Hearing me, Viktor pulled me back behind him, his eyes darting around everywhere like he was scanning the area.
"I don't feel anyone's presence here right now," Viktor said.
My eyes widened at his words. What does he mean he can't feel anyone's presence? Someone's eyes were definitely there. Even if it wasn't human, it must have been an animal.
But Viktor is saying there's no one… then don't tell me—it's a ghost. Is this villa… or maybe this whole island haunted?
I grabbed Viktor's hand.
"Viktor, I think we should go back right now. We can't stay here in a haunted place."
After hearing me, Viktor looked at me seriously, like he understood how dangerous the situation could be—but then he suddenly burst into laughter.
"Hahaha! Hamster, were you scared? I'm sorry, it was a prank. I thought I should do something funny. I didn't think I'd be able to make you this scared," he replied.
