Seraphine's POV

Tiara? My heart skipped a beat when I heard her name. Why would she come here to Elder Gina's house? The confusion twisted in my stomach as I tried to understand her motives.

Being an orphan meant Alpha Nash was supposed to escort me down the temple aisle and officially present me as a bride to Alpha Theodore. Perhaps that was why she had come.

"You don't need to see her, Lady Seraphine," Tatiana whispered, sensing my reluctance.

I pulled the belt of my robe tighter around my waist. "No, I should handle this," I said quietly. I climbed down from the massage table, determined to end this conversation quickly. After turning down Alpha Nash's advances, I wanted nothing more to do with their pack.

Walking into the main room, I discovered Tiara sitting rigidly, anger practically crackling around her like electricity. Nothing new there.

"You asked to see me?" I said, keeping my voice neutral.
