Seeing the flicker of realization on his friend's face, Olisa knew he had understood the point. Still, she wanted to hear it from him.
"What are you thinking?" he asked, curious.
"I'm thinking you're right," Chibuzor replied, his voice low. "She may have suggested the divorce, but I'm the one who pushed her into it."
"How?" Olisa asked, though he already had a hunch.
"I literally refused, refused to even consider a long distance relationship," he admitted, his teeth clenched slightly. "And that's what made her suggest we go our separate ways."
Olisa nodded, relief flooding her expression. "Exactly. You didn't give her a chance to propose the compromise you both needed. You pushed, and you pushed… until you pushed her away."
