Eden's Pov
I get up immediately, my movements sharp and frantic. I grab my purse from the couch and start slipping on my shoes while Gage springs to his feet, watching me with a scared, confused expression.
"Is everything okay, Miss Eden?" he asks, his voice trembling.
"Yes... everything is fine," I lie, my voice tight. "Just stay here with Enzo. I will be right back."
Lotus is up immediately, trotting to the door, her ears perked with concern. I really wish she would not come with me, but there is no time to argue. A wave of nausea hits me as my lips begin to tremble. I did this. I am the one who pushed Eliza to this point. She would not usually do something so monstrous, so calculated and cruel. I turned my own sister into this.
