Chapter 171 - [DEM] 171: Stage

Magia Erebea was a spell Evangeline crafted in her weaker days.

By resonating with natural elements and synchronizing her magical energy, she could trigger a controlled explosion of those elements, empowering a frail mage's body with strength akin to an enchanted weapon.

However, the development of Magia Erebea evolved slowly through Evangeline's own efforts.

With her immortal vampire body, she tirelessly experimented with new forms of magic.

Mastering Magia Erebea was no small feat. A single misstep could cause the body to rupture from within.

After all, the human frame wasn't built to withstand the resonance of natural elements.

Even Evangeline, a True Ancestor, endured immense hardship to perfect this spell.

Countless injuries, near-death experiences—all in the name of creating Magia Erebea.

All of it, just to survive.

Back then, humans relentlessly hunted True Ancestor vampires, nearly driving Evangeline to the brink of extinction.

Fortunately, she succeeded.

The creation of Magia Erebea skyrocketed her power.

From then on, she became the feared Dark Evangel.

Now, she had passed this magic on to her apprentice, Negi.

Negi had successfully mastered Magia Erebea. When he fused lightning into his body, a dRaamatic transformation took hold.

His form crackled with powerful electricity, glowing with a pale cyan light, his hair lengthening in the process.

It gave off a vibe reminiscent of a Super Saiyan.

But this was no Saiyan transformation—it was Magia Erebea.

Magical Armament: Thunderous Might.

Whoosh.

In the next instant, Negi vanished from sight—not through a martial technique like Instant Movement, but sheer speed.

By integrating lightning into his body and activating his Magical Armament, Negi gained velocity rivaling true lightning.

His attack power was equally formidable.

Gojo Satoru barely had time to react before Negi closed the distance.

A childlike fist, charged with thunder, slammed into Gojo's abdomen, sending him hurtling backward.

With a boom, he crashed into the stands' wall.

Itadori Yuji, Fushiguro Megumi, and the others were dumbfounded.

Who could've imagined the self-proclaimed strongest, Gojo Satoru, being sent flying by an elementary schooler?

What the…?

"Ow, ow, ow! Are kids these days this strong?" Gojo groaned, climbing to his feet and brushing off the dust, acting as if the blow hadn't fazed him.

But at that moment, Negi reappeared at his side.

This time, Gojo was ready. Raising two fingers, he murmured softly, "Stop."

Instantly, an invisible ripple emanated from Gojo, spreading in all directions.

Cursed Technique: Infinity.

A neutral application of his Limitless technique, lacking offensive power.

Yet, the closer an object got to Gojo, the slower it moved, as if frozen in place.

In this state, no attack could touch him—only a Domain Expansion could neutralize the effect.

Moreover, when Infinity was active, it automatically assessed an approaching object's cursed energy, mass, and speed, determining its threat level and either halting or repelling it accordingly.

It was an exceptionally versatile technique.

Even Negi's lightning speed was brought to a standstill.

Realizing this, Negi shifted tactics.

Technique Release: Complete Thunder Transformation.

In an instant, his body became pure lightning, not unlike Enel with the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.

He swiftly retreated, channeling all his power into a single point.

Thousand Crag-Shattering Thunder!

In his Magical Armament: Thunderous Might state, Negi unleashed the Thousand Thunder spell, combining it with a full-body charge. The attack roared like a thunderstorm, moved with the speed of a lightning bolt, and merged force and velocity into devastating destruction. A single vertical strike could pulverize the ground.

Gojo recognized the danger of this move. To avoid being taken out in one hit, he instinctively deployed his trump card.

Technique Reversal: Red!

A surge of invisible repulsive force erupted, colliding with Negi's assault.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion shook the arena as the ground shattered, the entire stage reduced to rubble in an instant.

An invisible shockwave swept outward at terrifying speed.

Like a tidal wave or a breached dam, it carried destructive force, threatening to wipe out everyone in the stands.

But at that moment, a transparent barrier materialized around the arena, encasing it completely.

It held back the apocalyptic shockwave.

As the roar and dust settled, the arena lay in ruins.

Gojo stood on a patch of unscathed ground, his clothes slightly disheveled.

Negi, meanwhile, had collapsed, unconscious.

He was still too young—far from a match for Gojo Satoru.

Seeing this, Evangeline finally stood, leaping into the arena and tossing the unconscious Negi back to the stands.

Gojo's casual demeanor turned serious. "So, you're finally stepping up, Dark Evangel Evangeline."

Evangeline replied nonchalantly, "Thanks for taking care of my apprentice, Six Eyes."

The term "Six Eyes" didn't mean Gojo literally had six eyes.

Rather, it referred to the unique mystic eyes of the Gojo clan, a rare trait passed down through generations, appearing once every few centuries.

These eyes granted 360-degree long-range vision, seeing even behind the user or at great distances.

Obstructions didn't hinder their sight.

They could identify whether someone was a sorcerer, discern their techniques, and even track cursed energy trajectories for precise predictions, enabling intricate control over cursed energy.

While not as potent as the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, they were still remarkable.

Gojo didn't mind the nickname "Six Eyes." After all, Evangeline was old enough to be his ancestor several times over. When she was dominating the world, the Gojo clan might not even have existed.

Being called "Six Eyes" was perfectly reasonable.

He pulled off his blindfold, revealing a pair of striking eyes, and fixed them on Evangeline.

Those were the Six Eyes.

But as his gaze met hers, his body involuntarily stiffened.

By the time he realized what was happening, half his body had turned to stone.

"?!"
