Her mind was spinning so fast that she could not even remember how she was supposed to react. She was not acting anymore. She was just… confused.
Thankfully, Olisa burst into the waiting area at that moment and rushed toward them.
"Hey, guys," he said quickly, forcing a laugh that did not quite land. "I think you should have this conversation somewhere private."
That was when it hit Chibuzor.
He looked up.
Phones. Cameras. Wide eyes. Whispering mouths. People pretending not to stare while recording everything.
Everywhere.
But that was not what scared him the most.
As his gaze moved from one phone to another, one curious face to the next, it finally landed on her eyes.
And his chest dropped.
She looked… confused. Deeply confused.
Completely shaken.
