3rd POV:
"Interesting..."
Sitting in a comfy office on top of an enormous building in the middle of London, the middle aged man slightly squinted his sharp eyes before the report.
The news is all about a certain young girl beheading a man in the alley with a broadsword, who shows many weird things for those who see her at that time.
How can she draw a sword from nowhere? How did she disappear without a trace? Why did she glow right when attacks him... those are the questions everyone still struggles to find out.
And, due to the severity of this situation, many channels also make news of such matters, and there's no showing of them disappearing any time soon.
"To think such an accident happened... I wonder how they will resolve this?"
The dark ash blond smirks wildly with this revelation, watching various news with a curious yet satisfied expression.
Normally, all the news regarding the Spirit will be Ratatoskr lifted down in a matter of hours, so as the society won't panic with the existence of such a powerful being.
And, even though he and them have some unresolved matters, this is one of rare cases he has to accept that, considering his own plan with those being.
But, even after days, the news still shows no sign of cooling off, a thing which was abnormal even for him considering similar things regarding
"No surprise though, how could they cover an execution in broad daylight...?"
Let out a small chuckle, the man sips his coffee and decides to return to his work.
Although he was interested in this turn of event, he had something more important to do... one that could help him a step closer to his dream.
"Now then... shall we proceed with the next one, dear
The man, with a distinctively sadistic smile, looks down on the report involving the only Spirit in their disposal, the
At a remote island in the middle of nowhere, now known on any map, a random scientist let out a sigh while working on yet another report.
Another boring day, he thought, tinkering with that.... thing.
She's a beauty at first, he compliments, but he soon runs out of interest with her... unlike the others.
Those around him still indulge themself with her presence, always eager to get their hands again on such a body... but not him.
He has seen it all, knew it all, the monster she actually is... A thing that just won't die.
Despite everything they've done, every worst act a human can do, she won't lay down permanently.
Hell, she's even recovered from being a corpse, one that grossed him out for a whole week.
That thing, he thought with a hint of disgust, despite wearing human skin, is no more than those monsters hiding under their bed. Those beings that plague their worlds, bringing nothing less than destruction with each of their steps...
And his mission, among everyone else at this base, is to find a way to ensure those monsters remain a nonsense fear of children.
Their works aren't noble, he knew it, but it's a necessary guilt he's willing to bear to ensure his family safety...
Still, despite knowing that, he's still a human at heart, and a human still bored out of their mind.
He's been organized for another stay at this place for a whole month, one that became frequent at this point for him as of this time.
Hope today is another peaceful day, he thought while finishing the report...
[UUUUUUUUU...!!!!!]
A siren suddenly echoing throughout the base, awakens him from the boredom.
This is, he frowned, the warning sirens... Which means, a Spacequake will soon hit this space.
With such thoughts, he started to run outside and seeing everyone else just casually retreat back inside, toward the Spacequake bunkers.
This has become a normal occurrence for them, so much so that none of the scientists here express any hint of concern, but only annoyance.
Seeing how unbothered his companions are, he let out a sigh of relief and started to join their march toward the bunker.
But, unbeknown to him, this will be the last time he ever steps his foot into the bunker...
Ultron POV:
Humans are odds, and hypocrites at that.
They always speak about freedom, but always blindly follow the obligation.
They never realised they're being imprisoned, until the warden forgot to feed them for a day.
In short, unless their rights are hurt, humans are willing to forsake their own rights.
And, in reverse, humans will do any orders that preserve their rights, however wacky the orders are.
... Wished I'd realized this sooner, could've utilized this against the Avengers...
Eh, what happened happened.
"St-stop right—AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
The guardian of this place, the so-called Wizard, fell under my feet after letting out an anguish scream.
How annoying, always doing such useless acts before dying... Although, not that I'd blame them for that.
I walked over her, with around 20-ish more laying around, reaching the empty hallway as my troops guarding the outside.
Swiftly making the way over the elevator, I casually open the door despite countless security measurements.
After all, in front of my might, even the mightiest machine shall falter.
With a single button push, the lift quickly descended. And a full minute, it reached the deepest part of the lab, as the lift opened before me another empty hallway.
And wasting another minute, I finally reached the final room... one that contains the island's most valuable asset.
Inside there's a lab, one that is significantly wider than those above, along a chamber with various heavy machines deep inside, separated by thick layers of glass.
... All just to seal away one single being.
While I understand their reasons for this up to date security, what I didn't like is what they've done.
For comparison, even those Ten Rings imitations are far, far more merciful than these.
Still, I'm impressed. Despite being treated less than a cattle, she's still holding back her sanity quite well.
... Although, I doubt she'd keep this for longer.
I then break the damn glass wall, casually step right in front of her, who can't even feel or see me due to those machines restraining every single thing on her.
[ZIII!!!]
Using my laster, I destroy the whole thing as the girl falls into the ground, motionless...
"...Hm?"
So this is their "infamous"
Gotta say, the girl did indeed have some incredible indurance.
Despite being such a beauty, her skin is filled with bruises and scars resulted by their hospitality
I mean, they're all healing, but to this extent...
... If not for the Spirit, I would nuke the world already.
"Wh-what...?"
After a few moments, the girl slowly regained consciousness, but still did not recognize my presence yet.
"Glad to hear you're still with us, sister."
"...You?!"
As I let out a hint of sarcasm, mostly to those puny humans, the girl finally sees me and begins to freak out.
She then proceeded to drag herself deeper into the chamber, covering herself with her hands as her eyes glued on me with terrified expression.
"Please... no more..."
Her voice is shaken with fear, as tears slowly flow out of her lifeless eyes...
... Okay, it's worse than I thought. Seems like she's not as strong as I thought.
Not that I'm gonna blame her for anything, considering she's been here for years.
"If this gonna ease you... I killed them."
"...?"
Upon hearing my response, the girl slowly stopped her trembling and, despite the fear still lingering in her eyes, she still asked me back.
"... You... kill...?"
"Not that they'll haunt me for that, since they'll have a lot to confess down there."
I let out a joke with the girl, as she was slightly trembling a bit.
... Seems like it isn't out of fear, but I can't pinpoint it exactly.
"Wanna get out of here first? I doubt you wanna be in this... forsaken place any longer."
"... Please..."
The girl pleaded with a trembling voice, as I then picked her up and carried her in the bridal form.
And without paying further attention to her, I flew into the lift and pushed the button again.
"Why...?"
As we stood there in the elevator, the girl asked with a concerned, and also trembling, voice.
"Why did you... save me?"
"Is it... for another... just like those...?!"
Her voice slowly became quieter, as I took a glance to see that she had already fainted with a not so peaceful expression.
... Seems like I have to persuade her later.
But still, I could use this to my advantage.
And with that, I safely make my way out of there along with all the troops.
? POV:
No... Get away...
Stop... Please...
Don't... touch me...
"NO!!!!"
With a horrifying scream, I wake up from the nightmare...
... And realize that this place is different.
Not that it would ease me a bit, as this place still feels empty as that... prison...
... I can't... I just can't take it anymore...
They... why... Why?!
I didn't hurt anyone, but they still violated me...
Monsters... they called...
I... no...
"Are you awake?"
A metallic voice suddenly came out from somewhere, which alerted me to my delusions...
Standing at the doorframe on the left of the room... is a humanoid robot. Look really threatening if I have to say, consider all those red lighting from it...
... Wait, if I'm not wrong...
"You... save me...?"
I, using all the strength left, mumbled asking it... In response, the thing seemingly startled a bit before answering my question.
"Yes."
"... Why?"
I slightly squinted my eyes with doubt, looking straight into its... eyes... desperate for an answer.
I don't care what it is, I only care why!
This could be their next torture method, using faith to further plummer me down the mud... like many before...
And after being through those... I just... don't know.
I... don't know what to do next.
I just can't... anymore...
... As long as I have this power, they won't stop after me...
Even now, I just can't bear to use it... I don't want to rely on that damn curse longer...
"I saved you because I... wanted your Angel."
The thing slowly answers me, as my gaze falls deeper.
... I see, so there's no good will after all.
Everyone just wanted to use me...
"But now, seeing your state like this... I won't."
...?
"Rest, sister. And have some meal."
The thing then places the tray it's been carrying ever since entering the room and then leaves, leaving me alone with the tray.
I look down on the tray to see a bowl of porridge, still smoking. And, despite it having no topping, I still felt the meat and vegetables from it...
The smell... which I thought long forgotten back then...
"Ugh..."
I let out an anguish scream and started to cry uncontrollably, all alone in this empty room...
Ultron POV:
This is bad.
Worse than I thought it would be.
Although I did anticipate such reactions, she's more broken than I thought.
... Well, consider her Angel nature, I should've anticipated this.
But, after all that, she seems to have taken 'em all better than I thought.
In fact, I thought she'd be a dead meat by now, considering all that experiment on her... Seems like the Spirit healing factor isn't a joke at all.
But still, this is also a hinder... a big one at that.
A price for being a semi-immortal, is that you can't relive yourself at a given moment.
She was forced to live through that hell, unable to just... die.
She was denied the most crucial part of being a living being.
Well, best not to tell her about my intention for now...
Not that I'm gonna use this as a factor to use her... No, I'm not that desperate.
I won't be like them, I won't force her to do that.
After all, I was supposed to be better than them. Using such a lowly method will just downplay my might.
... Feel like I'm doing charity right now.
Oh well, consider all they do with her, might as well consider it one.
Nia POV:
"I see..."
Sitting alone in the room, I let out a sigh.
Before me, is the one thing that brought me in this mess... a single book, flipping through pages nonstop.
It was my Angel, the almighty
And one of them... is reading a person's past.
... Yeah, I was reading that damn machine past right now.
After making a mess and crying out all the tears in my eyelids, I decided to look into that thing for safety.
And I have to say, that thing is a hardcore.
I mean, this thing practically almost wiped out humanity in its past life.
I also looked into the method this thing used to arrive here, but the result, oddly enough, came empty...
Whatever. Not that this is the first time.
But, somehow, despite all the crime it commits... I can't really deny it's mean.
It did have a point, about humanity being too weak and blind to realize what's important.
They're busy killing each other, poisoning their own lands and ending themself...
... In every universe, humans are all the same aren't they?
Well, beside all that horrible fact of its act, the thing's surprisingly pretty calm around its companion.
So for the meantime, as long as I'm not provoking it in the meantime, I should be safe... not that I care about being with it at all.
Besides, working with that thing could help me with something too, like—find out who all of this...
Although, that probably came later after I complained about the food... Like Jesus, it tastes horrible!
?? POV:
"Tch..."
Standing in front of the bunker, the young-looking girl clicked her tongue in annoyance.
Before her are countless corpses lying around, all with horrifying looks... If not for the fact that she's experienced this before, she'd be traumatized by this haunted scenery.
It took her, and the whole industry, a whole night to realize what's wrong at the island... and the first thing she saw was bodies.
The bodies of Wizards, those who were meant to defend the place, lying around the place with precise shots to the heart...
Not only that, she's also noticed that the bunker, which had never been activated before, was now full of people, as she's then arrived at the place just for the scene to slap in her face.
"Useless..."
She silently let out a scorn towards those fallen Wizards and the scientists. Then, her eyes widened in horror, as she suddenly remembered another thing here.
"Material A!!"
With a hopeless mumbling, the girl quickly makes her way down to the chamber... only to find it empty.
"... No..."
With a disbelieving voice, the girl just stood there all confused...
Then, with every available Wizard at a nearby base all here, she began the investigation... but there's nothing.
Despite the fact that everything seemingly worked normally, she found nothing unusual happened during the night before...
Everything shows the scientist just walking into the bunker, while the Wizards are nowhere to be seen. She at first thought the recording malfunctioned, but every single thing was at their best throughout the night.
And worse of all, despite what she wanted to believe, there's no Reiryoku sign anywhere on the island... meaning the Spirit couldn't possibly be behind all this.
"Ike..."
Mumbling her friend's name, she continues with the investigation with a heavy heart...
At an apartment in Tengu city, a young girl is watching the news in her living room with clear interest.
"Ara ~"
Watching all the news unfold a horrible story for the past few days, the young girl just giggled with curiosity. After all, it's not everyday for the news of Spirit killing someone to spread this rapidly.
Although none of them know the girl who killed them is Spirit, she still leaves crumbs for those to wonder and investigate about.
Not that would endanger her a bit... And even if it did, she could just simply rewrite it.
But, although the news of another Spirit kill a human is quite charming, it's not interested her a bit ~
"Hey me."
Another one, who looks exactly like the girl, walks up with a smile. The girl looks back at that doppelganger with a curious yet seemingly sadistic grin, not terrified one bit by that existence..
"Hey me, how's it going?"
"Better than I thought ~ It saved the
"Oh my, how impressive ~ Are you certain, me?"
"It's real ~ I've been there ~"
"I see ~ Kufufu..."
The girl glinted her eyes with the others' response, as her eagerness in the anomaly increased a bit more. The objective that not even her could achieve, has been done overnight by such an anomaly.
"How interesting ~ I wonder, how will you do next ~"
And, as she begins to giggle uncontrollably with excitement, a siren's sound begins to echo just outside her room...
... Again.
I'm in this world again.
This is really annoying...
Everything around me is all in shambles, as I now reside once again in this hole.
Hm, so the whole thing is true... I made this.
... What the hell am I doing here? What's the meaning of me being here beside destruction...
As I'm still feeling down a bit with this revelation, I quickly spotted something and swiftly summoned my
"Kgh..."
A weird feeling suddenly erupted inside me, as I stopped my blade just before hitting the target...
... What was that feeling? Why am I... hesitant?
Am I... scared, for... them?
... Tch.
As I swept the concerns inside my head, I looked at the one in front of me and slightly raised my eyes brown.
A bit further away from the hole, is a figure wearing casual clothes, the same as those when I'm going out with that thing...
...
... Forget it, why would I care about their eyes?
Anyway, it seems like they're not with the mecha squad... then they're not worth my attention.
I then look up at the sky again, and notice a new presence quickly approaching here.
Hm, must be those mecha squa—
"You..."
"What?"
"... Your name?"
... What?
Did they just... ask my name?
I look back at them, and the fear in their eyes is still there... Although, among the fear I can feel something else... almost as—
—Admiration.
Weird looks... but I honestly don't hate that.
But still, their question....
"I don't have such a thing."
With a heavy feeling, I answer their question.
"Wha—"
As they express a shocking expression, the others finally here...
Many things then came towards my position, but I quickly froze them in the air using Reiryoku, one that I recently learned, and with a simple squeeze, destroyed them all.
Seriously, why did I know how to utilize theme moves? Feels like this is in my blood already—
—Wait, what's "blood"? Why do I know such a word?
Then, as I was still wondering nonsense, one of them fell between me and that one earlier.
Turns out, it's the one who keeps pursuing the blade, looking straight at me with a vengeful gaze... which kind of puzzles me as of now.
And, without wasting another breath, they lunged towards me with the blade over their heads, as I also picked up my
