Zain. The surname echoed in my mind like a haunting melody as I desperately searched through the fragments of my past.

I knew that name from somewhere. Seraphine Zain. The moment the connection formed in my brain, shock stole the air from my lungs. My chest tightened as I struggled to breathe normally.

The wolf from my visions at the Elderemere ruins had carried that exact name. He was the one who had cast aside his moon-mate, Aria, like she meant nothing.

For so long, I had convinced myself those images were nothing more than hallucinations born from my broken mind. But what if they were real? What if I had witnessed actual events from the distant past?

By the goddess. This was my first time learning Theodore's family name, yet it felt as natural as my own heartbeat. As if I was meant to carry the name Seraphine Zain.

"Seraphine?" His voice was gentle but concerned.
