Chapter 478 - Chapter 479: Gathering All the Tailed Beasts — The Ten-Tails Appears

On a vast plain at the northeastern border of the Land of Fire, near where it met the Land of Hot Water!

A gentle breeze blew in from the distance, sweeping across the endless expanse of grassland — the grass rippled like green waves, rolling softly to and fro.

Yuto lay peacefully on the grassland, a blade of foxtail grass between his lips, breathing in the fresh scent of the air, his face wearing an expression of pure contentment.

In an environment like this, falling asleep would surely be wonderfully comfortable — and with his current constitution, he didn't need to worry about catching a cold.

But Yuto clearly hadn't come here today to sleep, nor to enjoy himself.

Yuto felt it was rather a pity — this beautiful stretch of plain. Perhaps because of that thought, the entire plain suddenly fell into an eerily profound silence.

As if something terrible was about to appear.

With the sound of footsteps, a calm yet commanding figure appeared not far from where Yuto lay.

"I never expected that after all these years, you'd finally done it — your so-called unification."

Uchiha Madara stood with his arms crossed, his gaze calmly fixed on Yuto, who lay on the grass not far away. At this point, his tone shifted:

"But just how long can such peace last?"

"The day you're no longer here, your so-called unified peace will inevitably crumble — and when that time comes, your peace will become a laughingstock."

Uchiha Madara spoke with a cold sneer — clearly, he'd never agreed with Yuto's notion of unification from the very start.

Hearing Uchiha Madara's cutting words, Yuto's face showed a trace of helplessness as he sat up from the ground.

"People have desires — as long as people exist, desire will never disappear. Why be so obsessed with eliminating human desire?"

"If one day people had no desires, would they still be human? Judging 'right and wrong' by today's standards can never truly see clearly — everything must ultimately be left for future generations to decide."

Yuto wore a lazy, casual expression as he looked at Uchiha Madara with a light smile.

"Boring ideals." Uchiha Madara gave a cold snort — clearly, he had no intention of agreeing with anyone else's philosophy.

Yuto spread his hands, not particularly bothered.

If Uchiha Madara were truly that easy to convince, then he wouldn't be Uchiha Madara.

"The Tailed Beasts I promised you!"

Yuto raised his arm and casually snapped his fingers.

A faint spatial fluctuation appeared ahead, and then four jars roughly the height of a person materialized directly in front of Uchiha Madara.

These four jars were the very ones Yuto had used to seal those four Tailed Beasts!

Uchiha Madara first glanced at the four jars, then turned his head back, narrowing his eyes slightly as he looked at Yuto.

That Yuto would actually hand over all four remaining Tailed Beasts was somewhat beyond Uchiha Madara's expectations.

To be honest, deep down Uchiha Madara had fully expected Yuto to break his word — not because he didn't trust Yuto, but because he didn't believe a smart man would give his opponent a chance to turn the tables.

"No matter what your real purpose is — don't come to regret it."

Uchiha Madara gave Yuto a long, searching look, then spoke with a cold smile.

He strongly suspected Yuto had some other scheme — but so what? In the face of true power, schemes and strategies meant nothing!

A domineering aura surged from Uchiha Madara's body. He raised his hand toward the four jars, palm open, then clenched it sharply.

Crack! Crack!

Fissures spread across the jars at visible speed, rapidly covering their entire surfaces.

Wild, furious, dark, and violent Tailed Beast chakra seeped continuously from the four jars, an invisible pressure spreading outward in all directions.

Facing this power — terrifying beyond measure for ordinary ninja —

Neither Yuto nor Uchiha Madara showed the slightest change in expression, as if that crushing pressure and fearsome chakra didn't exist at all.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

The Two-Tails Matatabi, Three-Tails Isobu, Six-Tails Saiken, and Seven-Tails Chōmei — four massive Tailed Beast forms — burst free from the shattered jars, releasing furious, low-pitched roars.

Four mountain-like figures appeared on the plain, radiating a terrifying and overwhelming aura.

The Tailed Beasts, once regarded by the ninja world as powerful weapons, instantly reined in their chakra the moment they appeared, scanning their surroundings with eyes full of fear and alarm.

While surveying the area, the four Tailed Beasts naturally spotted Yuto and Uchiha Madara first!

All four Tailed Beasts tensed up instantly, as if their fur had stood on end!

"Run!!"

The Seven-Tails Chōmei let out a furious roar first, then shot straight into the sky.

The remaining Two-Tails Matatabi, Three-Tails Isobu, and Six-Tails Saiken simultaneously fled in three different directions at top speed!

They couldn't even handle one of these two — let alone both. Whether they could escape was no longer within the four Tailed Beasts' consideration.

But what if they could get away?

"Where do you think you're going, you beasts?"

Uchiha Madara wore a cold smile as he clapped his hands together.

Summoning Technique!

"Boom!" A massive cloud of white smoke appeared out of thin air on the ground.

Accompanied by a slightly hoarse, low-pitched roar, the enormous form of the Gedo Statue emerged from the white smoke, opening its mouth wide as four chakra chains shot out from within.

Each chain streaked toward one of the four fleeing Tailed Beasts!

Four terrified roars rang out as the four chakra chains fired from the Gedo Statue's mouth began rapidly retracting, clanking like metal links.

In just a few breaths!

The four fleeing Tailed Beasts were dragged back, and under Uchiha Madara's control, were directly absorbed into the Gedo Statue's body.

"All recovered."

Uchiha Madara spoke in a flat tone, the corner of his eye fixed intently on Yuto's direction.

If Yuto wanted to seize the Ten-Tails, this would have been the perfect moment to strike — but in Uchiha Madara's gaze, Yuto hadn't moved so much as an inch, his expression that of someone simply enjoying the show.

Having devoured all nine Tailed Beasts, the Gedo Statue suddenly fell into a state of stillness, its terrifying aura and pressure gradually contracting inward.

Boom!

The Gedo Statue's body suddenly convulsed, then its massive form toppled directly to the ground with an enormous crash.

The Gedo Statue's body, lying on the ground, began to undergo tremendous changes under the gaze of Yuto and Uchiha Madara.

Its body began to expand — swelling to two or three times its original size — and thick, massive tails began growing out from what had seemed like a broken tree stump, spreading outward.

Ten enormous tails swayed casually through the air, each swing generating winds no less than a Category Seven gale.

The once-humanoid Gedo Statue was now transforming into a bestial form — its tails reshaping into claw-like appendages, its head forming a single eye, a single ear, and a single mouth, looking grotesque and ferocious.

And its eye took on the eerie shape of a Rinnegan, rolling ceaselessly in its socket.

In an instant, the Ten-Tails' form was fully complete — an indescribable, terrifying chakra and ominous aura radiated from the Ten-Tails' body.

It gave one the feeling of facing a natural disaster — the end of the world itself.

Yuto had already long since left his original position, now appearing about a hundred meters from the Ten-Tails.

"So this is the Ten-Tails? It's on a completely different level from the individual Tailed Beasts — what a powerful and terrifying aura."

Yuto raised his head, gazing at the colossal form that blocked out the sky, a trace of gravity crossing his face as he sighed.

On the other side!

Seeing the Ten-Tails in its current state, Uchiha Madara's face showed an expression of uncontrollable excitement.

"So we've finally reached this point — the true… power of the Sage of Six Paths!"

Uchiha Madara drew in a deep breath, his eyes gleaming with brilliant light.

At the same moment the Ten-Tails appeared, that terrifying, ominous aura was instantly sensed by everyone in the surrounding area.

Several kilometers from where Yuto and Uchiha Madara stood, atop a large tree.

Uchiha Obito, Sasuke, Kakuzu, Hidan, and Sasori — all five raised their heads, gazing at the incomparably vast figure in the distance.

"What on earth is that thing?"

Sasuke's pupils contracted sharply, his face filled with disbelief.

"The Ten-Tails!"

"The final existence formed when the Gedo Statue absorbs all nine Tailed Beasts and fuses with them."

Uchiha Obito spoke in a calm tone — though his voice was far less composed than his expression.
