Theodore's POV
Two days had passed since I left the High Council's library, though I hadn't found the answers I sought. What drove me back was the vision that haunted my every moment - Seraphine drenched in crimson, her life slipping away. The image tormented me so deeply that Federico practically dragged me home, demanding I check on our mate.
My worst fears materialized when I discovered Seraphine unconscious in the pack hospital. The sight of her motionless form on that sterile bed sent agony ripping through my chest, as though someone had torn away pieces of my very essence. Her skin held the pallor of death, so delicate and breakable that my wolf clawed frantically beneath my skin, desperate to gather her close. My hands shook uncontrollably until I forced them into fists.
