Chapter 89 - CHAPTER 89: LIFE OF A GODDESS OR LIFE OF AN ORDINARY GIRL, WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE?

The tragedy and calamity of Bo City dominated the headlines of every news channel, a harrowing tale of devastation that gripped the world. Amidst the chaos and destruction, a video from Tian Lan Magic High School's students began to surface, quietly at first, but soon it went viral, capturing the attention and hearts of millions.

Initially, the video was nothing more than an insignificant clip with a mere thousand views. Yet, as the days passed, it began to gain traction. Before long, it exploded in popularity, amassing over a billion views. The footage was raw, powerful—a testament to the indomitable spirit of youth in the face of overwhelming adversity.

The video, shot by Mo Fan, showed the harrowing moments when he had gathered everyone at the school, turning it into a temporary shelter. His voice, firm and resolute, echoed through the halls as he motivated his peers to fight for survival, to hold on to hope even when the world seemed to be crumbling around them. His words were a beacon of courage and resilience, igniting a spark in the hearts of those who listened.

"Hold your ground! We fight for our city, for our families, for our future! This is our home, and we will protect it with our lives!" Mo Fan's impassioned speech resonated with the students, inspiring a unity and determination that transcended fear.

The video was a stark contrast to the overwhelming despair, showcasing not just the horrors of the calamity but the unwavering spirit of Bo City's youth. It captured the attention of viewers worldwide, drawing admiration and empathy from people across the globe. News channels played the video repeatedly, highlighting the courage and solidarity displayed by the students.

As the video continued to gain traction, Mo Fan's popularity soared. On social media platforms, his followers multiplied rapidly, and fan pages dedicated to him sprang up overnight.

The video itself, uploaded on YouTube, became a significant source of income. With each passing month, Mo Fan received a steady influx of a million dollars in ad revenue, a testament to the video's far-reaching impact and the world's recognition of his bravery.

The financial gain, however, was secondary to the true reward: knowing that his actions had inspired a global audience.

People from different corners of the world sent messages of gratitude and admiration, sharing how the video had moved them to face their challenges with newfound strength.

International organizations and governments reached out, eager to honour Mo Fan for his contributions. Invitations for interviews, speaking engagements, and even documentary features poured in.

Mo Fan found himself at the centre of a whirlwind of attention, yet he remained incognito. Zhankong refused to reveal Mo Fan and his personal information and with Tang Zhong and Song Lin helping him, Mo Fan's personal information was blocked and unable to be accessed by anyone!

Though, they did leaked the news of Mo Fan successfully rescuing thousands of people and kept the city's treasure from falling into the hands of evil!

Because of that in a special televised ceremony, Mo Fan was awarded the Global Humanitarian Award, a prestigious recognition for his extraordinary courage and leadership.

But in his place Zhankong went, standing on the stage, he addressed the audience and viewers worldwide, his voice filled with humility and determination. "This recognition is not just for Mo Fan but for everyone who stood their ground and fought for survival. Let this be a reminder that in the face of adversity, our unity and resilience can light the way forward."

The crowd cheered at Zhankong's words! The fever of Mo Fan was high for the few following days.

...

Meanwhile,

For the next one month, Mo Fan and co. fully indulged in the luxuries and wonders of Magic City, Shanghai.

They explored the city's vibrant streets, dined in the finest restaurants, and experienced the thrill of the latest magical attractions.

Every moment was a blend of excitement and contentment, capturing the essence of their dream lives. They took countless photos, framing the most memorable ones and adorning the walls of their opulent penthouse.

Then after the days of leisure came the days of Cultivation and training!

After thoroughly enjoying themselves, all three of them focused diligently on their Magic Cultivation! With Mo Fan's abundant cultivation resources with them, they all made significant progress in their cultivation!

Especially Ye Xinxia. She was already at the peak of Basic Level! Mo Fan had given her a new set of White Magic cultivation and casting Equipment which boosted her Cultivation and Magic casting speed by a lot and solidified her foundation.

Qin Yu'er was also the same! Her Super Level Ice Element went under qualitative changes because of the priceless and pure Ice Elemental treasures he kept giving her!

Also, Mo Fan's all 15 Elements had reached the 3rd tier of Basic Level! He was now using the abundant amount of Soul Essences which Little Loach had absorbed during his fight against the Black Dragon Emperor to strengthen the stars of all his elements.

He also taught Ye Xinxia a better and efficient way to use the Healing Magic, which was taught to him by her in his previous life! Ye Xinxia's perspective on Healing Magic completely changed under Mo Fan's guidance!

On the other hand, Qin Yu'er had a sudden epiphany during her Cultivation! She tried to cast her spells by directly ignoring the process of connecting the stars and forming Star Orbits, Star Patterns, Star Constellations and Star Palaces. And somehow, she succeeded!

She was now able to cast her spells without needing to connect stars and forming Magic Circles! She was able to instantaneously cast a Super Spell of Ice Element! If she had enough Mana, she could launch a barrage of Super Level Ice Spells, which could literally level half of the Shanghai Province they were in currently!

Even experienced and Top level Super Mages were nothing in front of her, because they needed at least 1 or 2 seconds to Super Spells. While they're in the middle of casting a single Super spell, Qin Yu'er could easily launch a dozen or more Super Spells at them, thoroughly destroying her opponent!

To be honest, Mo Fan was stupefied by seeing Qin Yu'er achieve this... This was not the level of just being a genius. This was stepping into the territories of Gods! She was poking the doors of the Creator Gods realm while being just a Tier 1 Super Mage. If she were to reach the Realm of True Forbidden Curse, then not even the Arch Angels or any Emperors below Medium Emperors could touch her!

In his previous life, even Mo Fan was not able to overcome the process of casting spells by ignoring the Connection of Stars. He still needed to connect the stars to cast spell, even though his speed of connecting the stars and casting spells was instantaneous.

His world view and common sense was being warped again. _What a Monster..._ He thought while looking at the excited Qin Yu'er freezing half of the Training ground with her super spell which he had rented out for her.

He had to later pay repair fees and hush money to the owner of the Training grounds.

...

Two months went by and the month of September was just around the corner.

Today, the three decided to stay in and take a break from Cultivation stuff, basking in the comfort of their lavish home. The day began leisurely, with Mo Fan, Qin Yu'er, and Ye Xinxia sprawled across plush couches, their eyes fixed on the large screen.

They played multiplayer games on their new gaming console, their laughter echoing through the spacious living room. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the atmosphere became even more relaxed. They transitioned to binge-watching movies and dramas, their supplies of popcorn, fried chicken, and cola within easy reach.

Later in the evening, Qin Yu'er decided to take a night walk with Mo Fan's Snow Frost Star Wolf, who was in his puppy form. The little wolf was extraordinarily fond of Qin Yu'er, a bond formed due to their elemental compatibility. As an Ice Calamity Witch, Qin Yu'er exuded an aura that resonated with the young wolf, a royal descendant of the Ice Wolves Bloodline. Their connection was undeniable, and the little cub had not left her side since their first meeting, displaying a loyalty that surpassed even that towards Mo Fan, its original owner.

With Qin Yu'er and the little wolf gone, a serene silence enveloped the penthouse.

"Hnng~ Let's get some fresh air!" Mo Fan suggested as he extended his hand towards Ye Xinxia urging her to grab it.

"Okay." She nodded, and grabbed Mo Fan's hand.

Their penthouse was situated on 60th floor! So the terrace of the house was indeed a wonderful place. They both walked to the terrace of their penthouse which housed the opulent swimming pool and the luxurious view of the entire city.

Mo Fan stood near the glass railing at the edge and breathed in the smell of the city. Rather than the mountain's pure air, he preferred the air of a bustling city, because in the future everyone were living on mountains and such places because of the invasions of Ocean Monsters. They were denied of their rights to live at their homes in the cities.

Ye Xinxia, standing beside him, usually cheerful, turned sombre. She looked at Mo Fan with a serious expression, breaking the tranquillity. "Brother Mo Fan, I think I should go to a Magic High School," she said, her voice filled with determination.

Mo Fan paused, contemplating her words. "Hmm... Ah... You're already 15, after all. But you've reached the peak of the Basic Level in your Heal Element, right? What's the use of going to a Magic High School now?" he replied, his tone thoughtful.

"Even then, I think I should go to one, since it's compulsory education," Ye Xinxia insisted, her resolve unwavering.

Mo Fan glanced at her, noting the firmness in her eyes. "Well, if you want to, let's find a Magic High School specialized in White Magic," he conceded, not wanting to dismiss her desire.

"R-really? I can go to a high school?" Ye Xinxia's eyes lit up with surprise and excitement.

"Sure, why not?" Mo Fan replied with a nonchalant shrug.

Ye Xinxia's face broke into a radiant smile. She hugged Mo Fan tightly, showering him with kisses. "Thank you, Brother Mo Fan!" she exclaimed joyfully.

Mo Fan chuckled, enjoying her happiness. "Ah! Come to think of it, there is one in China. A prestigious Magic High School and University specialized in White Magic," he said, recalling a memory from his past life.

"Really? What's its name?" Ye Xinxia asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Zhejiang High School and University of White Magic. But it's all the way in Hangzhou... So, let's forget it, okay? Just join Pearl Magic Institute with me. With your qualifications and cultivation, I'm sure they'll accept you with open arms!" Mo Fan suggested, trying to steer her towards staying closer to home.

"I've heard about Zhejiang University! My teacher said they have connections with the Parthenon Temple, the place with the most supreme White Magic in the world!" Ye Xinxia's excitement was palpable. It was clear where her heart was set.

"Y-yeah, but Pearl Magic Institute is the second most prestigious Magic University in all of China, you know! You'll defin—" Mo Fan tried to persuade her but was cut off mid-sentence.

"No, Brother Mo Fan. I want to attend Zhejiang University!" Ye Xinxia declared, her determination unshaken.

"But it's all the way in Hangzhou..." Mo Fan's voice trailed off, his reluctance evident.

"It doesn't matter! I want to go there!" Ye Xinxia's tone left no room for argument.

"B-but I don't want you to leave home..." Mo Fan finally admitted his true feelings, his voice tinged with reluctance.

"..."

Ye Xinxia softened at his words, understanding his concern.

She reached out, placing a comforting hand on his arm. "Brother Mo Fan, I know you're worried. But this is important to me. I need to pursue my path, just like you have pursued yours."

Mo Fan sighed, running a hand through his hair. He looked into her eyes, seeing the determination and sincerity there. "I get it, Xinxia. I really do. But Hangzhou is far, and I won't be there to protect you."

Ye Xinxia smiled gently. "I'll be fine, Brother. I'm stronger than you think."

Mo Fan couldn't help but smile at her confidence. "Alright, alright. If it means that much to you, I'll support you. But you have to promise me you'll stay safe and won't jump into trouble."

"I promise," Ye Xinxia said, hugging him once more. "Thank you, Brother Mo Fan. You've always been there for me, and I'll make you proud."

The two of them stood cuddling together in silence for a while, the weight of her decision settling in.

_So, in the end she will still choose this path..._ Mo Fan thought. Ye Xinxia, as if drawn by fate, was once again gravitating toward the Parthenon Temple, her birthplace.

It was not like Mo Fan was against it since he knew how strong Ye Xinxia was before and is now. It's just that... Must she go down the same path again? She can choose to be a normal girl in this life, away from all the chaos and corruption of the world.

"Xinxia," Mo Fan began, holding her hand gently. "What would you do if you were given a choice between living an ordinary life like a normal girl or living the life of a Goddess in this world?"

Ye Xinxia turned to look at him, her eyes questioning. "Huh? What brought this on so suddenly?"

"Just answer the question already," he urged softly.

"Hmm... Well," She pondered, "The Ordinary life sounds tempting, but I will still go for the Goddess route." She said after some thought.

"Why though? Living an ordinary life is the best life! In fact I'm jealous of people who have the luxury to live like that..." Mo Fan said, his eyes wandering off into distance.

"Living like a Goddess will bring you nothing but pain, unnecessary responsibility, corruption, and zero free time for yourself. Nothing good will come from choosing that route," he continued slowly, his tone heavy with concern.

Ye Xinxia's eyes softened as she listened, but her resolve remained firm. "Living like a Goddess means you have unlimited power and authority in your hands. After experiencing the gruesome tragedy of Bo City, I learned that living like an ordinary person means you can do nothing but wait. Even though you know your beloved is in danger, you can't do anything to help them. You're just an ordinary person without power or authority. And waiting... waiting is a very painful thing. I would rather go and be with them, helping them by their side, than wait at home like an ordinary person. The world is a cruel place, and I don't want to lose someone else dear to me again," she said, her voice steady and resolute.

As she spoke, it felt to Mo Fan as if he was not talking to a young girl, but to the older Ye Xinxia from his past life. Her words carried a weight of experience and wisdom that transcended her years.

"I see..." Mo Fan's response was quiet, neither refuting nor affirming her decision. He looked out, the city lights twinkling in the distance, and felt a complex mix of pride and concern. His heart ached with the knowledge that her path, though chosen with clear eyes and a strong will, would inevitably lead her into the heart of turmoil once more.

As the evening wore on, Qin Yu'er returned from her walk, the little white fur ball trotting happily by her side. She noticed the change in atmosphere immediately. "What's going on? You both look so serious."

Ye Xinxia immediately beamed at her. "I've decided to attend Zhejiang High School and University of White Magic."

Qin Yu'er's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? That's amazing! But, isn't it in Hangzhou?" she said while secretly glancing at Mo Fan. She noticed his displeased expression.

Ye Xinxia nodded. "Yes, it is. But I'm ready for the challenge."

Qin Yu'er smiled warmly. "I'm sure you'll do great. And don't worry, we'll visit you often."

Mo Fan nodded in agreement. "Definitely. We'll make sure to keep in touch and visit whenever we can."
