DOMINIC
This was the moment of truth.
But all I could hear was silence. If a pin dropped right now, it'd be the loudest sound in the room.
I glanced around, taking in every face—each one frozen in the same expression: shock. As expected.
Richard shifted uncomfortably in his chair under their stunned stares, but he went on, undeterred.
"If you have any questions regarding the company's direction or the current situation with the project, kindly prepare them. Mr. Fletcher will be taking over officially—"
"Officially?" the first director, the same one who wanted me gone, interrupted. His voice strangled with disbelief. He looked from Richard to me, then back again, before throwing his head back in laughter, tears forming in the corners of his eyes.
"Wait… wait," he wheezed, clutching his stomach. "You're telling us that Dominic Fletcher is the invisible owner of GenVanta?"
Richard nodded once, cool and firm. "He's not invisible anymore."
