"And you did not even talk to her about it? I mean… you two must have figured something out, right?" Olisa asked.
Chibuzor hesitated. "Yes… um, I think we did," he admitted, suddenly realizing how little actual progress they had made. All they had done was argue, dig in their heels, refuse to compromise.
"What do you mean, 'you think you did'?" Olisa raised an eyebrow.
"Well…" Chibuzor rubbed the back of his neck. "I told her I did not want her to go. I needed her here.
If she could transfer to the university nearby, that would be best."
Olisa's mouth fell open. "You are kidding. Wait… let me get this straight. You just told her not to go, that you needed her here, and that she should… just change from her dream school like that?"
Chibuzor's face went a little red. "Um… yeah. That's exactly what I said."
Olisa blinked, incredulous, then let out a low whistle. "Bold move, man… bold move."
