It was the morning after that Shinji awoke from his encounter with the devils and he was setting up shop as someone came through the door. It was a man with brown spiky hair and he was wearing the same uniform as the devils who encroached upon his restaraunt last night.
"Hello, what would you like?" asked Shinji as he motioned Sakura to take to a chair, though the stares he was giving her put Shinji in a little mood, and Sakura downright stared at him like a worm crawling through the dirt. "Sakura, customer face" he chided as she schooled her expression, but there was a promise of violence and one touch would send the man flying to the imaginary number space.
"Uh, some oppai" he muttered, drooling at Sakura's chest and a tick mark formed on both their heads. "Some food perhaps?" asked Sakura in an icy tone, setting down a cup of tea at his table. "Oh sorry, can I have fish?" he asked after apologizing, getting the feeling he should keep quiet about the desires burdening within him.
"You seem tired my friend, what's wrong my friend?" asked Shinji as he prepared the fish, Ningyō of course, and decided that some special beans might fix him up. Shinji conjured a couple senzu beans and threw them in as a side dish for the ningyō.
"Here you go friend, some fish and rice, and some bean soup" said Shinji as he played the food in front of the customer who finally got around to introducing himself as Issei Hyoudou. "Itadakimasu" he said as he began eating and it seemed the beans did the trick.
"Man what did you put in this?" asked Issei in astonishment. Shinji smiled and he was analyzing him, sensing the same energy as the occult research club and there was something else, something draconic. "Some magic beans" said Shinji with a smile as he tossed him a jar full. "Take some with you, and give this note to Rias if you have a chance" asked Shinji as Issei looked confused.
"Shes a good customer" said Shinji as Issei nodded and finished his food and left. The shop was silent as Sakura went forward and dropped a few strands of hair in Shinjis hand. "Thank you Sakura" Shinji smiled as he ruffled her hair with affection, and she seemed somewhat content with the arrangement.
Shinji of course began cleaning again, alleviating boredom and Sakura was being taught some more magecraft. Sakura was talented at it in a sense, and Shinji first taught her water magecraft but seeing as her affinity was imaginary numbers he began more phantasmal spells, though the knowledge was sparse and he hope the exchange would allow him to bridge the gap in his knowledge.
"Tea?" asked Shinji as Sakura nodded, and Shinji quickly brewed a cup of literal divine tea. Shennong thank you so much for your tea leaves. He also gave her some sweet desert to eat, as Sakura had a sweet tooth for his sweets which he didn't mind indulging due to his abilities making the cost zero in money.
Then the restaraunt door opened up and who came in made their hair stand on end, at least a bit. White hair, pale skin, red eyes, and a western suit of black and gold. He had a small cane in his left hand yet they knew he did not need it. He had a smile on his face, and if any historied mage knew anything about the man, it meant his smile was a dangerous signal, or it could be peace.
Solo, kaleidescope, the father of jewel magecraft, he who led a battle against the crimson moon, Magician of the second magic, Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg.
"Is it too late to go?" asked Shinji as Zelretch continued to smile and Shinji knew his magecraft could do something, but he didn't really wanna chance the man who could go toe to toe with Brunestud of the crimson moon and live to tell the tale. In the wise words of all mage families, 'If you meet him, you already lost'.
"Some tea sir" said Sakura stiffly, the weight of the mans presence was palpable in the air. "This tea smells and feels familiar" said Zelretch as he took a sip of tea. "Divinity laced tea leaves, eastern" he said casually as he recalled the familiar feel of the age of gods and the ether that constituted their existence.
"Yes sir, it comes from the garden of Shennong" said Shinji, feeling that keeping secrets would only make his presence more constant, it will be either way. "The divine farmer of China? You have some rare things my friend" said Zelretch. "So, what may I get you?" Shinji asked him as Zelretch cocked his head to the side and said, "I would love some middle-eastern food, I missed having some with Solomon" said Zelretch.
Ignoring the fact that Zelretch casually mention the King of Magecraft in familiarity, Shinji began cooking. "Is it okay if its modern?" asked Shinji as Zelretch nodded and Shinji got to work making some chicken shwarma. He figured it was a safe food to make, seeing as it was mainly just thinly sliced chicken.
He cut some chicken thigh very thinly and seasoned them liberally, making sure there was flavor in each cooking slice. He got some wraps infused with garlic and when the chicken was done, he began to fill it up and wrap it up as he served it to only one of the most powerful mage to exist.
Zelretch took the shawarma and took a bite, and he savored it as the flavors coated his tongue and he smiled. "This is good" he complimented, and Shinji and Sakura felt like they escaped with their lives in tack, "Of course, Im glad you like it" said Shinji. It was in that couple of minutes of silence that the door opened back up and Shinji and Sakura and Zelretch were overwhelmed by the demonic power they emitted, even if in supressed form.
