Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Howard Stark

Chapter 13: Howard Stark

Aidan was pleasantly surprised.

But before he could be happy, unfamiliar voices appeared in his mind, one after another.

These voices all came from the inner thoughts of the surrounding students and parents.

The chaotic thoughts made Aidan feel as if he was in a bustling market, incredibly noisy.

If it were his former self, he might have been confused by these jumbled voices.

But perhaps because he had directly faced the Phoenix Force within Jean last night—though it was only a trace of power inadvertently leaked—it had caused a fundamental change in his spiritual power.

The intensity and control of his spiritual power had increased by five or six times.

Therefore, he merely focused his mind slightly, and the noisy voices in his head instantly vanished.

After doing all this, Aidan greeted Jarvis.

"Hello, Uncle Jarvis!"

"Hello, young man, I'm glad Danny has you as a friend," Jarvis replied with a smile.

[I rarely have time to accompany Danny, so it's quite good for him to have Aidan as a friend.]

In Aidan's mind, Jarvis's inner thoughts echoed again.

It was evident that Danny also lacked companionship in his daily life, which was why he rarely went home even when school was on holiday.

"Let's go, Aidan," Danny called out, then took the back seat of the car first.

Aidan nodded, waved to Jarvis, and then got in.

With a rumble of the engine, the car slowly moved forward, smoothly driving out of the school.

There was no conversation along the way, and about two hours later, the car stopped in front of a luxurious Villa.

"Danny, and Aidan, we've arrived!"

Jarvis called out to the two in the back seat.

"Woohoo, finally home! Come on, Aidan, I'll show you around."

As soon as the car stopped, Danny eagerly pulled Aidan out and rushed towards the Villa.

Aidan could only smile wryly, letting Danny pull him along.

While being pulled, Aidan also observed the surroundings of the Villa.

This Villa was not particularly large, but it was about four or five hundred square meters.

Its location was also excellent, surrounded by a lush forest, with occasional bird calls from the woods and gentle breezes blowing through, giving it a peaceful and serene feeling.

It must be said, this was a good place.

It wasn't far from the city, and no one would disturb them normally; it was just as good as the school environment.

"How is it? My home isn't bad, right?" Danny looked at Aidan with a beaming smile, his expression eager for praise.

Aidan said nothing, simply giving a silent thumbs-up.

Seeing this, Danny became even happier.

"Danny, Aidan, you two play at home. If you get hungry, tell your Aunt Evelyn. I might be back late."

Not far away, Jarvis had not gotten out of the car. Instead, he poked his head out, gave an instruction to Danny, and then prepared to start the car.

Hearing this, a hint of loneliness flashed in Danny's eyes.

But he didn't forget what he had promised Aidan. He quickly ran to the car window and said to Jarvis, "Dad, Aidan and I have a small experiment to complete during the summer vacation. Can you ask Uncle Howard if he has time to guide us?"

This was, of course, a small lie from Danny.

Because he knew his father best: a dedicated and responsible butler, but not a qualified father.

Jarvis was about to refuse, thinking that Howard, as the owner of a World-class military factory and a top scientist, would certainly not have time to waste with two children.

But seeing the hopeful look in Danny's eyes, Jarvis swallowed the refusal that was already on his lips.

For some reason, he inexplicably recalled his shortcomings towards Danny over the years.

It seemed his time had been spent serving Mr. Howard's family, while the time he spent with his son and wife was very little.

"Hmm, I will ask Mr. Stark. You two stay around the Villa and don't wander too far," Jarvis nodded, indicating his agreement.

Seeing this, Danny's face was also full of smiles.

And Aidan also smiled, silently withdrawing his spiritual power.

In fact, the reason Howard's mind had inexplicably recalled his shortcomings towards his son just now was precisely because Aidan had secretly used his spiritual power to draw out these memories.

This caused Jarvis to feel guilty, and only then did he agree to Danny's request.

Otherwise, given Jarvis's dedicated attitude towards the Stark family, he would absolutely not have agreed.

He had only just awakened his spiritual abilities, and he could already achieve such a degree, which was clearly due to his years of daily training.

On the other side, Jarvis drove towards Stark Industries Park, his heart still restless along the way.

"Alas, I have indeed lacked companionship for Danny these past years. I am not a good father."

Clearly, the memories Aidan had drawn out had a significant lingering effect on Howard; he hadn't quite recovered from it for a while.

So much so that when he returned to Stark Industries and saw his employer, Howard Stark, again, the expression on his face also caught the other party's attention.

"Jarvis, didn't I tell you to take a few days off to spend with Danny? Why are you back so soon? Also, what's wrong with you?"

Howard stopped his work and looked at Jarvis with a puzzled expression.

At this time, Howard Stark was about forty years old, his hair meticulously combed, and the two small mustaches he had grown in his youth now added a touch of composure.

"I'm fine, sir," Jarvis said with a smile, shaking his head.

However, as Jarvis's employer and an old butler who had served their family for decades, Howard knew him very well and naturally noticed Jarvis's unusual behavior.

He came from behind his desk to stand in front of Jarvis and patted Jarvis's shoulder.

"Please, Jarvis, after all these years, we've long considered you family. You can tell me anything that's bothering you."

It was clear that Howard's words held no hint of jest.

Jarvis was also deeply moved.

He thought for a moment and then told him what Danny had said earlier.

"That's all?" Howard shook his head, a little exasperated.

"Please, Jarvis, isn't it a very proud thing to guide two young people who are full of curiosity and a desire to explore science? Why would you think I would refuse?"

Hearing this, Jarvis was so moved that he couldn't speak.

Crash... Just then, the office door suddenly opened, and a figure walked in from outside, shouting at Howard.

"Hey, Dad, I'm out of money. Give me some pocket money."

The person who entered was a boy of about ten years old. The boy had delicate features, rosy lips, White teeth, and a slight resemblance to Howard in his eyebrows.

From his earlier address to Howard, his identity was already clear: it was Howard's son, Tony Stark.
