The ride home after the wedding was supposed to be quiet and calming — at least in Hye-rin's imagination.
Instead, the silence in the backseat felt like a thick blanket wrapped too tightly around both of them.
Joon-hyuk sat beside her, jacket off, sleeves slightly rolled, his expression unreadable as he stared out the window. Not cold, not irritated — just…thinking.
Hye-rin folded her hands on her lap, pretending the heat in her cheeks wasn't from remembering the kiss.
A soft, accidental kiss would've been acceptable.

She checked the caller ID and nearly sighed with relief.
