Iris:
Chaos had erupted in my mind. Whatever my children told me left me deeply disturbed.
As they stormed away to wave at the airplane, I turned to look at Kash.
"It makes sense," I muttered, feeling utterly defeated.
"He leaves for the woods right after he receives calls from my mother," I said as I opened the file again, pointing to the record of every time she called and he cut the line.
"I remember some of those times," I added quietly.
"He is mentioned in this file during the times I saw him sneaking out of the mansion," I continued, pointing at the timestamps.
Kash listened carefully, but I could tell he was ready to pounce on Luca at any moment. He already hated him.
This only gave him more reason to go after him, and I would not blame him for it. Luca had brought this upon himself.
"I guess it was a signal. The call was a signal," I said, stressing the call that asked him to come to the woods.
