The warehouse suddenly turned silent as the rain continued hammering down on the metal roof above.
Meanwhile, the remaining three lackeys froze in shock as they witnessed the collapsed state their fellow colleagues were in.
It was strange to admit it but they couldn't deny the raw strength the human in front of them possessed.
However, backing down was not an option and so they tightened their grips on their weapons before charging forward with their weapons raised above their heads.
The first attacker swiped his arm but Jake evaded his attack before slamming the rod with one hand against the attacker's stomach, forcing him to drop to his knees but to his surprise, Jake launched a second attack on the attacker's head and that was enough to knock him out.
Meanwhile, the last two cyclopes approached Jake from behind and they both aimed their baseball bat at the same time, hoping to catch him off guard while he was still preoccupied with the first attacker.
But Jake had noticed what they were doing, so he swiftly grabbed a loose crate with one hand and hurled it toward the last two attackers.
The wooden box crashed into their faces and shattered into pieces but Jake leaped through the dust and slammed both rods onto their heads, forcing both cyclopes to collapse on the floor.
Seeing this, the remaining cyclopes stepped back in fear.
If Jake could easily handle six cyclopes on his own, who's to say he couldn't do the same to the rest of them and this made them hesitant to make the first move.
However, the two captains remained unfazed.
To them, Jake was nothing more than a puny human and as such, they were ready to put him back in his place.
Both cyclopes were tall and broader than the rest, and even under the dim light, Jake could see that both cyclopes shared the same jawlines and hairstyles.
In other words, they were both brothers, twins to be exact.
The older brother clenched his fist and the metal brass knuckles on his hands slowly glowed with a faint blue color as he flowed a little bit of mana into the brass knuckles.
He had a cigarette burning between his teeth and a puff of smoke sips out of the edge of his lips while the younger brother tightened his grip on his short iron staff that had a weak electrical spark crackling at the top of the staff.
Both brothers glared at Jake but neither of them said anything because to be honest, they still found it strange to see how he had single-handedly defeated six cyclopes on his own.
"Hey brother." The younger brother muttered and the older brother turned his attention to him.
"What is it?"
"Let me handle this one. This guy seems to be on a death wish so let me honor his wish by breaking every bone in his body until he begs me to kill him."
Hearing this, the older brother smirked and nodded his head. "Very well, but be careful. He looks strong."
The younger brother frowned and furrowed his brows before charging forward.
Since the two captains were naturally bigger than the other cyclops, the floor shook as the younger brother surged forward with terrifying pace.
He swung his iron staff down like a hammer and when it hit the ground, large electrical sparks spreads out like a spiderweb as it aims straight for Jake
But he dodges it narrowly and launched a counter attack with a quick thrust that stabs straight at the captains' flank but the cyclops twisted his body and slammed his elbow into Jake's face, forcing Jake to stagger back while tasting his own blood on his lips.
Seeing that he got a direct hit on Jake, the captain laughed when he noticed the stain of blood on Jake's lips as he wipes the blood away with the back of his hand
But Jake's glare became even more intense and he activated his new skill, causing his shadow underneath his feet to spread out into a small spherical shape that allowed Jake to leap into his own shadow.
Seeing this, the cyclops captain froze in confusion, wondering where Jake had disappeared to, but unbeknownst to him, Jake suddenly leaped out of the captains' shadow, allowing him to appear behind the captain and the cyclops captain screamed out in pain as Jake's rod pierced through his shoulder and came out of his chest.
But before he could recover from the shock and sneak attack, Jake swiftly twisted the rod and kicked the dying cyclops forward and into the path of his older brother.
Everything had happened so fast, so no one could have expected Jake to reappear behind the captains' shadow before killing him.
The older captain caught his younger brother's collapsing body and his eyes widened in confusion before squinting in rage.
"You bastard!!" He roared and mana surged from his body as it circled around his brass knuckles even more.
His first punch tore through the air with enough force to cause a huge dent in the metal wall behind Jake when he dodged the attack but then the captain launched a second attack which grazed Jake's cheeks.
The battle continued but Jake was unable to match the Captain's raw strength so he focused on dodging and weaving between his punches until the Captain's fist finally slammed into Jake's ribs and his body skid across the floor before colliding against the wall.
Jake groaned and coughed hard as he hit a pile of crates behind him.
An intense feeling of pain flared through his chest but Jake had no choice but to bare with the pain then he looked up and noticed the captain walking toward him.
Jake instantly activated his {Shadow Leap} skill and his body got enveloped by the shadow on the floor.
Seeing this, the cyclops' captain turned around.
From what he had noticed, Jake was able to kill his brother because he appeared from behind from his brother's blindspot, and this means that Jake specializes in sneak attacks, so he was prepared for Jake to leap out of his shadow and once he does, the captain was prepared to crush his skull until he becomes completely unrecognizable.
But to the Captain's surprise, Jake didn't leap out of his shadow, instead the sharp edge of the metal rod pierced through the Captain's feet, causing him to scream in pain and this was enough to catch him by surprise because Jake immediately followed that up by driving his second rod through the captain's chest, right where the heart was.
Then he yanked the first rod out of the captains' feet before stabbing it through his neck.
The Captain's body jerked violently then he fell to his knees with his eyes wide open as his blood poured from his wounds before finally collapsing forward.
Jake stood over both brothers' corpses as his chest rises and falls heavily.
The smell of blood filled the air and his arms trembled and shook from exhaustion but Jake tightened his grip to remind himself that there was still lots to be done.
Currently, the remaining cyclopes stood behind him, watching as how he had just killed two of their captains.
Many were scared and so they hesitated in making a move but Jake had no interest in them.
He sighed deeply but then the sound of someone clapping echoed loudly in the room.
The clap was slow and heavy as it echoed from the dark end of the warehouse causing Jake to turn his head toward the sound and his eyes widened in surprise when his gaze fell on a tall figure stepping out of the shadows.
The tall cyclops had a cybernetic red eye glowing faintly in the dark while his metal arm whirred softly as he flexed it
"Impressive." Bruno said with a calm smile as he stopped clapping. "Not many people can kill two of my captains so easily like that. Now would you do me the honors of telling me who the fuck you are and why you had barged into my den uninvited."
