Chapter 104 - This Mimic Master Is… Really Well-Rounded

"I am Spider-Man!"

Peter thought for a long moment before finally coming up with one line and declaring it with absolute conviction.

From beneath the Mimic Master's mask came a faint, cold snort.

Then she drew the blade at her waist."Spider-Man, surrender!"

But the moment Peter finished speaking, he turned around and quickly headed backstage behind the curtains.

Naturally, the Mimic Master rushed after him.

The instant he slipped past the backstage curtains, Peter shut off the microphone clipped to his costume and prepared to strike.

But as he raised his hand, a sudden thought stopped him.Even though they were behind the curtain, this place was still too close to the audience.

Also, from their brief exchange earlier, he had already realized that this Mimic Master wasn't nearly as easy to handle as he had imagined.

The biggest problem was the alloy exosuit wrapped around her body — that thing was troublesome.

Still, if he could lure her to somewhere empty and unleash his full strength in one burst, Peter was confident.

So what if the armor was thick? He could tear it apart with his bare hands.

It was just a question of how much noise that would make.

Ned felt like this was the unluckiest day he'd had in a long time.

He should've been happily sitting in the audience or waiting backstage in the lounge, cheering for his best friend Peter Parker's very first performance.

But he had eaten way too much at lunch, and his stomach had been hurting nonstop.

He couldn't hold it anymore. With no choice, he had slipped out of the audience to find a restroom.

While he was fighting his own battle in the stall, a series of loud crashing noises erupted just outside the divider.

Then came several booming thud-thud-thuds.

The floor, the stall dividers, and even the walls trembled.

Every shock felt like a massive hammer was smashing straight into Ned's heart, making him clutch his chest and tremble violently.

But he didn't dare make a sound.

Growing up in the famously "peaceful" and "wholesome" Gotham City, Ned immediately recognized what kind of situation he had just stumbled into.

This had to be a battle between a superhero and an evil super-villain!And he — Friendly Neighborhood Ned — must absolutely not cause trouble for the hero!

So he didn't even dare pull up his pants. He just shrank into the stall as small as possible, trying to erase his presence.

Fortunately, the two fighters outside were in the heat of combat and hadn't noticed the occupied stall.

During the fight, Peter realized the Mimic Master was far more bizarre than he expected.

He had assumed a "Mimic Master" was simply someone who observed and copied others' movements and fighting styles.

And she did show traits from Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Black Panther.

But what he didn't expect was how fast she could mimic things.

After exchanging blows for only a short time, Peter realized she was already using fighting tricks that he had just used seconds earlier.

Those weren't ordinary moves — these were advanced combat techniques he'd developed after merging with different Spider-Men, eventually forming his own enhanced "Spider Combat."

He'd barely used any of it in this world.

Even when he was acting as Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, catching thieves and subduing gangsters, he never needed these techniques.

There was only one explanation:

She was learning them on the spot.

And from start to finish, they had only been fighting for a few minutes.

Learning more than ten years' worth of techniques — techniques distilled from multiple Spider-Men — in just a few minutes?

Her learning ability was insane.

But Peter had also discovered the Mimic Master's weakness.

Although she could copy his techniques extremely quickly, she only copied the external form. She was imitating the motions, not replicating the essence.

And what was Spider Combat at its core?

It was built upon Spider-Man's overwhelming physical prowess, combined with advanced modern and ancient martial arts from across numerous worlds.

The techniques mattered — but the raw power mattered just as much.

The same punch thrown by a frail, sickly person might not even make an enemy flinch. But if an eight-foot-tall muscle giant threw that same punch, the ground would crack.

Combat was ultimately a contest of strength.Technique was merely the secret sauce used when both sides were equal.

And in this situation, the principle held perfectly.

The Mimic Master might have been a trained agent with exceptional physique, but compared to Peter?

Calling the difference "muscle giant vs. sickly patient" wasn't even enough to describe the gap.

If not for that thick alloy armor she was wearing, Peter would have taken her down long ago.

But even so, he had basically figured things out.

Thanks to the golden-haired Spider-Man's scientific expertise, plus the creativity of the Amazing Spider-Man and Bully Spider-Man, and the analytical insight granted by Noir Spider-Man…

And of course Peter's own impressive scientific skill…

All of this combined gave Peter an almost script-level "spider sense" for analyzing weaknesses.

During their fight, while the Mimic Master was learning his moves, Peter was repeatedly striking her armor, probing for structural flaws.

And finally — he found them.

Crack!A metal component on her armored forearm popped loose, clattering onto the floor beside the alloy combat knife she had already dropped.

The Mimic Master didn't react. She just kept attacking.

But even if she'd copied many of his moves, her physical strength couldn't compare. Peter handled her easily.

Crack!

Another piece of armor came off.

Then a third.A fourth.

Each sound marked another chunk of armor falling away.

Very soon, the Mimic Master's alloy suit was in tatters.

Only the pieces that were originally part of the integrated frame remained; all the additional reinforced plates attached afterward had been stripped off by Peter.

Thud!

At that moment, the Mimic Master landed a lunging punch right into Peter's chest.

Not because Peter couldn't dodge — he had simply frozen.

He had just taken apart the armor on her chest area when he suddenly noticed something.

The inner chest plating had two very distinct curves.

This Mimic Master is… really rounded. And soft—

Wait.

The Mimic Master is a woman?

The discovery caught Peter completely off guard.

Not because he had anything against female fighters — it was just such a shocking contrast.

Who would've guessed that someone in full exoskeleton armor, covered in weapons, ruthless and aiming to kill with every move… was actually a woman underneath?

Any normal person's first assumption would've been a man.

Taking advantage of Peter's moment of distraction, the Mimic Master leapt upward, wrapped her legs around his neck, twisted her waist, and spun her body, trying to throw him to the ground—
