Silence fell over the room.
"You personally guaranteed our supplier contract?" James, my company's legal counsel, said. "That's a significant financial commitment."
"It is." Asher agreed. "But I believe in what Rysa is building. And I wanted to make sure she had the best options."
"That's incredibly generous." One of my employees said. "But James is right, if you're personally guaranteeing our contracts, that does create a financial stake in our company."
"Which means we should probably formalize the relationship." James added. "For legal protection if nothing else."
This was it.
"Perhaps we should discuss this separately." I said. "This is a big decision…"
"I agree it's big." James said. "But it's also simple. Mr. Wang has proven his value today, and he's now financially tied to our success. Bringing him on as a strategic advisor with input on major business decisions seems accurate."
"We should put it to a vote." Another employee suggested.
