"That's so adorable," she said, smiling at Griffenne, who giggled, jumping down before yawning loudly, but still racing into the house with Everlearn in her arms.
Though even as they left, he still felt the woman's suspicious gaze right at the back of his head.
"Greta."
Grildor called out to his wife, who turned to him with furrowed eyebrows.
"Where did you get that thing from?" she asked, and he paused, looking at her serious expression.
That was exceedingly rare.
"It was just after the Illumino Mech Grave, still within the boundary of the hunting grounds," he responded.
"Do you not think him different from a beast?"
"I do. He looks almost like us, just tiny. And he's been unnervingly calm and quiet."
"But as much as he's like that, he doesn't look as aggressive as the other beasts. He's harmless," Grildor defended, but her furrowed eyebrows showed she wasn't accepting that.
"Oh, do not worry about it."
