Chapter 277 - 277-Their Weakness

I noticed a significant amount of fear on Lady Vivian's face when I mentioned Markus.

"No, wait, you need to tell me exactly what you meant," she insisted, and I knew she would. Of course, she would never look away from something that could cause stress for her daughter.

She was weirdly protective of that snake. To be honest, I do not think Zoe deserves such a mother.

Zoe was rude. She only ever cared about herself and what she wanted. That was proven when she switched from taking my side to Iris's.

She was just trying to get into her brother's good books. At least that is what I learned. Otherwise, why would she suddenly be so concerned about Iris's well-being and care for her?

There was another part that deeply disturbed me over the last few days. It was the fact that Zoe ultimately became the reason Iris was among us today.

Those people had come to take Iris with them. If only Zoe had left it alone, she would have been out of the equation by now.
