Chapter 23 - Invite Them to Die

At the beginning of the New Year in Konoha Year 24, Mitsuki Kōmei arranged for the Hai Li Lao restaurants in the eighteen counties of the Land of Water to open on the same day.

Mitsuki Kōmei sent people to distribute flyers and coupons nationwide, not even missing small Villages with only dozens of people, making it known throughout the Land of Water.

He dispatched the trained chefs to the county branches, using Intermediate seasonings sold by the System.

Mitsuki Kōmei sat in a private room, listening to Uchiha Kawa preside over the opening ceremony outside the door.

"Everyone, please be quiet. With the opening of the Daimyo Manor's restaurant, all consumption will receive a 20% discount."

"The dining method personally developed by Lord Mitsuki , using the Daimyo Manor's secret seasonings, will surely satisfy everyone. Welcome to taste it."

Mitsuki Kōmei was highly respected by the Common People of the Land of Water, and with his endorsement, business was exceptionally booming on the opening day.

"I never expected that Lord Mitsuki 's secret seasonings could make seafood so delicious."

"Indeed, each of the several ways of eating has its own unique characteristics, and you can even try making them yourself."

Mitsuki Kōmei adopted a high-end approach, and the prices were not cheap. He didn't mind others making money using his methods. Influenced by him, a large number of people in the Land of Water began to engage in the seafood business in a short period.

Unconsciously, three more months passed. Mitsuki Kōmei's strength further increased, developing a 10% Immortal Ascension body, and his Chakra reached 200 units.

The last batch of grain for the transaction with the Land of Fire was about to be delivered. It was time to meet with the Finance Minister and abduct him back to the Land of Water.

"Uncle He, call Kawa Wa and Go Kawa, the two Jonin, over."

The Deliberation Hall was brightly lit. Kawa Wa and Go Kawa walked into the hall with smiles on their faces. Mitsuki Kōmei looking for them meant another opportunity to earn extra money.

Mitsuki Kōmei held a mask in his hand, carefully drawing on it, and glanced up at the two.

"Gentlemen, the last batch of grain, valued at 200 million taels, for the Land of Fire is about to be delivered."

He put down the mask in his hand and continued, "Chief Yu is unavailable, so I want to entrust this task to you. You two have time, right?"

As Mitsuki Kōmei finished speaking, Kawa Wa and Go Kawa's expressions visibly became extremely reluctant.

"Lord Mitsuki , we do have time, but our mission is to protect the safety of the Daimyo Manor. You understand what I mean, right?"

"Don't worry, the mission reward is one million taels per person."

"Taking on a mission privately, it would be difficult for us to explain to Lord Mizukage." Go Kawa winked at Kawa Wa.

Mitsuki Kōmei's expression remained unchanged, thinking, 'Wouldn't it be better to just accept the mission and go die?'

"I can add more money, two million taels per person. You wouldn't turn down money, would you?"

"Goods worth 200 million taels must be very dangerous. We are powerless."

Go Kawa was unmoved; he still wanted more.

"State your conditions then!"

Mitsuki Kōmei was a little annoyed. Anyway, the two were destined to never return, so they could ask for whatever they wanted. If they could get it, he would lose.

"Lord Mitsuki , five million taels per person isn't too much, is it?" Go Kawa raised one hand, spreading his five fingers.

"Not too much. Once the grain is brought back, you can get the money immediately. Go back and prepare." Mitsuki Kōmei picked up the mask again and started drawing.

"Wait, I haven't finished speaking."

"Hmm? Don't you think your demands are a bit excessive?" Mitsuki Kōmei's expression turned angry, and a fierce glint appeared in his eyes.

"Then you should find others to complete the mission!" Go Kawa spread his hands and shrugged.

"You continue."

"We want two maids to play with. The one who just led us in was quite good. And two Hime singers."

Mitsuki Kōmei's face was calm. He stared at Go Kawa without saying a word. The hall was eerily quiet, with only the crackling sound of burning candles.

"Alright. Go back and prepare."

The two left the Deliberation Hall, satisfied.

Mitsuki Kōmei watched them leave and suddenly smiled. He picked up the mask and continued drawing.

Kawa Wa and Go Kawa excitedly left the Land of Water, driving a small boat in a hurry towards the capital of the Land of Fire.

Mitsuki Kōmei left the Daimyo Manor that night, carried by the wind, arriving in the Land of Fire before them.

In a forest somewhere in the Land of Fire, Mitsuki Kōmei, wearing a mask, arrived outside the forest apartment building and gently knocked on the door.

Soon, the door opened, and Mitsuki Kōmei followed a staff member inside the apartment building.

"May I ask what brings you to the Underground Exchange, sir? Are you here to accept a mission or post one?" The staff member took out paper and pen, looking up at Mitsuki Kōmei as he asked.

"Post a mission."

Hearing Mitsuki Kōmei wanted to post a mission, "Oh? The Underground Exchange's remuneration isn't cheap. Are you sure?"

"Yes. A mission worth thirty million taels. Will you accept it?"

Mitsuki Kōmei placed his hands on the reception counter, his masked face leaning close to the staff member.

"Yes, of course we'll accept it. If the price is right, we'll take any mission." The staff member's interest grew, and he asked curiously, "What kind of mission do you want to post?"

"Two Jonin from the Hidden Mist Village will pass through Kami Shika Village on their way back to the Land of Water. I need the grain they are carrying. To ensure foolproof success, the mission taker must have twenty years of experience."

"No problem. Please pay the deposit and sign here."

Mitsuki Kōmei took the mission scroll handed to him by the staff member, confirmed it was correct, and signed his name: Root.

After paying the deposit, Mitsuki Kōmei left the Underground Exchange and headed to Kami Shika Village to wait for them.

Not long after he left, Kakuzu arrived at the Underground Exchange. As soon as he entered the door—

"Kakuzu, there's a mission perfect for you. Do you want to take it? The bounty is absolutely generous."

"As long as the price is right, I'll take any mission."

"Here's the mission scroll for you. Intercept and kill two Hidden Mist Village Jonin and get the grain. The mission isn't difficult."

Kakuzu took the scroll, checked the mission content, and said, "I'll take it."

Five days later, Kakuzu entered the Village. That afternoon, Kawa Wa and Go Kawa entered the Village. The intelligence capabilities of the Underground Exchange were truly powerful.

"The mission is too simple. After leaving the Land of Fire, I'll go back and taste the maids by the Daimyo's side. I wonder how they taste?"

"Hmph, you two won't have the chance. Hand over the grain, and I'll leave you with a complete corpse." Kakuzu stepped out of the shadows.

"Who are you? You dare to rob the Hidden Mist Village's grain?"

Kawa Wa and Go Kawa, whose bodies had long been hollowed out, roared, feigning courage.

"Don't just say the Hidden Mist Village's grain. If the price is right, I can even try for the head of the Hidden Mist Mizukage. If you don't hand it over, I'll take it myself."

Mitsuki Kōmei stood in the distance, observing the battlefield of the three. Kakuzu fighting two useless individuals from the Hidden Mist Village had no suspense at all. He easily subdued the two useless individuals in about ten minutes.

"Clap, clap, clap. As expected of someone daring enough to accept a mission to assassinate Senju Hashirama. Truly impressive." Mitsuki Kōmei walked out from behind them, clapping as he walked.

"Lord Mitsuki ? What are you doing here?" Go Kawa was quite surprised.

"I'm here to deliver your reward. Traveling a thousand miles to deliver a reward, aren't you two touched?"

As he spoke, Mitsuki Kōmei raised his right hand, aimed at their lower bodies, and fired.

"Ah!" Kawa Wa and Go Kawa clutched a certain area, rolling on the ground.

"How does it feel? Isn't it very comfortable? Do you still dare to have ideas about my maids? You have no more use, so you can go die."

"Spare… spare me!"

Aiming at their heads, with two bangs, he sent them to meet the Six Paths Sage.
