Chapter 11 - A Line

I looked at his child and he seems very familiar. I don't know where I looked at that face before.

"Hi! I am Celestia Seraphina de Everhart, I am five years old this year. It's a pleasure to meet you all" I said and that mage's eyes were sparkling.

"Woahhh~ She's more like her mother… Although her eyes are much beautiful than yours though." The archmage commented

"Don't you know that those eyes of hers signifies that she is royalty." Ignatius commented.

I observed that kid Lucian is searching something. He keeps glancing outside as if there's something that he must get in the palace.

"Tch! Lucian… Prove me your powers, try it on the princess" Archmage Lulian said while he went and sat down on the chair.

"Why are you giving your work on a mere nine-year-old kid. You're such a lazy worker father" he commented straight and it must have hit a nail on his father's head.

"How can I trust a young mage's findings when a mage at your caliber can't even be of use to her" Ignatius commented while he was glaring at both of them.

"Greetings to the Sun and the small moon of the empire who continues to light our way even through darkness" Lucian greeted in a very respectable way.

"Even your son has a respect unlike yours" Ignatius commented again.

"Your majesty… Even though I am young, my skills are much more advance than of the archmage" Lucian said and my eyes widened. Ignatius and I looked at each other as if we were sending signals together.

"Can I hold her highness' hands?" he asked for our permission first and I reach out my hand.

"I will start now" he said.

"So he can see the parasite that lessen my daughter's life force. The thing that even you can't see?" Ignatius asked Lulian again.

"Yup. Although I have my suspicions, let's just see what he sees" Lulian responded while he was clearly relaxing on the couch.

When our hands touched, it was warm at first but then I felt something surging on my veins. It was nothing at first but then I started to feel pain on my heart and my brain.

"Argh! It hurts!" I said.

"Please bear with me your highness, I am close" he said while he hold unto my other hand.

For a moment I no longer feel pain anywhere, as if I am numb to the pain.

He suddenly had a nosebleed while he holds my hand.

"Lucian! Stop it! If it hurts a lot, just let go" his father said and he stood up walking to his side.

"Father… There's no need, I really close at knowing what specifically it is" he said then he moved his shoulder.

After how many minutes, he gave me his purest smile while he said "found it, no need to worry your highness" then he fainted.

"Oh no~ I apologize… It is my fault" I told the archmage while I hold my hands together and bowed.

"No need to bow your highness. It is our duty to protect the royal family" Lulian commented.

"Is the thing inside that powerful? Causing him to faint?" I asked

"Yes it is powerful however, my son reverted back the pain to himself so that you wouldn't feel the excruciating pain" Archmage Lulian replied with a smile.

"My son rarely do this kind of thing. He never cared about others so, let us just say that you were the first person he acts this way to" he was smiling from ear to ear.

"What do you mean to say Sir Lulian?" I asked him again.

"Well, you know~ Her mother too is a mage, I don't know whether her mother cast a spell on him when he was born and before she departs to the skies. But it seems like he is not born with any emotions, he never cried since he was a baby, as if he was a mature since he was born. He never played with anyone and he locked himself in the magic archives since he was three. We never thought him any magic spells or how to read but then we were amazed when he was talking and can understand us." He shared, then Daisy and the emperor was looking at me like they are relating to the Archmage's story.

"Is that possible? Geniuses were born one after the other?" The archmage looked at me as if he was scanning to my soul.

"Thank you for the flattery, sir Lulian" I said while I raise my hand to my chest.

"Let us wait for my son to wake up" he said and we agreed.

"But when I was asleep someone talked to me" I thought I will give them a heads up.

"Talked to you? Can you hear us talk to you?" He asked and Ignatius is acting shy all of a sudden.

"At first yes but then I was trapped in a dark room" I shared and sir lulian and Ignatius just looked at each other.

"But then this lady approached me and help me out, she was very warm and it seems like she was fighting her for me" I continued.

"She mentioned a name of a person, although I don't know who that is but she called her Zalarith" I said and that made them looked at me in shock.

"HAHAHHAH this is crazy, I now know why I cannot detect that parasite and why you were sleeping for ten months." The archmage said while he holds his head.

"Is that possible though? Zalarith was sealed for centuries and no one can host her unless you are not that pure and strong. Not to mention that Celestia is a royal that host the power of light. It repels that kind of entity, don't you agree? Lulian" Ignatius defended and even the archmage is thinking the same as him.

"I cannot seem to grasp the topic" I replied looking at them.

"Urgh!" that Lucian kid woke up.

"So? What did you see?" Archmage Lulian asked.

"You really don't care about me whether I die or not do you?" he gave him a glare and the archmage immediately gave up.

"You win… So tell me now what did you see?" he asked again and that Lucian kid just sighed.

"I am not sure about it but I think that parasite contains an enormous black, dark, and shadow magic. I don't know why a royalty with light magic with a pure soul, hosting an ominous being, with that being said, I thought that the royal family is protecting us with this kind of danger. She is a host o---" Lucian was cut off by his father.

"It was Zalarith… Lucian… What do you think?" he asked him and I can see fear on the kid's eyes.
