"Hupp!" Mason muffled as he got up with the help of Amaris' hand dusted his butt which was still a little sore.
But for all that Mason could give a damn about right now... what lain before him now made more importance than all the other damns.
"Looks beautiful up-close, right Mason."Amaris pondered at Mason who nodded in agreement.
Mason whose sole attention was fixed on the objects that floated before had him even more intrigued than a child who found an insect walking on the ground and wanted to pick for eating.
And after what seemed to be a long while, "So uh..., those are my cardinaes?" Mason mused.
"No, one is."
"One?"
"Yes, that is the case I am afraid to say, but..."
Mason mused with a raised brow and Amaris answered as she waved her hand and the whole atmosphere began to transform.
The once small yet comforting room transformed into something even more marvelous than night sky itself.
It seemed to be that they had now been transported a place that looks somewhat like a garden. In it, trees not too many not to scarce but just enough to allow one to admire the vast and seemingly endless scenery that unfolded before them.
The trees were even more fascinating as they took a cinnamon like scent, their leaves were painted midnight blue with a sun yellow hue that blended at the tip. The stems of the trees were broad and were covered in silver-grey bark.
And in the night sky, a crescent moon illuminated effortlessly. As well as white sparkly freckles that glimmered as they danced in the air around the two.
"Nice place you got here."
"Hmhm, it seems that you have a good sense taste to your trickster side, huh?"
"Yah yah, But is this place like..."
Mason pondered and Amaris answered, "I'll only tell you one thing about this place and that is it 'safe space' for what I can tell you for now."
Mason raised a brow and his lips curved down as he stared at Amaris for a slight second before suddenly smiling and gesturing at Amaris to get on with her explanation.
Amaris smiled and then stretched out her right hand as she took step forward, the ground rumbled steadily, the soil beneath her began to rise slowly, as she took another step and the soil rose even higher.
She continued to walk on what seemed to look like a large ladder made from the soil beneath that took a rich brown color.
After a while, Amaris seemed to have disappeared into thin air.
This caused a dull sense of impatience from Mason who thensat down on the soft grass if this bizzare garden. It also took on a deep midnight blue color.
From sitting to lying down in the grass to barely being able to hold on to his consciousness as his eyelids fluttered rapidly and his eyes fought between staying in position and rolling up and away into a deep sleep.
After all that has been occurring these past few days, why wouldn't he be mentally drained?
"I should'a known she was gonna leave me hanging like this... oh well. I guess... I... guess that's what... what I..."
Mason struggled to hold on to his conscious as the world around him began to blur and his eyelids fluttered even slower.
And just when he was about to fully lose his conscious...
"Hmhmhm, I'm here boy. Wake up."
Amaris chuckled as she shook Mason awake.
In response, his shot open and he sat up straight as he moved his jaw about as he yawned and stretched.
"Finally here, huh?" Mason mused witg solemn look on his face.
"Yes yes yes. It's time for class Mason."
Amaris taunted as she poked his nose with finger and floated into the air by a slight distance.
Mason looked at her and in his eyes, five brightly coloured strings in the order; cyan, light blue, lead, deep blue and golden yellow and crimson(half of each on the last string) floated before him highly and calmly.
"Hm? Did I get more cardinaes?"
Mason mused as Amaris shook her head sideways in response.
And Mason raised a brow and said, "If so then these must be other types of cardinaes right?"
Amarus nodded in response as she added on, "You see Mason, in this world the source of your power... which is magna has a source."
"And that is the magna sphere which was discovered a few decades ago by two men who are known as the cardinal fathers."
"Who are they exactl" Mason mused as he straightened his back and crossed his legs as he now seemed to be more attentive towards Amaris.
This pleased her so and she answered, "Harry Gyomun and Chad Hoisting. In the early 1900s, those two were part of some study tour or something. And in the midst of the tour the two made a friendly bet."
Mason nodded as he gestured for her to continue this brief history lesson.
"Chad made a race with Harry. And in that race, they agreed that whoever found the most bizzare plants or animals and got five photos of five different unique creatures would sponsor the other for the first full week of their freshman year."
"And of course, they had a meeting spot where the first to come back would win, but..."
Amaris paused as Mason raised and pushed his head a bit more in front like a child listening trying to get their favourite cartoon characters line on a TV.
And she then continued, "Chad suprisingly found five unique looking things first and he then rushed back to their meeting spot."
"He ran and found nothing one there and so he jumped and celebrated as he floated and dreamt about all the food he was gonna force out of Harry and so he waited."
"But oblivious to Chad, Harry had also made a unique discovery of his own."
"Now Mason, if were to ask you where you think the magna sphere is located... what would be the first thought that comes to mind?"
"Hmmmm...", Mason hummed as he stroked his hand against his Adam's apple and said, "I dunno somewhere top secret maybe?"
"Yes, but not entirely like that. You see Mason in this world your known as a transmigrator. And you know why?"
"Yah, because my soul was thrown into that kid's body, but my real body's most likely dead so does that make an reincarnator instead?" Mason answered as he then found himself pondering on the reality of the situation he was in.
"But hold on a minute if that's so then I am reincarnator because my body's dead."
Mason stated as he looked at Amaris hoping fir her approval of his thoughts, but she shook her head sideways.
"Mason, the people back in this earth think your transmigrator and yet your body is dead which means that you are in fact a reincarnator, right?"
"Mch, of course i got shot three times." Mason grumbled.
"Hahahahahaha... your so funny and clueless right now... you know that?"
"Ugh aren't you supposed to teaching what those are???" Mason grumbled once more as he pointed at the cardinaes floating above.
"Of course I am. This is just a pre-history lesson before we go on with the real context of this lesson."
"Now can you answer my question?"
"Do I look I- ughhhh!" Mason groaned in annoyance as he stretched his hand up and crouched his fingers in a firece manner as if he wanted to grap Amaris and give her a good strangle so as to vent out some stress.
"Hahahaha. Ah..... Mason do you know 'why' I'm calling you a transmigrator instead of a reincarnator?"
Mason suddenly flinched as his hand lowered back down and his faced expression shifted from a furious to a dumbfounded one.
And indeed, in this very moment, Mason was dumbfounded and so he asked himself, 'Why... why wouldn't she call me a reincarnator... I mean its obvious that she'd know so-'
"I think...."
Amaris cut off Mason's thoughts as she then suddenly appeared right before him, but...
Her appearance was different... more like astronomically different.
"I think you've finally realised Mason. That you aren't a reincarnator, no."
"You are in fact... a transmigrator. And yes, that means that somewhere from your earth... your body's sound asleep and your heart's beating perfectly meaning that 'you are alive' Mason Richards."
