Ultron POV:
"Fu-kun!"
I look back to see a pouting girl, who's now enveloped in a rather revealing nun looking cloth. Must be her Astral Dress, since I didn't have time to get her some clothes yet.
"... You call me?"
"Of course, who else would I call?"
The girl pouting all angry looks straight up to me, as I slightly tilt my head signifying my confusion.
Did she just nickname me? And why Fu-kun?
... Eh, I could have just asked her later for that.
I then silently scan her body for any injury, and all the results come clean... almost.
But still, despite knowing that already, I'm still surprised with how fast their healing is.
"I thought you'd still struggle with all those injuries...?"
"I'm feeling fine now, just kinda disappointed with your porridge."
The girl—I should call her Honjou from now on, straight up dissing my effort with an oddly comedic anger face.
Was she always this energetic?
To think she could still maintain the attitude after all that, I'm impressed. Spirit is quite something...
"My apology... As you can see I have no taste bud, so I can't really see how it tastes."
"... Fair point."
Honjou rolled her eyes with my sarcastic answer, as she proceeded to stand by my side looking around.
"So, those are your Sentinels?"
Looking at the bots working around the place, Honjou asked with a curious gaze.
... So that Angel really works as intended. Not that I doubt it in the first place.
"Yes, and I assume that you already know where we are right?"
"Yep."
Honjou squinted her eyes at me with a naughty look... probably.
But still, that Angel,
... Yep, damn you Stark!
But as I was still frowning on an non-exist man over here, I suddenly got a Spacequake signal.
I then dispatched a drone toward the city, while I myself went elsewhere as Honjou looked at me with curiosity.
"Where are you going Fu-kun?"
"Meeting the princess."
"Princes...?"
As Honjou makes a confused face, I continue onward to the sealed room. After making a few turns of the unfinished corridor, I finally reached a heavily sealed door.
With a single thought, I open the whole thing which for humans would take around a year to break through. But as I stepped in the room, I heard someone else running to this location.
"Wait!!"
"Miss Honjou... ?"
Hearing the yet familiar voice, I look at the newly arrived Spirit with a puzzled look.
"Why are you following me?"
"Why not? How could I have missed all of this? This could make a fine addition to my manga!"
Manga...? Wait, did she actually still want to return with the job?
... Well, probably shouldn't press that further.
With her behind, I finally step inside the room, now revealing a different body resting inside. I then proceed to lock this body in the room and move to the other one, as I once again open my eyes in a different direction.
"Doesn't look that impressive."
"Wasn't built for show off, sister."
Honjou, watching the whole thing on the side, giving a straightforward remark as I agreed with her, as I started to flow with the newly installed anti-gravity system and open the roof, revealing a tube lead straight to the surface..
"Could you fly?"
"Of course ~"
With a sly smile, Honjou started to flow right beside me. No idea how it works, I should add it to my list after this.
And with it, we took off toward Tengu city, not really expecting anything crazy...
? POV:
What is this?!
Why did the girl appear out of the Spacequake? Origami Tobiichi wears such a suit?! And why did she fight the girl?!
As those questions are still squirming inside my head, Origami and the mysterious girl still engaged in an intense sword fight, but Origami clearly.
Somehow, I manage to keep myself grounded from the blows between them, carefully watching them fighting as I hide behind the debris in awe.
Everything happens so fast... First Origami knew me despite the fact I never saw her before, Kotori GPS location being at the diner, the mysterious girl at the center of the Spacequake, Origami wearing such a revealing suit and now this...
"Die!!!"
As I'm still deep in my thoughts, Origami is screaming like a mad man while slashing the mysterious girl with an incredible speed. Yet, despite such a feat, the mysterious girl easily dodge the attack and even kick her back in response.
Origami got blown away near my location, as our gaze met each other. And at that very moment, although her face is still expressionless, I can see that her eyes widen a bit as if surprised with my existence.
And I... shiver looking down at her eyes.
Those eyes reflected no light, and only darkness shrouded her view... as if nothing else could reach her anymore.
Yet, deep inside I can clearly see a burning hatred and hostility inside her, as nothing else matters to her anymore.
"Y-you... wha–why..."
As I stuck in the throat trying to ask about all of this, Origami quickly took back her glance and stared back at the mysterious girl while stood up once again.
"Run, Shido."
"Eh?"
Leaving behind such a warning, Origami once again lunged at the mysterious girl with tremendous force, but that girl easily blocked her attack with her broadsword.
Not stopping with that, Origami began to shoot at the mysterious girl, but the girl didn't even budge or react with the shots.
The girl then proceeds to swing a broadsword, blowing Origami away with even greater force into another debris relatively close to me.
And then, without delay, Origami continued to launch herself toward the girl just to be swatted away by the sheer swipe of the girl broadsword. But still, despite the injury, Origami didn't stop.
What the... why was she so obsessed with that girl? Why is she looking so... vengeful?
Then, as I'm distracted by their confrontation, a piece of debris suddenly shot toward me and knocked me out cold...
"Oh..."
Is the same reaction of every crew member on the
"That idiot..."
The twin tails grunting with a clear hint of annoyance, as everyone else swallows their breath in front of her rising anger meter.
Just as the plan was finally given the consent, their only factor in this is at the Spacequake site and even inches away from the ongoing battle.
In fact, the fact he's still alive despite being this close to the Spirit and the AST, on top of not being detected by those on the sky is a miracle in itself.
But now there's no time to surprise, not yet.
"Retreat him back here."
"Roger."
With that, one of the crew members used the teleportation system and "beamed" the unconscious on board, as her eyes suddenly glinted right after.
"What the—WHAT?! Commander!!"
After a few moments, the crew member widened her eyes in shock as she called out for the commander...
AST POV:
"Captain, there's an urgent calling from the base."
"They wanted us to return there..."
As the rest of the AST hovering in the air trying to get a grasp with Origami actions, all of them suddenly got their urgent recall from the base and reported back to their captain, a black pony-tail in mid-20s.
"Dismiss it! The calls are fake!"
In response, the captain quickly dismissed their call, per the agreement from their higher up with the hacking going on recently.
Due to the fact that their communications were all breached twice before, they're now not allowed to return to the base even if there's a call of such.
In addition, all of them have to stand their ground until the Spirit becomes Lost, or if their squad conditions don't allow them to remain here.
But for now, until the higher up fixing the communication line, they have to follow the agreement for now.
But still, even with the agreement, she's still a bit uneasy with how everything suddenly takes a turn for the worst. First is the hacking, then the news of the
Especially the
Not that she complains about that or anything, since it would mean her team would get more modern weapons... but still, the fact that her nation has to further elaborate with outsiders is what concerns her.
Politics, she sighs, always being so complicated...
"Captain!!"
One of her underlings calls out to her, as she then pops out of her thoughts and picks up her gears.
Immediately after, the AST spotted 2 unidentified objects approaching them from the horizon, and all of them immediately put their weapons toward them.
(One sign of Reiryoku, but there's 2...Weird.)
As the ponytail started to wonder, the 2 quickly made their way in front of the AST leaving everyone in shock.
But before she could get a clear look at the 2, one of them didn't slow down at all... in fact, it seems to accelerate even more towards... her...
"Shi—"
Without finishing her swears, the ponytail got struck by the mysterious thing and crashed on the ground, breaking the whole formation and igniting the chaos within the team.
"Captain!!"
"Heads up!!"
Some of the AST members screamed for their captain, but the remaining quickly warned them, as they began to attack the newly arrived one who was pulsing a dense amount of Reiryoku... something that only exists in a Spirit.
"What the...?! What is it doing?!"
The last one, who looks like a main character in a nun-topic hentai, now arrives at the place with a shocking expression, as all of the AST system warns them about the Reiryoku emitting from her...
"No way..."
"Another one...?!"
"Attack the Spirit!!"
After a moment of surprise, all of them quickly regain their composure and begin assaulting the newly arrived nun—
"Eekk!!!"
—As she let out a screech with their sudden hostility toward her...
"Captain" POV:
"Ugh..."
Damn it!! What the hell was that?!
What just crashed into me?!
Pushing all the rubble befall on me, I quickly gather back all my gear and stand up looking around.
Afar is Origami fighting the Spirit, and on the air, my team... are attacking someone.
Hm—Is that a new Spirit?!
What the?! Why there's a new Spirit at this tim—
—Eh?
My view... just got flipped?
No... it's just me getting blown away!! Kugh!!
"I see,
Then, I heard it. A metallic, devoid of life... And then, the thing fell into view.
A mere shadow, taking the shape of a human, standing just a few meters from me. And the creepiest part, is its red eyes seemingly locked onto me.
What... is that?
"You... What are you?"
I asked it with a shaking voice, as its eyes glinted on me. It then slowly approaches me, as I subconsciously pull the gun on it and fire—
—Only to see the thing swiftly avoid the shot.
What the...?! It dodge a bullet?!
"Come on, you'd think I'm gonna be here without preparing?"
That thing gently mocking me as it slowly waved its hand, as my body suddenly got pulled toward it.
Before I could react, something suddenly hit me in the stomach and blew me away toward the Origami.
"Kuh...!!"
Holding back the moan almost slipped out of my mouth, I quickly landed with both my feet and leer back, but it had already disappeared from my view.
"What—"
"DIE!!"
As I started to wonder where it went, Origami's vengeful voice suddenly echoed in my ears. I turned around to see Origami, body full of bruises, recklessly swinging her blade on
[Captain!! Please, issue us a retreat order!!]
"Wha—"
One of my underlying voices frantically calls through the communication lines, and I quickly take a glance back up there... just to widen my eyes in horror.
Up there, is another one... evading my underlying attack with nothing. Although that figure didn't attack them at all, it feels oddly weird yet familiar, just like—
—No...!!
I quickly use the
Another Spirit, at this time?!
"Tch, everyone retreat!!"
Immediately after yelling the command, everyone up there ceases their fire and frantically flies away from the thing... Luckily, the thing didn't follow them, as my underling quickly made their way away from the location.
"Origami!! Let's go!!"
"..."
I yelled at Origami who still tried to land a hit on
Then, to my horror,
... No... please no...
"Origami!!!!"
"You."
As I unconsciously let out a distress scream,
"You're annoying... DIE!!!"
... Damn it!!
Taking a quick glance at Origami place one last time, I fly away from the place just before those balls hit me...
Please, be safe...
Tch, finally.
After all of that, they finally left me alone.
For those weakling humans, they're ridiculously stubborn. I'll give them that.
But, although they finally leave me here, there's still one more thing to finish-off.
"You there."
"Heh?"
I point my
Although she did save me from those mecha squad, there's one thing I wanted to disclose more.
"Who are you?"
"Eto..."
"She's just like you, my dear princess."
A familiar voice suddenly struck my ear, and I immediately looked in the direction.
And there it is, standing above the rubbles, is that damn thing in its gray-ish form again.
Seeing it again after all thise... makes me feel disturbed.
Not in a bad way, but still conflicted nonetheless...
"YOU!!!"
With a distraught scream, the other girl made her way in front of it in less than a blink, which even took me a second to realize she'd moved.
What the?! How did she—?!
"Why did you leave me there with them without any words?! Do you have any idea how hard it is to hold back against them?!"
"... My apology."
The girl then started to complain about it in a rather childish manner, as it was just standing there looking with its usual cold look while apologizing to her...
And the first thing that comes to my mind, seeing her up close like this, isn't quite impressive at all.
In fact, she looks more seductive than powerful, despite feeling the same power as I do...
"... Weird."
I subconsciously slip out my thoughts, as the duo just keep arguing with each other.
"Next time, please, please tell me beforehand Fu-kun!! Don't ever let me be alone with those anymore...!! "
"I will, next time I won't be careless..."
And with that, they finally settled their business... one that I couldn't quite follow. Seriously though, what's wrong with them al—Wait?
"Fu-kun...?"
"That's her nickname for me, no idea how."
The thing raises its hand with my mumbling as if I just asked it, as I look back at it with a shocking expression.
"Nickname...?"
"It's like a name for those close to you, as far as I know. And for the record, I did try to tell you my name, until you just Lost'ed in the middle of daylight."
"Lost?"
"Human terms for you disappear from this world."
"Oh..."
So humans have their own term for that huh... somehow I felt that just... right.
But still, I have to ask about something.
"So... about the date—"
"Ugh..."
A faint grunting suddenly interrupted my question, as our gaze quickly shifted to the rubbles afar. Then, from that same rubbles, a single figure rose full of blood.
... Okay, really thought, why did I know such words? I didn't even know it the last time I'm here?!
"You Spirit—"
With a vengeful voice, she's then locking the gaze on me while also begins to slowly walk toward my place, despite the blood flowing from her...
Hm, how annoying—
"... I know you."
"What—?"
The girl's vengeful face became that of a surprise, as her gaze shifted to that thing's side... but then she got knocked out cold by its punch in the guts and fell down on its arm.
It then lifts her unconscious face and looks really, really closely to her face, as if to devour her in its entirety.
"This is... interesting."
The thing mumbling with its usual emotionless voice, as I suddenly feel a bit oddly uneasy with its words.
"What's up, Fu-kun?"
"Nothing... it just seems familiar, feels like I've seen her somewhere."
"Really?"
"I'm certain of it."
The other girl quickly approached it with a curious look, as they began to fall into their own world, leaving me puzzled alone...
What the—why are they even here? For that girl?
... Feels like they just forget me altogether...
Hm!!!
But, once again, my view suddenly shrouded in darkness and my thoughts stopped right there...
No—
"Yeah... this is problematic."
Edging on the commanding seat, the twin tails squinted her eyes with conflictions as she disappeared into nothingness once again.
And although the chart shows that the
But even more horrible than that, is the fact that the anomaly's now walking side-by-side with a Spirit, one that hasn't been seen for the past 5 years...
To add onto their horror, the chart of
So now not only they have to deal with the
"Tch... I hope he can solve all of this problem..."
Let out a sigh full of burden, she looked back at the door as it slid open, revealing her trusty Head Analysis along with a certain blue-hair who she knew much more than anyone else on board.
Finally, after years of waiting, she could finally do something for those Spirits... and time for the dates to begin...
