Chapter 70 - Father and Dad.

As the two kings walked together toward their destination, Lucifer would occasionally glance at the city below them.

It shined like the home he was banished from, and as he looked on, memories began to resurface—memories he long wished to forget.

The City, the Garden, his Father—every second he glanced and looked on, he felt a sting in his heart.

The Pale King noticed this and walked slowly in order to speak with Lucifer.

"So, what do you think? Is it not beautiful?" the Pale King spoke.

And when he did, Lucifer stopped walking and just stared at the city.

"It is... it really is," he said, longing to return to Heaven just one more time.

"Thank you, but all of this wasn't just my doing, but our son's."

Lucifer looked at the Pale King with surprise in his eyes. His son made this? His son created such a beautiful kingdom.

Lucifer smiled at the thought, and he felt pride swell within him. He felt pride in his son for creating something so... beautiful.

"If you would like, you can visit whenever you like with your queen. The hot springs are quite nice," the Pale King suggested.

"That would be... nice, but let's get going. We still have much to talk about," Lucifer said.

The Pale King understood, and walking once more, they finally reached their destination. Opening the door, it revealed a magnificent workshop filled with all sorts of wonders.

Lucifer stared at the wonders and the creations before him, and unable to contain himself, he began inspecting and examining everything.

The Pale King didn't stop; in fact, he felt obligated to tell and inform the king of the different creations.

And as they inspected more and more of the Pale King's works, Lucifer, feeling an odd sense of kinship to a fellow creator, suggested creating something for him.

The Pale King, ever the generous host, simply summoned pale workshop clothes for them, and almost immediately Lucifer got ready and began creating his signature rubber duck.

Although this rubber duck was special; it had the uncanny resemblance to the Pale King, down to his crown.

The Pale King inspected the duck in fascination, as he had never seen a creature such as this.

So, feeling a bit outdone by Lucifer, the Pale King began to create something as well. As he picked up his tools, he thought of what to create, and like a light bulb flickering to life, an idea sparked.

The Pale King began to tinker and build a blade just for Lucifer, but it wasn't going to be some ordinary blade—no, this was something special.

So using his tools, he began creating a weapon fit for a king. After what felt like hours, he unveiled his greatest weapon.

A sword made of buzzsaws. The blade was completely impractical in all senses of the word, but as he held the weapon, he felt as if he had completed his greatest creation.

The Pale King looked toward Lucifer, and he saw the king staring at the blade in fascination. So handing it to him, Lucifer felt like a kid in a candy shop.

And in that moment, Lucifer had a single thought:

Maybe he wasn't so bad.
