"How much did you give him? The penalty is twenty times that amount."
Chairman Ahn flinched at these words. Tom added with a smile, "And did you play that kissing game with your daughter-in-law? The price for my silence will be thirty times the original sum."
Chairman Ahn staggered backward. "I don't have that kind of money!"
Tom Lee laughed. "You see, I have to get my money even if I die. Don't you have many properties? Sell them!"
When Chairman Ahn remained silent, Tom Lee continued, "Then, so you can't run away, let's start with your leg." He reached out aggressively, but Manager Kim stopped him. "His family is watching. Let's move somewhere else to talk."
Then Manager Kim looked at Chairman Ahn. "And you—what were you thinking? Were you really going to hurt your own granddaughter?!"
Tom Lee said, his face twisted with anger. "Manager Kim, what do you think you're doing?"
Suddenly, Chairman Ahn's aide grabbed Da-Young at knife's end. "Forgive me, young miss. Things have spiraled out of control."
Chairman Ahn said to Tom Lee, "I'll pay, but you must ensure no one interferes."
Tom laughed. "Ye—" But before he could finish, Baki snapped the aide's hand and pulled Da-Young to safety.
"Baki, what do you think you're doing?" Tom Lee asked through gritted teeth.
Baki scratched his head and grinned. "What, old man? Didn't you give me the mission to save Da-Young? How could I leave before completing it? I, Baki Hanma, am an honest and upright man. I can't leave a job half-done."
"Your mission is terminated. You're off the clock!" Tom shouted.
Baki shrugged and started to leave. The guards moved toward Da-Young, but Manager Kim defended her.
Seeing this, Tom Lee snapped, "What do you think you're doing now? Didn't you hear? He'll pay us if we don't interfere!"
Manager Kim didn't reply—he attacked Tom Lee instead. Tom Lee absorbed the blows, standing firm, then suddenly punched back. But before the strike could land, someone blocked it.
Tom Lee shouted, "What the fuck are you doing, you brat?!"
Baki grinned. "Old man, since I'm off duty, I'd like to settle something personal." He took his fighting stance. "Why didn't you go all out during the interview?"
Before the fight could begin, they noticed a woman stabbing Chairman Ahn.
Da-Young gasped. "M-mom?!"
Chairman Ahn looked back in pain. "H-how could you..."
Da-Young's mother screamed through tears, "YOU TURNED MY LIFE INTO HELL! NOW YOU WANT TO KILL MY DAUGHTER?!" She stabbed him several more times.
Tom Lee started forward. "Damnit! My financial backer is dying. We have to sa—"
Manager Kim stopped him. Before Tom Lee could react, Baki said, "Old man, the heir is here. Let the old man die. Either way, he betrayed us."
Da-Young's father arrived at the scene. Seeing his wife kill his father, he felt no pain over his father's death—only the crushing weight of his own failures as a husband and father. He stopped his wife, tears streaming down his face. "I'm sorry. It's because I was useless all this time. I pretended not to notice. B-but I'm going to set things right starting now."
He looked at his father. "I knew everything all along. But she's still my family. So please, stop. I'll take responsibility. Even knowing about your relationship with her."
Nearby, Baki murmured, "That old coot is going to die. Looks like my mission is complete." He turned to Tom Lee. "Old man, my task is finished. Send the money to my bank."

In the end, Da-Young's father wanted to take the fall for his father's death, but he didn't have to. Chairman Ahn survived, though most of his organs were damaged and he fell into a coma.

Baki returned home. He saw Sally and Sujin playing with Yenna, then went to the kitchen where Seongji Yuk was cooking.
"Seongji, let's spar," Baki said.
Seongji looked surprised. "Now?! Why?! What happened?!"
Baki shook his head and grinned. "Nothing. I just want to get stronger. Strong enough that no one ever holds back against me."
