Harley Quinn's debut could be said to be perfect. Not only did she achieve the high-difficulty achievements of 'killed by Batman' and 'Batman was stunned' upon her first appearance, but she also involved the major events of Joker and Barbara Gordon!
Who is Barbara Gordon?
Commissioner James Gordon's daughter!
She also had a very famous identity, which was the first Batgirl, also known as Bat-Girl.
She was a genius hacker and also a World-class gymnast.
Her mother left when she was in her teens, and her father was busy with Police work all day, which fostered her independent personality.
Batman's appearance inspired the young Barbara Gordon to embark on the path of fighting crime, becoming Batgirl, and began cooperating with Batman and Robin.
Unfortunately, not long after becoming Batgirl, she was shot by Joker, resulting in paralysis of her lower body. She eventually changed her name to Oracle, moving behind the scenes to provide intelligence and information support to Batman.
And she formed a team of female heroes: Birds of Prey!
The incident where she was shot by Joker and paralyzed is the very famous [Batman: The Killing Joke].
Back to the present.
From the current situation, Barbara Gordon should have just become Batgirl not long ago. She had a relatively crude Batgirl costume hidden at home, which she likely made herself.
This means she hadn't yet collaborated with Batman, hadn't officially received the title of Batgirl, and hadn't become a member of the Bat-Family.
Her gunshot wound was caused by Joker.
Originally, according to Joker's plan, he should have taken some photos, then taken Commissioner Gordon, and used those photos to provoke and influence him.
However, Harley Quinn's sudden appearance disrupted Joker's plan, so he abandoned photographing Barbara Gordon and directly took Commissioner Gordon.
Although Commissioner Gordon sent an alarm to Batman, that was intentional on Joker's part. He only took Commissioner Gordon away after the alarm was sent.
Firstly, Joker had to let Batman know that Gordon was in trouble, that he was back, and the game had begun again.
Secondly, it was a diversion, using Harley Quinn to confuse Batman and create more time for himself.
Samuel appeared after Joker left, but he never revealed himself.
He silently watched Harley Quinn photograph Barbara Gordon, then get killed by Batman, until Batman took Barbara Gordon to the ambulance. Only then did he appear and take the resurrected Harley Quinn into the Mirror Space.
Oh, by the way, the encounters between Batman and Harley Quinn dropped 5 points and the Dionysus Factor, respectively.
On the rooftop, after watching Batman's figure disappear, Harley Quinn asked Samuel with a giggle, "Where are we going? Following Batman or looking for Joker?"
Samuel gazed into the distance, releasing his Mind Manipulation Ability, and quickly found Joker and the kidnapped Commissioner Gordon in an abandoned amusement park in the Gotham suburbs.
He was not at all surprised how Joker escaped from Arkham Asylum; that place was just a vacation spot for him, where he could come and go as he pleased.
However, he was somewhat curious about the reason for Joker kidnapping Commissioner Gordon and initiating the [Killing Joke] event, as the current Joker was different.
After some thought, he ultimately decided not to use his Mind Manipulation Ability to probe Joker's thoughts!
Sometimes, maintaining a certain sense of anticipation can make life more interesting.
"We're not going anywhere. We're going home to rest, and tomorrow morning we'll take over Arkham Asylum." Samuel chuckled as he put his arm around Harley Quinn, "Weren't you an intern Doctor before? How about I make you Vice Dean tomorrow?"
"Okay, okay!" Harley Quinn giggled, wrapping her arms around Samuel's neck.
"Whoosh—"
Figures flickered, and the two disappeared.
Flowers bloom in two places, words divide into two ends.
Let's not talk about what Samuel and Harley Quinn did after returning home. Let's talk about Batman, who arrived at Arkham Asylum and quickly discovered that Joker was no longer there.
"Where's Joker?"
Batman grabbed a security guard, uh, it couldn't really be called grabbing.
After all, who in all of Gotham didn't know Batman's name? Moreover, Batman was considered an unofficial partner of Arkham Asylum; he was the one who brought Joker there.
The security guard was very cooperative... and even felt honored and excited that Batman was asking him questions: "Batman, Joker is dead."
"Dead?"
Batman's first reaction was that it was impossible. Then he lowered his voice and continued to ask, "How did he die?"
"He committed suicide."
The security guard said, pointing to the wall in Joker's cell, where blood splattered, like a blooming flower of blood... "Joker died by hitting that wall. When we found him, his head was already caved in, it was terrifying."
"Are you sure he's really dead?"
"I'm sure! Many people saw it, and with his head like that, he definitely couldn't have survived," the security guard said with certainty.
Batman frowned slightly. He believed the security guard wasn't lying, but deep down, he couldn't believe Joker would commit suicide. And there was no reason for him to commit suicide!
Not to mention, Barbara Gordon's attack and Commissioner Gordon's disappearance might still be related to Joker!
"Where is his body?"
The security guard said uncertainly, "We notified the hospital as per regulations, so it should be in the hospital morgue."
Batman raised his hand and pressed the communicator in his ear, asking the Batcave to check hospital records regarding Joker's body.
Although the evidence seemed conclusive, he always had a feeling that Joker wasn't dead.
Batman thought of Harley Quinn, who had willingly sought death, and whose body had mysteriously disappeared.
"Harley Quinn, was there anything unusual about her?"
The security guard thought for a moment, then shook his head, "Dr. Quinnzel? There was nothing unusual about her. It's just that a new sponsor came today, a very young Asian man, who said he would be responsible for our salaries from now on, and he even gave us a raise."
"Penelope Young, the supervisor, received him, and Dr. Quinnzel was assigned to accompany him. But later, Dr. Quinnzel and the sponsor disappeared, uh uh, you know what I mean, ha."
The security guard squeezed his eyes, gossiping all over his face.
A young Asian benefactor?
Batman instantly thought of Samuel!
Samuel funded Arkham Asylum, and even asked him for shares in Arkham Asylum, then Harley Quinnzel was responsible for accompanying him, and then Harley Quinnzel became like the Joker, and possibly allied with the Joker to attack Barbara Gordon.
Harley Quinnzel's body was missing.
Now the Joker has 'committed suicide' again.
The more Batman thought about it, the more he felt that this matter might be related to Samuel, although he couldn't figure out Samuel's purpose for doing this, or what his starting point was, but if the Joker's 'body' was also missing, nine times out of ten, Samuel would be the biggest suspect!
