Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Peach Garden Memories and the Media Storm

The next two days, An Luo Wei lived like a sleepwalker.

She barely left the 108th floor. She ate, slept (on her desk), and breathed in the Tinh Nguyet project. Luc Bac Than also did not force her to eat "afternoon tea" or "extra breakfast", he just silently ordered Assistant Truong to put the most nutritious meals on her desk.

He observed her.

He saw her crumpling up dozens of sketches. She drew the moon, the stars, the clouds... but she crossed them all out. They were "high-class", but they were "soulless".

The second night, An Luo Wei was so tired that she fell asleep on the table.

And she dreamed again.

This time, the dream was clearer. She saw herself standing under a giant ancient peach tree, peach blossoms flying all over the sky. In the sky, there was not the sun, but a silver crescent moon. There was a man standing with his back to her, wearing a black robe embroidered with silver thread, exactly like Luc Bac Than. He turned his hand up, and a peach blossom petal landed, but when looking closely, that petal was not pink, but... glowing. It was a "star".

"Vi Vi, this is Tinh Hoa Lo. I used the starlight and the morning dew of Vong Xuyen to incubate it, just for you."

A warm, gentle voice rang out.

Awaken!

An Luo Wei woke up, her heart pounding. Four o'clock in the morning. The office was still dark, with only the light from her desk and Lu Beichen's (he hadn't returned yet) coming from it.

"Tinh Hoa Lo... Sao... Moon..."

A strong inspiration struck her. She didn't have to draw "stars" and "moons" separately. She had to draw their fusion!

She picked up the pen, her hand moving as if possessed.

Eight o'clock the next morning.

Lu Beichen walked out of the private lounge, already changed into a new suit, her aura refreshing. He glanced at An Luo Wei who was still wearing yesterday's clothes, her hair messy, but her eyes were bright.

"I... I'm done." Her voice was hoarse.

"Bring it here." He sat down, sipping black coffee.

An Luo Wei took a breath, placing her only sketch on the table.

Lu Beichen glanced at it.

His pupils contracted.

On the paper, it wasn't the usual moon and star logo.

It was a crescent moon (Nguyet), but that moon wasn't empty. It was embracing and protecting a falling peach blossom. And that peach blossom (Tinh) was made up of countless tiny points of light, like a constellation.

Below were four handwritten words in calligraphy: "Tinh Nguyet – Vinh Hang".

"What's your idea?" Luc Bac Than's voice dropped, hiding his shock.

"It's 'Forgotten Memories'." An Luo Wei said, her eyes sparkling with passion. "Stars are not stars in the sky. Stars are 'essence', the most beautiful 'memories'. Moon is not just the moon. Moon is 'time', is 'eternity'. This logo symbolizes the most beautiful memory, even if forgotten, it is still embraced and protected by time."

She looked straight at him: "Like you said. It's right before our eyes, but also far away on the horizon. A memory that we have forgotten, but it is always there."

Lu Bei Shen's inner thoughts: Wei Wei... You... Did you really remember?

This is not a sketch. This is the truth. This is the image of the Northern God Emperor he used his immortal power to create to seal the Peach Garden of Memories of the two of them, right before she jumped down from the Tru Tien Dai.

Lu Bei Shen clenched his fist. He had been waiting for this talent of hers. He knew the Flower God in her was still there!

He looked at the girl in front of him, tired but proud. He wanted to hug her. Wanted to tell her how long he had waited for this moment.

But... he couldn't.

She still couldn't remember. This was just her subconscious. If he scared her, the seal in her body (the peach blossom birthmark) might backfire, damaging her soul.

He had to hold back.

Luc Bac Than collected all his emotions. He used the coldest expression, nodding.

"Not bad."

"Not... not bad?" An Lac Vi almost bit her tongue. She stayed up two nights, coming up with an idea that she thought was genius, and he only said "not bad"?

"Good idea." He added, as if it was a blessing. "Develop it into a complete presentation file. Tomorrow afternoon, at 2 o'clock, you will present it to the entire Board of Directors."

"WHAT???" An Luo Wei shouted. "The board of directors? Me? Alone?"

"You're my Exclusive Assistant." He raised his eyebrows. "If you don't do it, should I?"

"But they're all... sly foxes! They'll tear me to pieces!"

"That's your job." Lu Bei Chen closed the document. "If you can't do it, then you're a useless vase."

"You...!" Lu Bei Chen, you bastard!

An Luo Wei angrily carried the sketch back to her seat, both tired and scared, but also mixed with extreme excitement. The board of directors! She would be presenting to them!

She didn't know. As soon as she turned away, Lu Bei Chen picked up her phone and sent a message to Assistant Zhang.

[Message: Send An Luo Wei's sketch to the Marketing department. Implement immediately. This is the final design.]

He "decided" immediately. Making her present, just wanted to... create a stage for her, to let the whole world see the return of "Flower God".

While An Lac Vi was frantically making slides, outside, a huge media storm had already broken out.

At eight in the morning, a series of tabloids and entertainment news sites simultaneously published a sensational news:

[HOT: CHAIRMAN OF THE EMPEROR GOD LUC BAC THAN ABANDONED HIS CHILDHOOD FRIEND, DATED A YOUNG FEMALE STUDENT?]

[Evidence of Lu Bac Than 'Kim Oc Tang Kieu': Carrying a strange beauty into Helius Hospital!]

[The third party or true love? The identity of the mysterious girl who caused Jiang Suo Ru to be 'banned' from the Emperor!]

The article attached a series of candid photos. There was a photo of An Luo Wei being carried into the car by Lu Beichen in the park (even though her face was blurred, her figure was still recognizable). There was a photo of her being taken to the Emperor by a white Bentley.

The entire S city exploded. The Emperor's stock started to fluctuate slightly.

In the office, An Luo Wei was completely unaware. She had turned off her phone to concentrate.

Assistant Zhang's face was pale, and he rushed into the office (forgetting to knock on the door).

"Lu... General Lu! Something big has happened!"

Lu Beichen raised his head. He took the iPad Assistant Zhang gave him and scrolled through the headlines.

The temperature in the room dropped to below zero.

"General Lu... this..."

Lu Beichen calmly put down the iPad. His eyes were cold as ice. He knew clearly whose masterpiece this was.

"Jiang. Suo. Ru."

He muttered. "Do you think just spreading these tabloids can sway me? You're still as naive as you were thirty thousand years ago."

He picked up the phone. "Call the Editor-in-Chief of the Financial Times. In 10 minutes, I want an exclusive interview."

Assistant Zhang was stunned. "Interview? About... about this?"

Lu Beichen curled his lips. "She wants to play? Okay. I'll play with her."

He looked at An Luowei, who was still working hard.

Weiwei, don't worry. In this life, no one can bully you. Not even rumors.

I will turn this storm... into the most solemn "identity reveal" scene.
