Tang Yue, who had finally managed to get Mo Fan's number from Song Lin, sat up straight on her bed. She coughed a few times, adjusting her voice to sound as poised as possible, before dialling his number.
"Hello?" Mo Fan's voice rang out from the other end, casual and familiar.
"Hello, is this Mo Fan?" Tang Yue replied, her voice mature and incredibly seductive, a tone that made ears tingle with pleasure.
"Ms. Tang Yue! It's wonderful to hear your voice again!" Mo Fan answered, his tone bright with genuine happiness.
"Is that so... Aren't you curious where I was during the calamity?" she asked, a hint of teasing in her voice, though underlined with an edge of sadness and guilt.
"No, I know Chairman Tang Zhong and Executive Secretary Song Lin sent you home." Mo Fan replied calmly.
"Y-you're not angry about it? That I wasn't there when you needed help the most?" Tang Yue's voice wavered slightly, betraying her feelings of guilt and regret.
"I'm glad you weren't here during the tragedy," Mo Fan said, his voice soft and relieved.
Tang Yue was taken aback, staring at the phone for a moment, processing his words.
"A-anyways! I called you today to help me with something!" she said, quickly shifting the conversation. Her face felt hot, a flush spreading at the sound of Mo Fan's caring voice.
"What is it?" Mo Fan asked, his curiosity piqued.
"I am on a secret mission currently in a northern area of Hangzhou. If you're free, I could use an extra pair of hands," Tang Yue said, her tone becoming more serious.
Mo Fan's brows furrowed slightly. Wasn't she supposed to be under house arrest? He thought. "Where are you right now?" he asked, suspicion evident in his voice.
"I'll message you the location on WeChat. I'll meet you there tomorrow," Tang Yue replied, a note of finality in her voice.
I never said I'll be there, though, Mo Fan thought, not knowing whether to laugh or cry at the situation. But in the end, he said, "Okay! I'll be there on time!"
After hanging up, Mo Fan sat back, a contemplative look on his face. Should I inform Tang Zhong about this? He wondered. "I'm pretty sure she's not officially on this mission. She must have sneaked out of her house," he sighed, shaking his head.
It struck him then, a realization he hadn't considered in his younger years in his previous life : despite her composed and mature exterior, Tang Yue had a playful, almost childlike side to her. It was a side that made her even more endearing, and Mo Fan couldn't help but smile at the thought of the trouble she might be getting herself into.
...
Knock! Knock!
"Sister Qin, I'm going to meet a friend. I'll be back at night, okay?" Mo Fan said, his voice gentle as he stood behind the door to her room.
It was still morning, and Qin Yu'er, not a morning person by any stretch, groggily opened her door. Her hair was tousled, with strands sticking out in all directions, and a faint trail of drool stained the corner of her mouth.
A wave of chill emanated from her room, a cold so intense that even Mo Fan, despite having the Ice Element, shivered slightly.
"Sure…" she mumbled, stumbling into Mo Fan's arms before promptly falling asleep.
*Sigh*
Mo Fan sighed deeply, a mix of exasperation and affection in his eyes. "Just how comfortable do you feel around me?" he mused aloud.
"Telekinesis" Mo Fan said. A Silver Star Orbit was casted in an instant. A wave of Mysterious Silver enveloped his eyes, and the glow slowly covered Qin Yu'er.
Using his telekinesis, he gently lifted her and tucked her back into her bed. "I've made breakfast. Heat it before eating," he said softly, knowing she probably wouldn't remember his words in her current state.
"Mmhm," Qin Yu'er murmured, a faint smile gracing her lips even in her sleep.
Touched by her endearing behaviour, Mo Fan placed two Soul Grade Ice Cores by her bedside, with one last glance, he gently closed the door, leaving her to her peaceful slumber.
The Soul Grade Ice cores which Mo Fan placed by her bedside could easily cost around 2 billion RMB in the market and more!
...
Mo Fan quickly boarded a plane and arrived in a small town in Jiangnan, located in the northern part of Hangzhou, following the instructions sent to him on WeChat by Tang Yue. The name of the town was Xishui, an interesting name that held a promise of something quaint. However, upon arriving, Mo Fan was struck by the sight of cracked, soiled, and abandoned fields. The reality of Xishui was a stark contrast to the picturesque waterways of Jiangnan that Mo Fan had imagined. There was no sign of water anywhere—not a river, brook, or even a small pond.
Despite its current state, remnants of its past hinted that Xishui had once been a charming tourist destination. Classic inns with a touch of traditional elegance lined the streets, now worn and faded by time.
"There seems to be a Fire Element Core nearby," he murmured to himself, sensing the pulsating energy in the vicinity.
Following the address sent by the beautiful Tang Yue, Mo Fan found the "Spaced Inn." As he approached, his eyes immediately locked onto the balcony where a vision of breath-taking allure awaited him.
Tang Yue was a sight to behold. Her curvaceous, mature body was accentuated by the way she effortlessly carried herself with a blend of grace and confidence.
Her face, reminiscent of a Fire goddess, radiated an otherworldly beauty. Long black hair cascaded down her back, with a crimson hue that shimmered like flames in the sunlight.
Her slender shoulders framed a physique that embodied the epitome of feminine allure. Every aspect of her—from the way her hair swept past her delicate features to the sparkle in her ruby eyes—exuded a charm that was both captivating and intoxicating.
She was adorned in a striking black sleeveless one-piece skirt that clung to her body, accentuating every curve. Her long black gloves and long black heel boots, a matching set with the skirt, added a touch of sophistication. Draped over her shoulders was a satin red shawl, flowing through her hands and back, completing her ensemble with a touch of opulence.
As Tang Yue sensed Mo Fan's arrival, she turned, her eyes like limpid autumn waters brimming with joy. Her gaze fell upon the young man who had travelled far to find her, and a radiant smile graced her lips.
Mo Fan's heart skipped a beat. Tang Yue's beauty was almost surreal, an embodiment of elegance and beauty. Her presence alone seemed to light up the dreary surroundings of Xishui, infusing the place with a sense of vibrancy and allure that had long been forgotten.
"Mo Fan, you made it," she said, her voice melodious and inviting, as if each word she spoke was a delicate note in a symphony. "Come up, Come up!"
Mo Fan couldn't help but feel a wave of happiness wash over him. Despite the desolate landscape of Xishui, Tang Yue's presence made everything else fade into insignificance. He walked towards her, his steps light with anticipation and joy.
...
As Mo Fan ascended the stairs, Tang Yue eagerly waved her hand at him. But the moment her eyes fell upon him, she froze in her tracks, utterly stunned. It had only been a few months since she last saw him, yet the transformation was astounding.
Mo Fan had grown remarkably in that short span of time, standing now at an imposing height of 180 cm. His frame, though slender, was etched with lean, sinewy muscles that hinted at immense power and agility. His long neck gave him a regal bearing, and his exquisitely defined collarbone peeked out from under his shirt, adding an almost ethereal quality to his appearance.
His face had matured significantly, losing much of the boyishness he once had, yet retaining the vibrant essence of youth. The sharp angles of his jawline, the subtle intensity in his dark eyes, and the slight curl of his lips combined to create an aura of striking handsomeness. He exuded a magnetism that was both alluring and intimidating.
But what truly set Mo Fan apart was the aura he exuded. Since his ascension to Sacred Evil God, an intangible, almost divine presence surrounded him, making it impossible for anyone to ignore him.
Mo Fan's attire further accentuated his otherworldly presence. He wore a black, collarless half-sleeve t-shirt that clung to his torso, highlighting every muscle and curve. His long black jeans, coupled with sleek Puma sneakers, completed the look. The outfit, simple yet striking, made him stand out even more, especially since it perfectly complemented Tang Yue's outfit.
To the onlookers, the duo appeared almost like a lovey dovey pair, their coordinated attire creating an illusion of a couple meant to be together.
Tang Yue's eyes widened in admiration and shock, unable to believe the transformation before her.
Mo Fan, with his newfound grace and strength, seemed almost like a different person.
As Mo Fan reached the table, he gave Tang Yue a small, knowing smile. "It's been a while, Ms. Tang Yue," he said, his voice carrying a newfound depth and resonance.
Tang Yue finally found her voice, though it was tinged with shock. "Mo Fan, you... you've changed so much. You look... incredible."
"You look beautiful as well, Ms. Tang Yue." Mo Fan smiled, he had purposely dressed up a little since he was meeting Tang Yue after a long while. He was happy to hear her complimenting him! But he didn't show it on his face.
"You've reached Intermediate Level as well! Good Job!" Tang Yue said after she sensed his Cultivation.
"Yeah! Not only that, but I awakened all the elements too!" Mo Fan said as his nose pointed upwards.
"What?!" Tang Yue was startled upon hearing that.
"S-self Awakening?! And you've awakened all the elements?!" She was thoroughly surprised!
"Yeah!" Mo Fan nodded.
She immediately extended her will and dived inside Mo Fan's spiritual realm. He didn't stop her and let her have a peek.
Tang Yue was astounded! His spiritual realm really did have all the 19 Elements, and four of them were already at Intermediate Level! She couldn't believe her eyes!
"What the hell happened to you??" She asked.
"Nothing, even I'm surprised by this phenomenon!" Mo Fan replied nonchalantly.
He couldn't just tell her the truth, nor will she believe him. She will just tell him that he's teasing her.
"We'll talk later about my condition, let's just focus on things at hand, you said were on a secret mission?" Mo Fan asked.
"O-okay! But you better tell me the truth later on!" She said.
"Yes I will." Mo Fan replied.
Tang Yue calmed down a little, and then put on a serious face. "Do you see that man outside?" She pointed at a man in nice clothes standing outside on the ground a bit far away from the inn.
Mo Fan glanced at him, "What about him?" he asked.
"The Enforcement Union was planning to catch that guy, but he always managed to slip away from their grasps somehow. After sometime of studying his methods and motives I finally managed to track him here in this small town." Tang Yue said.
"Enforcement Union huh... What's it to you though?" Mo Fan asked, she still hadn't told him yet that she worked for the Enforcement Union.
"Oh! Did I not mention it? I am an Enforcer!" Tang Yue said.
"Ah, I see."
"You don't seem surprised..." Tang Yue said while looking a bit down.
"Heh, your Uncle is the Chairman of the Entire Enforcement Union of China and Your Aunt the second in command. It would've seemed weird if you were not one." Mo Fan said while chuckling.
"R-right..." She uttered a dry laugh.
"So, why is the Enforcement Union tracking him?" Mo Fan asked while looking at the guy.
"That's because that guy is connected to the Black Vatican. Even though he is not an official member, he seems to have worked with them for a long time. He has a lot of information about them which could be critical for us to track them down." Tang Yue said seriously.
"Hmm..." Mo Fan listened to her.
"But just because he's not from Black Vatican, you have no need to go easy on him, a person like that is a criminal and murdered who won't think twice about killing someone. Even though he's a mage he will abuse his powers to cause harm to the society!" Tang Yue said seriously.
"But the question is, why is he here in this desolate town." Mo Fan said.
"This town had been in a drought for about ten days. There's a high chance that there is a Fire Element Core involved." Tang Yue said as she had done her research before hand.
"Right. Even I thought about it." Mo Fan nodded affirming her doubts.
_Hmm...! Wait hang on a second! I think I know this place..._ Mo Fan suddenly thought as he suddenly remembered something from his previous life.
It was so long ago that Mo Fan had completely forgotten about it. But now that he saw the guy's face, he suddenly remembered a few things!
"Considering this place is not up in flames yet, I doubt it is a Soul Grade Fire Element Core." Mo Fan said.
"You're correct, good job on deducing it!" Tang Yue was impressed by Mo Fan's knowledge on the Elemental Cores. She gave him a thumbs up.
"Hahaha..." Mo Fan felt a little weird since he already knew now what was going to happen, he just said it for the sake of saying it.
"Oh, he's on the move! Let's go!" Tang Yue hurriedly got up and grabbed Mo Fan's arm. They quickly dissolved in shadows as she used Fleeing Shadow!
