"Welcome, sir. The director is already expecting you," she said.
Chibuzor merely nodded. He wasn't in the mood for pleasantries, but he didn't want to be rude either.
He reached the office door and paused, knocking lightly.
"Come in," Olisa's familiar voice called out.
Chibuzor stepped inside.
"Hey, man," Olisa said, standing to greet him. "This is a nice surprise! I can't even remember the last time you were here."
Chibuzor gave a curt nod.
"What's up?" Olisa asked, gesturing toward the seat opposite him.
"There's no way you visited me for nothing," he added, sitting as well. Chibuzor mirrored him, lowering into his chair, eyes fixed on Olisa.
Silence settled between them like a heavy fog. Five minutes passed. Then ten. Still, Chibuzor didn't speak.
