Chapter 84 - I’m sorry

Dominic didn't return until a while later. His hands tucked in his pocket, expression tight and eyes dangerously narrowed into slits. Jason was behind him.

I rushed out of my seat as they drew closer. Dominic was fine, but Jason wasn't. He had a huge purple bruise on his forehead and chin. I blinked in surprise as my gaze drifted to Dominic's hand. Even though he was flexing it, I didn't see any sign that he could have hit Jason. But how come he had gotten injured in that manner?

"Hey, are you alright?" I asked Dominic as I reached him. Jason sat a few distances from us, his palms clasped, his head like he was afraid it'd fall off his neck.

"I'm fine," Dominic grunted. He sat, his gaze far away.

"Did you find anything?" I murmured, sitting next to him. I was sure he had returned home to check if there'd be any evidence of who the culprit might be. I doubted Mila would be able to tell us anything. Her condition wasn't even sure yet.
