Chapter 183 - Virtual Combat Room

They even proposed a backup plan, to be used only as a last resort: if things went south and Thanos proved too strong, Wanda would destroy the Mind Stone!

Strange confirmed that her chaos magic could do it!

Peter and Stark were very interested to hear that Wakanda could simulate the Mind Stone to remove it from Vision's head.

Shuri didn't mind if they learned Wakanda's technology, and proactively invited them.

In fact, she also wanted to exchange ideas with other scientists.

But Stark couldn't bring himself to do it, so he refused. He had Strange open a portal for him, and he returned to the Avengers base to prepare some backup supplies for the upcoming battle.

Peter didn't care either way.

With a learning mindset, he happily went.

Then Vision was lying on an operating table, with a device resembling an X-ray scanner above his head and a pair of high-precision mechanical hands.

Shuri walked to an operating console, controlling the equipment as she spoke to Peter, "From a biological science perspective, thought is the process where neurons transmit signals through electrical impulses or action potentials to the axon, then use chemical neurotransmitters at the neuronal synapse to transmit the signal to the next neuron. The next neuron receives it through dendrites and continues to transmit it to the third neuron via the axon."

"This is a polycrystalline structure, with radiating nerve filaments that spread outwards, forming something similar to the ability to think."

Shuri's words were not just directed at Peter, but also at Vision, who was lying on the operating table, and Wanda, who stood by their side.

It was mainly to stabilize their emotions.

After all, what she was about to do was equivalent to taking out Vision's "brain" and replacing it.

Brain surgery was somewhat startling, so she had to give them a heads-up.

"Now I will encode a neuronal synapse on this polycrystalline structure, and then replicate them in batches to other neuronal synapses."

Indeed, Wanda and Vision, who had been feeling uneasy, immediately calmed down when they heard Shuri's well-organized healing plan.

Especially Wanda.

She had finally found a family, and she couldn't imagine what life would be like without Vision.

So, she absolutely didn't want Vision to die.

This belief even surpassed Vision's own belief in life!

Peter, on the other hand, was a bit confused listening to all this.

He kind of understood, but not really.

It wasn't to the point where he'd recognize all the words individually but not understand them when put together.

It was just that many of the things Princess Shuri was saying were completely beyond his knowledge.

But Peter gained a lot of inspiration from it.

He wondered if this was the difference between Stark's super AI and those so-called artificial intelligences on the market that were actually just artificial imbeciles.

In the field of biology, it has always been said that the human brain is the most precise computer in the world, containing over 14 billion neurons. The average person only utilizes about 6% of their brain capacity. Even a groundbreaking figure like Einstein only used about 10% of their brain.

If the neural structure of the human brain were used as a model to write the underlying structure of a set of supercomputers, allowing them to have the ability to transmit and process information in a manner similar to the neural structure of the human brain…

The information in computers is transmitted through electrical signals, which have a high degree of similarity to the neurons in the human brain.

If this were the case, wouldn't it mean…

Once Peter's idea emerged, it was like a sports car hitting the gas pedal, impossible to stop.

And so, Peter stood in this research institute almost without sleep or food, watching Shuri operate on Vision's "brain transplant" for a day and a night.

It wasn't until the next morning, after everything was finished, that he realized how quickly time had passed.

Shuri was very impressed with Peter's attitude towards learning.

In fact, she had finished writing the first neural synapse in the afternoon of the first day, and she had handed over the subsequent work to the artificial intelligence.

It is worth mentioning that Wakanda also has a super artificial intelligence similar to Jarvis and Friday, called "Griot."

In the indigenous languages of Africa, Griot generally refers to the collective term for those professions such as poets, writers, artists, and musicians who have been passed down through generations.

In ancient times, "Griot" would enter the court and serve as the historians, advisors, and messengers of the kings or chiefs.

And the artificial intelligence Griot has the same status in Wakanda.

This is actually a very poetic name.

Shuri told him that Griot's "age" was actually very old, even older than her father.

Griot had already appeared several generations of kings before her brother T'Challa.

For the Wakandan royal family, Griot was essentially a senior figure they all shared.

And a super-sized one at that.

But Peter was just thinking about it.

To put it bluntly, he was still broke.

His company, though capable of attracting money, was still lacking.

If it was just setting up a supercomputer, he could manage it even if he had to sell everything.

But if he wanted to build a supercomputer cluster to serve as the core for his own AI, that was a bit of a pipe dream.

The day after the meeting, everyone was basically busy with their own tasks.

Shuri was helping Vision remove the Mind Stone, and T'Challa was mobilizing the army and integrating Wakandan resources.

Everyone else was also preparing for the upcoming battle.

The next day, after Peter finished his studies there, he finally received the Vibranium Nano-Iron Spider Suit. Then, he came to a training room in Wakanda.

It was called a training room, but it was actually just a very small cabin.

As Peter entered, the door slowly closed, and the lights inside went out with a snap.

Immediately after, they lit up again.

Peter found himself in a wide plaza.

Peter frowned and looked down at himself.

He found that the Nano-Iron Spider Suit was still on him, and the three Vibranium Spider Spears behind him were also in a released state.

But after a careful check, he realized his soul consciousness was still in his body.

What was going on?

Just as he was puzzled, Griot's voice came from his ear: "Mr. Parker, this is Wakanda's Virtual Combat Room. When entering the chamber, a virtual body will be automatically generated, and you can freely choose the weapons you want to use. Since your suit data has already been scanned and stored, it automatically generated your suit for you."

Peter's eyes lit up: "So that's how it is! But why does my body feel weaker?"

Griot replied: "In the Virtual Combat Room, all virtual bodies have the same physical qualities. This is a place purely for honing combat skills."

"Alright! I'm ready!" Peter steeled himself.
