"Sure, no problem."
Carl thought for a moment and agreed to Lusamine's request. He already had a Silver Guardian Beast and wasn't particularly eager for more. Helping Lusamine was no trouble at all.
"The method for evolution is quite simple, actually. The key lies in the bond. However, I have a shortcut—ever heard of 'eagle taming'?"
He explained in detail the way to evolve Full Attribute and shared his unique technique.
Lusamine's eyes lit up upon hearing this. "So, if I get another Full Attribute and bring it to you, you can help me evolve it?"
"In theory, yes. It's just a matter of time."
"That's wonderful!" she exclaimed, nodding enthusiastically. "I'll definitely count on you when the time comes."
Everyone realized that Lusamine must have another Full Attribute up her sleeve, and it was probably not the only one.
Mewtwo, listening from the side, felt a bit conflicted.
On one hand, she was no longer the only artificial creature, which was somewhat comforting. Being unique often comes with solitude, and she wasn't keen on being alone.
But on the other hand, she felt slightly overlooked, which dampened her spirits.
Noticing her mood change, Carl reassured her, "As I said before, don't worry too much about your origins. What's important is knowing who you are."
"I know," Mewtwo nodded slightly, "I was just curious."
Caitlyn chimed in, "What exactly is Magearna, this other artificial creature?"
"It's likely the kind that girls would adore," Carl began to explain what he had learned. Since Professor Oak helped him acquire the special Ralts, he must have taken note of this unique mythical creature too. There was no need to keep it a secret any longer.
"A mythical creature that takes care of people?"
"With a history of five hundred years?"
"It can transform into a Poké Ball and sense the thoughts and physical conditions of other creatures?"
"Adored by princesses for its beautiful appearance?"
"It assists injured creatures?"
After hearing this, the girls present were all intrigued. Who wouldn't want a creature that's not only strong and beautiful but also protective and empathetic?
Only Lusamine maintained her scientific composure. "It's more similar to Full Attribute, entirely different from Mewtwo."
Mewtwo immediately turned to her, "How so?"
"It's quite simple." Lusamine crossed her arms, her golden hair flowing as intelligence sparkled in her eyes. "Magearna's body is mechanical, with the 'Soul-Heart' as its power source. If it weren't for its self-awareness, it could be seen as a robot."
"When designing Full Attribute, I used a similar approach, with memory as the core and the system as the framework, bridging mechanical and biological."
"But you," she pointed at Mewtwo, "are entirely biological, without any mechanical components."
"That completes the three possibilities." The three types of artificial creatures were all accounted for.
Mewtwo nodded lightly, understanding.
She realized her knowledge in this area was lacking and resolved to read more related books, not just history and aromatherapy.
"Alright, let's wrap this up."
Carl didn't want to continue the philosophical discussion with Lusamine and turned to Groudon instead. "Have you considered it? Will you help me?"
"Roar! (No problem!)" Groudon agreed wholeheartedly.
The choice was simple, really.
After listening to Carl's explanation and understanding Magearna's capabilities, Groudon was convinced he wasn't lying.
Since Carl could find Magearna, he could use its Soul-Heart to locate the power of Regigigas in the Crown Tundra, resonating with the energy to pinpoint its true location.
In other words, Carl was bound to reach the Crown Tundra, though the complexity of the process might vary.
Better to seize the opportunity for some benefits rather than keep secrets in vain.
"Smart choice!" Carl smiled, satisfied, and immediately activated his communicator.
A holographic image quickly appeared on the screen.
"Hey, Carl!" Hoopa waved excitedly, a bright smile on its face.
Groudon's expression changed dramatically. She hadn't expected this human to be acquainted with Hoopa. This was bad news— even if she escaped outside to regain her strength, Carl could have Hoopa teleport her back. The chance of escape was gone.
Kyogre had the same thought.
Carl hadn't considered this method yet, but it was currently unusable anyway. Hoopa was in a sealed state, able only to summon creatures over but unable to forcibly teleport them to a specific location unless they willingly passed through the portal.
"Hey Carl, this communicator is amazing!" Hoopa was delighted, fiddling with the holographic communicator. Carl had given it specifically to her for convenience in staying in touch.
Lillie and the others gathered around, curiously observing the legendary creature. The adorable Hoopa before them was a far cry from its documented image.
"Hello, everyone! Hoopa loves making new friends!" Hoopa twirled joyfully. Since being sealed, she seldom saw so many people, but Carl had solved that problem for her.
After everyone had chatted enough, Carl finally spoke, "Hoopa, do you know the Crown Tundra?"
"The Crown Tundra? Hoopa's heard of it!" Hoopa nodded, then shook her head. "But never been there."
"I have the coordinates. Can you help with the teleport?"
"Of course!" Hoopa removed the ring from her horn, twirling it confidently. "Hoopa's got this!"
Carl smiled, pleased, and turned to Groudon. "I've lifted some of your energy restrictions, let's begin."
Groudon: …
She closed her eyes, focusing to sense the spatial fluctuations of the Crown Tundra.
"Roar (How do I tell you?)"
"Simple!" Carl used telepathy, enhanced by the World Tree's domain, "Share the image directly."
Groudon immediately transmitted the sensed imagery.
Receiving the information, Carl smiled. "So that's where it is. This should be interesting."
He turned to Hoopa's projection. "Open a portal; I'll send you the coordinates."
"Hoopa, ready!"
The golden ring expanded in the air.
Carl used aura to contact Hoopa, transmitting the coordinate information.
"Found it!" Hoopa quickly replied, "Ready for the Crown Tundra!"
Carl looked at Lusamine. "Want to come along?"
Lusamine nodded firmly. "Of course."
"Let's go."
Carl leaped through the ring with her, leaving the others behind, visibly puzzled.
Upon reaching Hoopa's side, Carl signaled her to open the path to the tundra.
"Hoopa, activate!"
The ring glowed once more.
Carl didn't move immediately, instead turning to Lusamine.
Understanding his intent, Lusamine's voice trembled slightly. "Hoopa, could you please check if those two people are still in the tundra?"
Carl was a bit surprised.
Besides Mohn, who else was she looking for?
"Hoopa, check!"
The ring flickered for a long while, but no one appeared.
