can't stop them? from escalating the situation? It seems like the divide is too deep for any intervention to make a difference.

I wonder if he's coming. Haji suddenly said. I drank the juice in front of me, ignoring the alcohol they put in my glass earlier. I kept listening to their conversation.

Who is he? I asked in a small tone. Suddenly they all fell silent as if a bomb had exploded because of my question. The weight of their silence hung heavily in the air, and I could feel the tension building among them. It was clear that my inquiry had struck a nerve, and curiosity mingled with apprehension as I awaited their response.

There's no way they'd send him, that psychopath, when so many people are going to be out for his blood. If those Europeans value their lives. They won't put their members at risk like that. The stakes are too high, and the potential fallout could be catastrophic. They need to consider alternative solutions that prioritize safety while still addressing the underlying issues at hand.

No, if you think about it from the perspective of the higher-ups at the Europe branch, sending him is the better option. Think about it. Would they rather have him attacking people on their own turf? I was just thinking about seeing his face. I'm so scared; that guy is terrifying.

It's understandable to feel that way, especially considering his reputation. The decision might be pragmatic, but it certainly raises concerns about safety and the potential fallout from his actions! Kei spoke calmly to them so that our companions could calm down, as everyone seemed to be anxious because of the man they were talking about.

What's wrong with that man you're talking about that makes you seem so afraid of him?

It's difficult to pinpoint exactly, but there's an unsettling aura around him that makes people uneasy. Perhaps it's the way he carries himself or the intensity in his gaze that leaves others feeling vulnerable.

When he first came here, Instructor Arthur said, "He crippled four guys and killed one on foreign soil. How do you think he'd act on his home ground?" "I'm sure things will be even worse next time."The tension in the room was palpable as everyone exchanged uneasy glances. Doubts lingered in the air, leaving a sense of dread about what might unfold if they didn't take action soon.

If he ever comes here, Alistair, no matter what happens, don't go near or even talk to that man; he's a madman worse than a demon. The stories about him are chilling, and many who have crossed his path have never returned the same. Trust me, it's better to stay as far away as possible.

It's not because everyone is afraid of him; I also should be afraid of him because he kills without hesitation? And besides, I have nothing to fear; I don't even know that person. Yet, there's an unsettling feeling in my gut, a nagging doubt that perhaps I should be more cautious. Ignoring the potential danger might be a mistake, especially when whispers of his ruthlessness echo through the shadows of my mind.

They looked at each other as if they couldn't believe what I said. The silence between them was palpable, filled with a mix of surprise and uncertainty. Finally, one of them broke the tension, asking hesitantly, "Are you really serious about that?"

Of course, do I look like I'm joking? I don't need to be afraid of someone I don't know.

We are saying this because we are just concerned so that we have nothing to regret, and at least we told you to avoid him when you see him. Believe us, you will not have peace of mind when you meet him. He is called a madman psychopath because of his behavior that is worse than the devil. It's important to prioritize your safety and well-being above all else. Trust your instincts and surround yourself with supportive people who genuinely care for you.

How did that psycho even get into the conquistador organization? Haji chuckled.

Well, that's not surprising. We all passed the test, so I won't wonder how he got in. He went through training just like us; the only difference is. That man is literally a psychopath. and his unpredictability makes him both a liability and an asset. We have to keep our guard up around him, as his twisted logic could turn our plans upside down at any moment.

Training for a test? I didn't take anything like that... Didn't you guys all get in because you were good with weapons? Then, it makes sense for a psychopath like that to be accepted too! Even though I don't know what kind of psycho he is exactly. It's clear that he has a unique skill set that caught their attention. Perhaps it's not just about the weapons; maybe there's something deeper that makes him stand out in a way.

Suddenly, Han Joon tapped my shoulder, making me flinch. No, You're wrong. It's true that we've all handled weapons before, but that lunatic's mind is what's different. It's unpredictable, and that's what makes him dangerous. We need to be prepared for anything if we want to stop him before he strikes again.

I will ask you, Alistair. Could you pull the trigger without hesitation against someone who's done nothing to you? Most people couldn't, including all of us here; it's impossible not to hesitate before hurting someone who isn't your enemy.

I was shocked by what he said. Is it really possible for someone like that to kill an innocent person? The weight of his words lingered in my mind, creating a gnawing doubt that I couldn't shake off. I found myself questionin not only his character but also the nature of evil itself.

See? You can't answer because it's true?

I stood up, and Haji, who was next to me on the other side, turned around. I feel bad about this. I'm going to the bathroom. Kei stared at me before nodding in agreement. As I walked away, I could feel their eyes on me, a mix of concern and curiosity. I took a deep breath, hoping to gather my thoughts and return with a clearer mind.

As I walked down the long hallway leading out of the restaurant, I was stunned, as if I had lost track of where the bathroom was. What kind of hallway is this, long and winding, or is it just like this because I'm not used to this place? The vibrant sounds of laughter and clinking glasses faded behind me, replaced by a heavy silence that seemed to stretch on forever. It was as if the world outside had transformed, leaving me in a moment of disorientation and uncertainty.

There are no bathrooms on the side, only block 1, block 2, or something. There's not even a single similarity between here and the floor above. I regretted not bringing Kei with me so I wouldn't be confused on the road now. As I wandered through the unfamiliar halls, I couldn't shake the feeling of isolation creeping in. Every corner revealed more stark differences,

A few more steps and I heard a crash, and I stepped on some blood on the floor. I followed where it ended, and I went back inside but in a different direction. I ended up in the bathroom without realizing it because I was following the footsteps of a person with blood. The air was thick with tension, and I could feel my heart racing as I peered into the dimly lit room. The sound of dripping water echoed ominously, and I hesitated at the threshold, unsure of what I might find next.

Who's there? When I got inside, I couldn't see anything. I looked for my phone in my pocket, but I was stunned when a cold hand grabbed one of my legs. I froze in place, my heart racing as the grip tightened. Panic surged through me, and I instinctively kicked out, trying to break free from whatever was lurking in the darkness.

P-please, someone save my baby, I'm begging! ...They want to kill me. Her sobs brought me back to my thoughts. I looked for the light switch. With trembling hands, I finally found the switch and flicked it on, flooding the room with harsh light. The sight before me was unbearable, but I steeled myself, knowing I had to act quickly to protect her and find a way out.

A beautiful woman was lying on the floor, her entire body covered in blood. I covered my mouth with my hand, unable to find the right words in such shock. I grabbed both of her arms to help her sit up. As I gently pulled her up, I noticed the fear in her eyes, a silent plea for help that ignited a sense of urgency within me. "Stay with me," she whispered, as I desperately scanned the room for anything that could assist in her rescue.

I forced open a door; I didn't know if anyone was there or not. I didn't care anymore. I had to save this person no matter what. Ahhh, she was moaning in pain. She felt the pain in her left shoulder, which was wounded by a gunshot. She was weak and sweating profusely. I put her down on the couch, just stay here, I'll come back to you no matter what happens, I'll take you to the hospital. She held my hand, Come back, please, i nodded at her. I saw the tears fall from her eyes.

I'm running out in a hurry; I need kei, I need a car. I need to take her to the hospital. When I arrived at their place, I was out of breath, and everyone was looking at me in surprise. I quickly explained the situation, and without hesitation, they offered me the keys to their car. As I jumped in, my heart raced with urgency, hoping we would make it in time.

"Take care of my car; I just bought it last night," Haji's friend shouted. It's a good thing they had a friend with them today who had a car. "I'll go with you," Kei said. "Where is she? 'Where did you leave the injured woman you're taking to the hospital? I pointed toward the nearby Door, When we got down to the last floor, his expression tense. "She's just around the corner, but we need to hurry; every second counts."

My whole body went cold when I saw her disappear from the couch where I left her. As I stepped into the dimly lit room, the air was thick with tension and the faint scent of blood. My heart raced as I scanned the shadows, hoping to find a clue or a sign of life that would guide me to her. A gunshot made me scream no.

Don't move; I'll kill this woman. Kei and I were stunned when someone spoke behind us. While our both hands up. I slowly turned to face her. I felt like crying when I saw the condition of the woman I left earlier. Goddamn it, I shouldn't have left her earlier. The figure stepped closer, their eyes glinting with malice as they raised a weapon. Desperation clawed at my chest; I couldn't let this happen again. A man pulled her hair while her back was turned to them. I can see how she was hurt. Panic surged through me as I lunged forward, my instincts taking over. I couldn't stand by and watch her suffer any longer; I had to act, even if it meant putting myself in danger.

A small knife hit the man before he fell to the floor; a loud scream was all he could muster. I looked at Kei, who was seething with anger. With a swift motion, he rushed toward the assailant, determination etched on his face. I could hardly keep up as chaos erupted around us, the air thick with tension and fear.
