Chapter 44 - Exhaust pipe

Fu Lengyu smashed the report that Anna had taken as her own directly onto her head, interrupting her words in a simple and rude manner. "Get out! I don't want to see you again!" The stack of reports was so thick that it made Anna see stars.

Fu Lengyu never had a good expression for employees who betrayed or acted against him in private. Anna, who had previously been charming, left stumbling and with a loss of grace.

An Ran swallowed her saliva, even more afraid of this capricious Fu Lengyu. She lowered her head and said softly, "I don't have anything else to do, so I'll go back first."

Her voice was as small as a mosquito's, afraid of disturbing the tyrant Fu Lengyu.

"Who told you to go back?" An Ran had just turned around to leave, but had to stop her footsteps.

"Is there anything else you need, Mr. Fu?" Her attitude was respectful, without any mistakes, and even a little too respectful.

Fu Lengyu became even more unhappy when he saw An Ran. He had helped her solve a big problem, but she didn't even show any gratitude? She was really a heartless woman!

"Help me pour a cup of coffee!" An Ran obediently went to make him a cup of coffee, with just the right amount ofsugar, and the taste was very suitable.

After taking a sip, Fu Lengyu felt that it was not bad and thought for a moment before saying, "Don't go back to the secretarial department, stay here and be my daily assistant."

In fact, as soon as the words were spoken, Fu Lengyu regretted them. Was he possessed by a ghost just now? How could he allow this woman to be around him every day?

An Ran was startled by these words and quickly shook her head to refuse, afraid that if she refused too late, she would really be transferred to be a daily life assistant!

"No, no...I'm doing well in the secretarial department!"

Fu Lengyu snorted, dissatisfied with An Ran stepping back step by step, pulling her hand and dragging her in front of him, coldly and viciously asking, "Are you afraid of me? What are you afraid of?"

At this point, An Ran dared not speak recklessly, because she had roughly figured out this person after the previous incident.

In this situation, the more she said, the worse it would be. It was better to keep quiet.

"Forget it! Women like you are just a nuisance to me! Get out of here!"

He pushed her away, and An Ran stumbled and almost hit the table. Finally, she stabilized herself and dared not look at Fu Lengyu again, fleeing from the CEO's office like her lifedepended on it.

Until the other party disappeared from her sight, Fu Lengyu muttered to himself, "Am I crazy? Why did I help this woman!"

Back in the office, An Ran felt like she had survived a disaster. Linlin, who sat opposite her at the desk, called out to her, "An Ran, come over and check if these things have any mistakes."

Linlin was a girl about the same age as An Ran, and on the surface, they even had the same gentle and calm temperament.

However, she was a bit introverted, and although she had followed the trend of doubting An Ran before, she had not done anything excessive.

An Ran didn't say anything and went over to help check. After checking for a while, she corrected a few small errors.

Finally, when she finished, the person on the other side asked her to make a few cups of coffee. An Ran was about to agree, but she thought of what had just happened and forcibly stopped herself from saying what was on the tip of her tongue.

"Why are you dragging your feet, An Ran? Hurry up and go!"

"That's right. If you can't even handle these important tasks, it's okay, after all, intelligence and work ability are not something that can be forced. But if you can't even do thissmall task well, then you really are useless! Hahaha..."

Lily frowned, disagreeing with what those people were saying, but she didn't speak up and just tugged on Anran's sleeve when no one was looking. "Forget it, go make them some coffee so they won't mock you again," she whispered.

Anran was grateful for Lily's help and shook her head slightly, indicating that she could handle it. She stepped forward under the urging of the crowd and raised her voice to make an announcement. "Anna and I went to the top floor just now, and Mr. Fu has already cleared my name. I didn't falsely accuse Anna!"

The two men who were about to urge her to do something were silenced by her words, their faces turning red and blue with anger.

"Anna stole the financial report I made, claimed it as her own, and then turned around to falsely accuse me. After Mr. Fu found out, he fired Anna! As for my work, it will be reassigned to me by the higher-ups."

"Let me reiterate, I'm not a gofer. If it's colleagues helping each other, I'm happy to do so, but if you treat me like a free assistant to exploit, then sorry, I'm not easy to deal with!"

The people who had previously bullied and mocked Anran had their faces darkened, and only Lily exclaimed in surprise. She was truly amazed that Anran had managed to bring down Anna, who was rumored to have an ambiguous relationship with Mr. Fu. It was unbelievable!Lily looked at Anran with admiration in her eyes. "You're amazing! Anna has been acting like a tyrant in the secretarial department for a long time, and we've been unhappy with her for a long time! I didn't expect you to solve this problem in just a few days! Anran, you're really something!"

Lily was so excited that her face turned red, as if she had been bullied by Anna herself.

Anran smiled wryly, knowing that it was normal to be excited when someone you disliked was fired. She shook her head and said, "Mainly because Anna really went too far. I hope this kind of thing won't happen again in the future. We're all in the same office, and I hope we can get along well in the future."

Except for Lily, the others were absent-mindedly saying a few words of perfunctory comfort before returning to their work.

When it was time to leave work, Anran still had to go find Lin Yu to ask about her future work responsibilities. However, in the hallway, she bumped into Anna, who was leaving with her belongings in a hurry.

Anna's carefully packed things were scattered all over the floor, and Anran's arm was cut by the sharp edge of her box, causing blood to seep out and her heart to ache.

"Are you doing this on purpose?" Anna saw Anran and, as enemies, wanted to get an explanation. She pushed Anran while speaking, and Anran, caught off guard, was pushed into the wall, causing her forehead to break out in a cold sweat from the pain.

"I didn't mean to!" An Ran explained weakly, enduring the pain.

She had just looked down at her phone and slowed down her pace, but who knew she would still bump into someone head-on!

And she had bumped into the last person she wanted to see.

"You clearly did it on purpose! Humph! You're just a hopeless idiot who can only use these lowly methods to get back at me!"

Anna's pent-up anger exploded, and she wanted nothing more than to slap this despicable person in front of her. "Don't think that you've won just by driving meaway! Mr. Fu has plenty of women around him, and he won't like you, a wife who only serves as a decoration and vents her anger on others!"
