Kaito sat on his bed, sighing.
Okay, okay, how the hell am I going to change the tragic end of the Uzumaki? Kaito's mind was spinning.
Maybe I could make connections with important people in the village... like Kushina... this would take me to the upper echelons of the Uzumaki. Kaito thought, with a slight headache.
This idea seemed appealing to him, although with some chance of failure, but the most viable.
"Yes, I'll do that," Kaito decided.
Kaito got out of bed, stepping on the floor with his bare feet, the wild waves of his mind relaxing slightly.
His feet fit into his blue ninja sandals, and with his hand he opened the door to his room.
Matron Suika was guiding some children, teaching them some household skills like washing and cooking for when they grew up.
Kaito simply greeted the scene with an indifferent look. He'd seen this for several days; it had become a habit.
Kaito made a familiar gesture to the matron. Suika sighed slightly and then nodded in agreement.
Kaito left the orphanage. He was going to explore the streets of Uzushiogakure a bit, perhaps out of boredom, or perhaps luck would smile on him today.
"Hey, do you want to play for a while?"
Sure, why not?
Kids! It's time for breakfast!
Multiple voices echoed in Kaito's ears, and he was indifferent to this.
Shit... I forgot to bring ryō to buy some ramen. Kaito reminded himself, letting out a resigned sigh.
Kaito's mood dropped again as he remembered the exquisite and tender taste of the ramen, his brows furrowed.
If only I hadn't been so immersed in those thoughts, maybe I wouldn't have forgotten.
Kaito thought, as he continued walking.
"Hey, be respectful and say hello!"
Of course! I'm not retarded!
Our future patriarch is coming!
Future patriarch? But the only future patriarch was... Uzumaki Kushina! Is that her!?
"Luck is on my side today?" Kaito felt a surge of excitement. It seemed his luck was legendary.
Just as he was about to step forward to begin his mission,
An adult spoke to him, interrupting his reverie in an instant.
"Kid! Show respect to Kushina-sama," the adult frowned, disgusted.
This guy... Kaito mentally complained.
Kaito only bowed politely when he saw Kushina.
Kushina passed through the streets, escorted by two older Uzumakis. Her posture was just as she'd expected, her eyes shining with confidence. Her red hair was radiant and long, falling past her shoulders.
Oh, she looks just like the one in the anime.
Kaito thought, looking at Kushina with a thoughtful expression.
Should I get closer...? Nah, those guards would bother me all the time, and I'm not exactly strong.
The expressions of the villagers who bowed and surrounded Kushina varied as they saw her: Some looked at her with awe, others with respect and obedience, and still others with happiness and jubilation.
"It's Kushina-sama!"
Yes! It's the first time I've seen her! She has the grace of a future patriarch!
I agree! She has the confidence!
Kaito's face fell, his face darkening slightly. How could I have had such thoughts? It's impossible with these adoring villagers, he thought, disappointment etched on his face.
Well, maybe I can have another chance.
Kaito retreated, as any normal person would think, but he secretly followed Kushina from a very long distance. His senses allowed him to do this; his senses were very sharp for some reason.
Forget it, today is my lucky day and I won't waste it.
The little bloodthirsty Havana, Uzumaki Kushina, continued walking unperturbed, unaware that a transmigrated creature was stealthily and cautiously following her, plotting plans for the future.
If she had known, she would have been extremely shocked. I mean, everything she knew was only fiction on Earth, where Kaito came from. Any reasonable person would go crazy and try to deny this information.
Fortunately, she was not a reasonable person.
One of the Uzumaki sensors protecting Kushina detected an extremely strange chakra. It was Uzumaki, yes, but it seemed mutated, fused with an anomaly.
The Uzumaki Guard turned around, only to see a leaf falling and everything normal, with no disturbance in sight.
Then, a voice was heard behind him.
"Hello, Kushina-sama, I just wanted to meet you. Let me introduce myself. I'm Kaito Uzumaki. I'd like to be your friend."
What a crappy introduction... I'm terrible at this. I wasn't even that bad at school in my previous life... I was also too direct. I'm a tremendous social idiot.... Kaito thought, resigned to being rejected.
Uzumaki Kushina's purple eyes flickered with curiosity, just as he was about to speak—
"Get out of here, brat! The future patriarch won't speak to a commoner like you!" one of the guards spoke rudely, his heightened senses picking up something odd in Kaito's tone.
"Hey! Don't talk to him like that! I just met him!" Kushina scolded the guard.
"U-Understood, Kushina-sama," the guard's image crumbled at the rebuke of his future patriarch.
"Nice to meet you! My name is Kushina Uzumaki! And I will be the best female ninja, Dattebane!!" Kushina spoke with a lively and excited attitude, as if she were declaring that she had the power to perform Cid Kagenou's "I Am Atomic."
Luckily, she is also socially awkward and needs a friend, as she has none due to her position as the daughter of the clan's patriarch. The children have so much respect or fear for her that they don't approach her. Kaito thought.
"Oh... I understand, Kushina-sama," Kaito was stunned. Not even he, a dual-soul transmigrator, expected this. He should have predicted it. Kushina's attitude was very lively, talkative, and temperamental in the anime.
"Don't call me 'Kushina-sama,' I don't like being called that, just Kushina, okay?"
"Kushina-sama, we should go. Her father is surely waiting for her..."
"Shut up! I'm making my first friend, don't interrupt!" Kushina spoke with a reproachful and angry tone.
Kaito just chuckled to himself, an amused gleam in his wild yellow eyes.
"Okay, Kushina, friends, right?" Kaito spoke, extending his hand.
"Friends, and I hope you're fun! Not like the boring villagers, huh?" Kushina said, her tsundere attitude obvious in her voice.
"Understood, Kushina," Kaito said, laughing a little.
"What are you laughing at!?"
End of chapter.

Please give me Power Stones and I'll put more effort into this story.
