Seed cut the call on her, feeling weirdly satisfied at interrupting her from talking.
"So....Black wings huh? And your halo....are you some kind of...angel?" Seed said turning to face Mira as they both sat down, resting against a wall.
"Close, Old man. I'm a vessel, possesed by a fallen angel" Mira said."well, at least that's what I've been told anyways."
It didn't even surprised Seed anymore. Ghosts, monsters, spirits, hauntings, divine energy, death energy. What's a fallen angel possession to the mix? It's not even worth being surprised at this point.
"Ah, well. Sorry about that...I think?" Seed replied, trying to sound apologetic about her situation of being possessed.
"DON'T BE!" Mira snapped. " I don't need pity, I'm perfectly fine and okay."
"Alright then chief" seed said, raising a hand in submission. "You won't be getting any pity from me from now on, I Promise!"
Mira glared at seed a bit before turning her head back and resting well against the wall.
Seed stared at the pile of ash the worker's fused wraith ghosts had left behind after their defeat, he could feel that familiar pull again. He stood up and walked towards the Pile of ash, hand reaching out to it as if to grab it.

"Almost went up a level" seed said as he struggled to his feet, walking back to where Mira was and resting beside her.
"What was that?" Mira asked.
"Nothing to worry about, I'll tell you some other time" seed said as he closed his eyes to get some rest.

Tires screeched outside after a while of resting, Headlights cuting through the rain.
A black SUV pulled up,Cassie hopped out first with Pedro following behind, coming out of the driving seat, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else.
Cassie reached them first, eyes wide as she took in the scene: toppled beams, tools everywhere, dust settling, broken concrete floors.
"Holy shit," she breathed, kicking a chunk of rebar. "You two... you actually did it? You fucked up the Wraith? Pedro and I figured you'd last five minutes before calling for backup. Rookies don't take down grief stricken wraiths on day one for a reason! Holy shit."
Pedro glanced around the building as He whistled low, skeptical but impressed. "No way. We scouted this site last week—those bastards were feeding on fresh deaths, by no means were they weak. I Thought it'd chew you up and spit out hair clippings." He said glancing at Seed, then Mira.
"How? Kid, your wings barely unfurled last time. And you..." He eyed Seed's dusty long hair.
"Hair tricks don't usually help in fights like this, Hmmm."
Mira crossed her arms, her halo flickering. "What, you thought we would have sat around trying to braid his hair while you come babysit us? I punched, he wrangled. Teamwork." Her tone sharp and confident!, a smirk tugging on her lips.
Seed shrugged, leaning off the wall with a wince. His body ached from the fight, all that hopping around at his age? Jeez.
"The Ghosts talked a lot. Blamed the company for their accidents, safety crap ignored, reports faked. I got through to 'em. Empathy, I guess. Then Mira lit 'em up."
Cassie burst out laughing, clapping Seed on the back hard enough to rattle his teeth. "Empathy? From you, Mr. Sarcasm? And Mira, you actually let someone cover your ass? Damn,We've got SUPER rookies over here." She ruffled Mira's white hair.
"Pedro, admit it, they're impressive as fuck. First mission, no backup, wraith dusted? Higher-ups are gonna be extremely happy. This is promo material."
Pedro grunted, but a rare smile cracked his goatee. "Fine. Not bad. But don't get cocky, next one could be a B-rank. Real monsters, not sad ghosts that you can reason with empathy" He jerked his head toward the SUV. "Let's roll. Debrief at the office And Seed? Keep that hair in check—looks like it wrestled a blender and not ghoats."
Seed rolled his eyes, falling in step. 'i bet he's just jealous of my long luxurious hair' he thought.
Mira snickered beside him, the first time she had cracked a hearty smile his way. As they piled into the back seat with rain drumming the roof of the car and the heater blasting warm air, Seed caught her eye. She held his gaze a second, giving each other an approving nod.
Cassie cranked the radio, some upbeat rock tune filling the car as Seed let himself relax, thinking to himself;
'how much more crazier can this October get'
