Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Iron Man's Show?

"Haha!"

The audience erupted in laughter at Levi Wei's sarcastic remark.

Tony Stark's expression soured, but he confidently strode forward after Levi's invitation.

"You're right, since you asked me up here, I'm here!"

His demeanor was self-assured, bordering on arrogance.

At this stage, Tony Stark was incredibly conceited, believing his intelligence could solve any problem. He had little respect for authority and was a consummate playboy.

Levi thought him a scoundrel.

He had hoped for a meaningful conversation with Tony Stark, but that was impossible.

Tony's emotional intelligence was appallingly low!

Dealing with him required someone with even lower emotional intelligence.

"Where's the spotlight? What's going on?"

For instance, now, Tony Stark complained openly, annoyed at not being given a 'protagonist spotlight.'

As the lights refocused, he swaggered onto the stage.

Levi gestured to Dr. Otto, signaling him not to come up.

Levi's face beamed with excitement, sensing the buzz and anticipating a surge in his reputation.

With Tony Stark, there was guaranteed interest!

Levi's warm demeanor contrasted starkly with Tony's arrogance, making Levi seem more approachable.

People will always make comparisons.

"Can you see more clearly here?" Levi asked.

Tony Stark, lacking emotional intelligence, didn't hold back.

"Yes, this way I can expose your deception."

Levi wasn't concerned; he simply wanted Tony Stark's spotlight.

He handed his tablet to Tony and said, "If you think it's fake, announce it yourself. You can also check the research steps to verify authenticity, right?"

The reporters below buzzed with excitement.

A live webcast was underway, but given the internet speed of the time… those who knew, knew.

The U.S. had notoriously slow internet.

Why didn't people use phones on the subway?

The answer was simple: there was no internet, not because of etiquette.

Levi didn't expect much online traction.

But he underestimated their combined influence.

At this moment, online interest surged.

"Mr. Levi Wei, aren't you afraid Mr. Stark will plagiarize your technology?" a reporter bluntly asked.

Tony Stark was instantly irritated: "Are you implying I'd plagiarize someone who hasn't even attended college?"

"I graduated from MIT! What about him?"

Hearing Tony's words, Levi chuckled: "I graduated from Garridon."

The room erupted in laughter, further annoying Tony.

He snatched Levi's tablet and read: "The product for this press conference is…"

Seeing this, Tony Stark's face was full of disdain: "Brain-Machine Interface?"

"This is theoretically possible, but not feasible now, with significant risks!"

He intended to mock further, but his scientific instincts piqued his interest, prompting him to read on.

His expression changed instantly.

The reporters noticed and snapped photos frantically.

"Mr. Stark, what's wrong?"

"This…"

Tony Stark began to sweat; a quick review revealed the concept was viable…

Not just viable, but highly probable.

The data was remarkably complete, almost like a finished product!

"Where did you get the data?" Tony Stark asked, incredulous.

If it was such a finished product, wouldn't they just produce it? What was left to research?!

Levi laughed: "You heard right, it's a Brain-Machine Interface."

"With it, those with prosthetic limbs will function like normal people, or even better!"

Levi was seasoned in press conferences, speaking effortlessly.

Numerous data points flowed from him with ease.

"To research the Brain-Machine Interface, our lab conducted over a billion simulations, created tens of billions of models, controlling experimental error within 0.01%…"

Stating vast data numbers conveyed grandeur and sincerity.

Whether there was truly that much?

Tony Stark's expression said it all.

He stood by, skeptical, with a look that said 'you're fooling everyone.'

But it worked; reporters were captivated, a chorus of "wow"s echoing.

"The Brain-Machine Interface marks a huge leap for humanity, enhancing physical capabilities, and optimizing future network operations for seamless integration."

"…"

Levi continued, as the screen displayed the Brain-Machine Interface, complete with experimental diagrams.

For example, under its control, humans could freely operate cars, planes, and more.

These were AI-generated videos created by Red Queen.

Quickly, news of the Brain-Machine Interface spread online.

After Levi finished, Tony Stark said, "This is just a slideshow. As I said, you only know how to make slideshows. Do you have a prototype?"

Seeing Tony's skepticism, Levi laughed: "Of course, I've been saying all along that Future Technology is researching artificial intelligence."

"Well, that's good; I've researched artificial intelligence too."

Tony Stark took over: "Jarvis."

"Master!"

Jarvis's voice resonated, and the reporters gasped.

Its magnetic tone clearly controlled the venue, adjusting lights at Tony's command, turning it into a KTV-like setting.

Yet Levi maintained a smile.

He seemed particularly pleased with the scene.

"Is this your artificial intelligence, Mr. Stark?"

Levi handed over the microphone.

"Of course."

Tony Stark said proudly, "This is Jarvis, my AI butler. He's highly intelligent, with self-learning and independent thinking capabilities, plus powerful computing and analysis functions."

The press conference had become Tony Stark's show.

Although Tony hadn't planned to reveal Jarvis, it didn't matter now.

Jarvis played along, making humorous remarks.

When Tony Stark finished, Levi applauded beside him.

This irritated Tony, so he spread his arms: "Where is your artificial intelligence?"

"She has already defeated Jarvis."

Levi smiled: "Red Queen."

"Master, I am here."

With a flash of red light, Red Queen, glowing red, appeared on stage.

"Wow!"

The reporters gasped.

Clearly, she was not a mere mortal.
