Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: This is a kid's fight

Baki returned to the White Tiger Job Center. After handing over Li, his months-long contract with Lucky Casino finally came to an end. He opened the door to enter.

POP! A burst of color exploded into the air, raining down confetti. "Nice~ Nice~ Good job on completing your first mission~...what was your name again? Ah! Wait! Did I ever even ask your name?" Tom exclaimed as he struck a pose wearing a golden suit and sunglasses.

Yeongcheol, who was sitting on a nearby sofa eating cake, said, "Boss, our new recruit is called Baki Hanma."

"Ah! Yes! It seems age has finally caught up to me. Let me try again!" Saying this, Tom was about to strike the pose again, but Baki interrupted him. "What's all this, old man? Have you gone mad or something? Age certainly has caught up to you, but not just your memories."

Then he looked around at all the money. "...And what is all this? Did that kid from Workers give it?"

Tom laughed. "Yeah, that kid might not look like much, but he has deep pockets~" Hearing him, Baki walked to the crate of money and picked it up. "Old man, I won't be coming to work anymore."

Tom immediately jumped from the couch. "Wait! What are you doing, young Baki! This isn't your commission alone! Our White Tiger Job Center has to take its cut too, ya' know~"

Tom snatched the crate from Baki's hand and set it down gently. "But since you did all the heavy work, I'll give you sixty percent."

Baki walked toward the large cake and took a slice. "Old man, you don't have to get so serious. I'm just joking, you know." Then he took a bite of the cake. "Tch! Why is it strawberry flavor, old man? It's too unmanly."

Tom flexed his muscles. "What do you know about being manly, you brat!" Baki ate the whole slice and asked, "So? What's the next mission?"

Tom put his hands on his forehead. "Let's see, the next mission~ Let's see~~" Then he dramatically declared, "NONE! Stand by for the time being. You gotta enjoy your life with all that money, you brat."

Baki stood. "Then I'll be going, old man. Send the money to my bank account."

Tom looked at Baki's back as he walked away. Yeongcheol asked from the side, "Sir, do you like him that much?"

Tom Lee laughed thunderously. "Why? Is Yeongcheol upset?" Yeongcheol shook his head. "I'm asking just because I'm curious. It's not like you. We normally only give 40% of the commission, but now you're giving sixty percent."

Tom Lee nodded. "That kid—he reminds me of someone. Think of it as an investment."

"I feel like crap too. So... just go," Warren said to the tall boy wearing a cap in front of him.

Seeing that the boy wasn't replying, Warren asked, "Are you from Backdoor? Are you here to avenge your crew leader?"

But Johan stood still. Warren sighed. "I was already having a shitty day. If you're not gonna leave, come at me." Then he looked up. "One at the back. You come at me too."

Gun smiled. "It's been so long since I was last called out to a fight. I'm honored. The gatekeeper of Hostel just challenged me, everyone."

Johan said from the side, "You said you'd let me handle this." Then he looked at Warren. "Are you Eli Jang of Hostel? You'd better fight me for your own sake."

Warren smirked. "I get to choose who I fight with, huh? Alright, then... I don't think you skinny fools will be much fun." Warren pointed to the newcome at the end. "I wanna fight your boss. Yeah, him at the back. The bald one."

Gun looked at Jerry. "Huh? Why are you so late, Jerry Kwon?"

"Sorry, I had to take the subway after school. Jake said I need to finish middle school, at least," Jerry replied.

Johan said, annoyed, "Jake this, Jake that. You're kissing his ass so much it's gonna wear out."

"It's anus, not ass," Jerry said with a straight face.

Johan replied, "It's ass, you idiot."

Seeing all this drama, Warren said, "Jeez. You Backdoor bastards took it too far. You think you can fool me with that school uniform? This is a kid's fight. You'd bring a grown-up here?"
