Nearby, Shin Seong-Ho fought against Chairman Ahn's guards while Kang Ho-Seok protected Da-Young from the advancing security forces.
"Bring it on! Come on, you bastards!" Kang Ho-Seok cursed as he swung the crowbar at the guards.
Seeing Chairman Ahn call someone, Da-Young shouted, "Grandfather! Why? Why are you having an affair with Mom?!"
Everyone froze at this revelation. Chairman Ahn murmured, "Wha—"
But Da-Young continued, "You can't do that! Haven't you ever felt sorry for Dad?! And what is this situation right now?! Are you going to kill me because I found out your secret? Well, everyone here knows now too! Are you going to kill everyone?!"
Chairman Ahn's face twisted in anger. "Now that it's come to this... I'll have to see it through to the end."
Suddenly, a large, half-bald man appeared behind Chairman Ahn and asked, "Everyone here?"
Kim Hyoseung looked at Tom Lee. "Hmm~ I didn't hear that the 'Current King' would be here though."
The Chairman asked, "Current King? Are you talking about me?"
Kim Hyoseung answered, "Yeah~ I'm talking about Lee Dogyu—Tom Lee. Nobody told me about this, did they?"
Chairman Ahn said, "Don't tell me you can't do it now..."
Kim Hyoseung licked the pirate hook on his hand. "Eyy~ what do you mean? I do the job when I'm paid."
Then he looked at Tom Lee. "I've been wanting to take you on anyway. Aren't you a 'Legend'?"
Tom Lee asked back, "...Huh? What's this situation? Are you saying you're going to kill us? I came all the way here to do follow-up work. Forget the bonus..."
Chairman Ahn intervened, "Manager General Lee Dogyu, you're efficient in your work. But why do you love money so much? You're definitely going to demand an astronomical sum for this one, aren't you? So I've been preparing for quite a while."
He pointed at Kim Hyoseung. "A group of experts. The best in their fields—much better than you. I'm sorry, but this is the end of our deal."
Tom Lee's face twisted in anger. "Hoho... My client may be mistaken about something, but this is a violation of the contract. A violation. The penalty fee will be—"
Baki interrupted him. "Old man, what are you talking about? Now's the time to let your fists do the talking, then ask for explanations."
Several mercenaries surrounded them. Tom Lee, Manager Kim, and Baki took their fighting stances.
Kim Hyoseung said, "Lee Dogyu, the fist. Nice to meet you—I'm Kim Hyoseung. Should we—"
Tom Lee didn't wait to hear what the bald man had to say and started bashing the mercenaries. "Nice, nice. I get to meet the bastard who's trying to steal my rice bowl. Then, shall we... check how swollen your liver is?" With that, Tom Lee lunged at Kim Hyoseung.
But Kim Hyoseung moved behind him, and his mercenaries shot Tom Lee with stun guns. Manager Kim wrapped steel wire around Tom Lee's hands and pulled him away, making the stun guns miss their mark.
Meanwhile, Baki grabbed the heads of two mercenaries and smashed them together.
"Tch. So weak," Baki muttered, shaking the blood from his hands.
Tom Lee landed in a crouch after Manager Kim's timely intervention. Manager Kim said, "Please watch out. Even if they're just taser guns..."
"Huh? I'm fine. Thanks for caring about me," Tom Lee said, rolling his massive shoulders. "But it's fine getting hit by these things ♡"
Several tasers hit Tom Lee, but he easily shrugged off the damage. The mercenaries trembled at the sight.
Manager Kim rushed at the mercenaries, his steel wires coiling around their necks, creating a deadly trap.
Tom Lee closed in on Kim Hyoseung. Before Kim Hyoseung could react, Tom Lee smashed his head and followed with a flurry of punches.
Baki, however, was enjoying the fight. Two mercenaries tried to flank him, one from each side. He swept the legs out from under the mercenary on his right. As the man fell, Baki's hand shot up, grabbing his throat mid-fall and slamming him into the ground, creating a crater.
The second mercenary drove a knife toward Baki's exposed back. Baki twisted at the last second and caught the mercenary's wrist. He twisted the man's arm violently—*SNAP*—the elbow joint bending the wrong way. The mercenary shrieked, but Baki yanked him forward into a brutal knee strike that connected with his chest.
Four more mercenaries surrounded Baki, wielding batons. They attacked in unison. Baki dodged the first two strikes, then his fist shot upward in an uppercut that lifted a mercenary off his feet.
A baton swung toward Baki's head. He raised his forearm to block—the pipe smashed against his arm and bent. The mercenary stared in disbelief.
"Low-quality weapon," Baki said.
He punched the mercenary in the gut with such force that the man doubled over, vomiting blood. Baki grabbed him by the collar and used him as a human shield, blocking an incoming baton strike from another mercenary. The baton cracked against his comrade's skull, and Baki tossed the limp body aside.
The last mercenary in this group tried to run.
Baki's hand shot out, grabbing the back of his head. With terrifying strength, he slammed the man's face into his knee. Once. Twice. Three times. By the fourth impact, the mercenary was unconscious, his face a bloody mess.
Seeing his hired mercenaries and guards defeated so easily, Chairman Ahn was terrified. Tom Lee left the beaten Kim Hyoseung and walked to Chairman Ahn. "Look, Mr. Deputy Prime Minister. It's been years since we've been doing deals. I'll be disappointed if you pull this~" He pulled up the fallen body of Kim Hyoseung. "Choosing to bring this bumpkin instead, don't you think?"
