"Yours?!" Dominic growled, but Harper didn't let him finish what he had to say as she marched toward him, her finger stabbing hard into his chest.
"Yes, his," she answered through a hiss. "Are you jealous that I am no longer within your reach for you to control? Are you mad that I found someone who finds me worthy enough to be with him? Someone who doesn't think he needs to give me the whole damned world, using his money as a form of affection? Or throw my feelings away like it didn't matter?"
"Baby…" Dominic said weakly, his eyes searching her face.
I almost pitied him for the expression on his face. But then again, I didn't. He was my rival. That had been established long before I ever met him. And when it came to either business or relationships, I didn't pity people like him.
