Chapter 43 - she's...noticing

The company had hit a quarterly milestone, so HR arranged a small team outing: nothing extravagant, just a relaxed dinner at a riverside restaurant. Casual clothes, soft lighting, open air, the kind of place where people's guards accidentally lower. Mina arrived with Annie and Junho, chattering and laughing the whole walk there.

Isaac, of course, came alone.

When he walked in, people straightened instinctively…then awkwardly tried to look casual again. It wasn't working. Mina waved before she could stop herself.

"Sir! Over here!"

Isaac paused. Blinked.

Then walked toward their table.

Emily, HR managers, a few senior staff, everyone shuffled to make space for him. But somehow, by the time he sat down..…he ended up right beside Mina.

Junho smirked behind his glass. Annie kicked him under the table. Mina stiffened like a startled cat. "S-sir, um! I didn't, We didn't think... This wasn't on purpose..."

Isaac adjusted his sleeves. "Relax, Miss Kang. It's a seat, not a promotion."
